I got a Flowermate Aura today. Pen style.
Is there a separate thread for that? Sorry but I checked and only found an Aura Hybrid thread, which is yet a different model.
Aura works with tanks which you can preload or also direct load.
It is a very nice vape esthetically speaking. Light. Nice touch the feature of the little tanks: you can go out with 10 loads and vape away stealthy, no messing around with grinders etc. Do you think it's any good?

I want to see a YouTube review off this mini pro. Yet to release one.

I have 3 vaporizers I may buy for the portable department. Haha. Need videos on all

Yes, I think it's excellent. The Mini has a size advantage, but IMO Aura is the most natural to use. Size, weight, texture, balance, display. Everything seems 'right' to me. I don't use the pods except for concentrates, but in bulk herb it's a favorite for sure.

IMO it's the result of refining the prior products. Capitalizing on their experience and expertise. I think it's a huge advance on their similar V3.0 Air.

Could you please list the 2-3 major advantages that this vaporizer has since I'm in the process of choosing a new device to order and I don't have all the time in the world to read 130 pages, although I'd love to.
I've been keeping an eye on flowermate units almost 2 years now. Don't ask me why I haven't picked one yet. Now that I'm looking more seriously on getting one (probably the pro one), I'm doing my FC research as well. There's no better place than here to find whatever you want about a vaporizer.

Moreover, I found the pro version for €150 οn zamnesia, along with other goodies that I'm planning on getting. Do you guys know zamnesia? Have you used it? Price wise I don't think that is expensive at all. Reasonable is the word I would describe it.

Please advise accordingly.

Many thnx,
Voodoo

I have used zamnesia a couple of times and I recommend it.
As we live in the same country the packages will come with ACS and there are stealthy .
One basic factor of choosing the right vape is the form factor . The pro is nice but a little big where you are outside.
If I were you I will choose the one with a battery indicator. And If are searching for your first vape I would strongly recommend to choose one with replaceable battery.
Just my opinion

I hear ya! Thnx for the info and ur ok for the zamnesia.. I've found a lot of nice little things that I'd like to order... especially from the shroomshop section.. hehehe
So if you were about to choose ur 1st electric vaporizer, which one would you go for? (don't tell me the GH, I'm waiting for it :p )

ps: u're the 3rd greek I know from FC. The other one I know him in person as well. It's good to know that the FC community is reaching out here as well! :D :)

Hey guys I'm about to order a FM mini, and I'm looking for some tips on how to use it most efficiently. When I get it, how many burn offs should I do, what's the best way to pack it, what's the best use of the screens, etc. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

I'm torn between the Mini Pro and just the Pro right now. I notice no video reviews for the Mini Pro. I like longer air paths but also do not want a huge device and so forth. Longer battery life on a Pro is also nicer over the Mini Pro.

Mine took ages too, helps alot to have some air movement going on..
Something to do with the tape used inside apparently... it will go...
I'm smelling the box and it smells like the inside of my vape, I want to guess that the box also tainted the chamber

I've been enjoying my Mini Pro since PIU once again got it in my hands in less than 48 hours after ordering.....

However, I'm questioning the battery indicator function (the very reason I wanted the Pro.....). It seemed to be doing well, lots of sessions had left me with 2/4 bars. I started a session and noticed it was now one bar. When that session timed out (or may have cut out for low battery?) it would not heat up for another 5 minutes on that load. One session?

So I put it on charge and checked the recharge. It took 1919mAh, starting out at .78 Amps and ending at .07. The last Mini I tested this way was 2686mAh, in keeping with the advertised "Lg/Samsung 2600 mAh batteries" advertised for that and other FM products. Strangely, I can't find that claim for the Pro?

That's over 30% less capacity???

I see a few possibilities. First my measurement could be off for some reason. Secondly, they could have had a bind for space inside for the display and all and decreased the physical (and therefore electrical) size of the battery to fit? Or, most likely I think, the new Pro uses an extremely conservative cut off for whatever reason. That is it stopped running 'early', perhaps to avoid the 'taking too long to get to temperature' issue that I've seen show up on the plain vanilla Mini? Or it could be a defect with my unit?

Has anyone else noticed that the fun seems to come to an abrupt and early end and forces you to recharge sooner than anticipated?

TIA

OF

I only noticed that when I left open the bottom door where the mouth piece is stored during my sessions. Once I kept it closed, I got several sessions on one charge (around 12 five minute sessions). When I kept it open, it did let cool air into the chamber which sucked battery life. Now I keep it closed and no problem. I also get nice consistent clouds at 380F throughout my sessions.

I was concerned at first about batteries when I didn't know about keeping the door closed so I wrote to Flowermate USA, and they were kind enough to explain the battery operations for me which I'll post below:

1. The PCBA with OLED for same size of V5.0S Mini case is bigger and need more space, we have to shorten the space for battery , so we cannot use 18650mAh battery any more due to limited space
2. We used high drain Lithium-Polymer battery instead of standard 18650 battery 2600Mah, for same size of Lithium battery, the capacity for high drain type is lower than standard one. But the advantages of high drain type batteries compared to the standard one are below:

A. Faster heating time as discharge current is bigger
B. Fast heating time especially when the battery does not have much capacity left ,and it has more stable discharge current.

I was out and about with my mini pro and knocked the mouthpiece off as I put it into my pocket. It was dark and I had to put the light on my phone to search for it. Fool me once I thought as I knocked it off again and again. I noticed that the screen inside the mouthpiece makes the mouthpiece a little unstable so be careful if you're out and about. I've taken it out and it's a lot more stable and a fine screen on top of the load keeps the mouthpiece clean.

Also, I bought a new scs grinder and it's amazing the difference you get with a finer grind. At least a finer grind compared to my old acrylic grinder. Makes much better work of slightly wet bud which I always get. Better taste and more vapor.

haha the problem was the acrylic grinder, that stuff isnt really good for grinding, good thing you got that upgraded grinder!!!

Herb gardener...
My acrylic only get used for hash and lemongrass now, since purchasing my kingtop zinc alloy 4pc....

Some loosely packed, fine as you can grind, dried lemongrass goes well in the FM mouthpiece,(preheated), between the screen and 5 holes...then traditional herb in the oven as usual,

A nice lemon hint without being overpowering....

Nice find! Seems like they never stop releasing new products! At some point we'll have a problem with the thread name here, there's already not enough room to list them all...

So those are between the S and Pro versions. That's a lot of LEDs and graduations, I think we're losing some on the stealth front with that design compared to a multi-color LED but it's easier to know the set temperature.

Also thanks to @arielheart for reporting the details about the new battery in the Mini Pro, this explains the difference in capacity. Maybe @OF could compare if the Mini Pro heats really faster than the Mini?

Fair question, so I tried to find out. Even after charging to the same level (about 85%) it depends on which you start first (the other is a few seconds behind). Retesting is tedious due to long cool downs. I'd say the MP is a bit over 45 seconds with the Mini a few seconds behind on average? For practical purposes the same IMO. The next pair could easily be different?

Hopefully the extra display won't force them to downsize the battery again, that's a definite negative IMO. Also hopefully they'll use the extra lights to give a battery reading like say Summit does? Or Solo/Air. A battery meter is a neat feature IMO, but should not depend on colors (like in Air) but be 'readable' by those of us who are color blind (like in Solo). I also hope they work some on the scaling with the Mini Pro. After several cycles I've decided this function is largely a joke where you need it. Twice now I've started a session with 'half charge' only to be cutoff before the load is done (after calling for another 5 minute cycle). This may be a fault with mine, but from my perspective it's very real. Like a gas gauge that lies. When you start with 'half charge' you expect something like half the usual use left?

The calibration needs work?

Who really cares about the accuracy of the top of the gas gauge range? What you want to know is 'do I have enough gas to make it'.......

Hey guys I just got the Load X grinder loader with two pods but they don't fit my flowermate v5.0s. It's like the ceramic chamber is just a little to small. Anyone experienced this?

flowermate-load-x-grinderthis is the one i ordered and recieved. It says its compatible but it definitely wont fit

They fit my FMs although in a couple of cases the gasket at the top, between the bowl and body, was off center enough to cause problems. Is this likely? I was able to shift the oven/bowl enough to fix it.

Turns out there are two sizes and the ones that come with the grinder are bigger than the ones they are selling with the current flowermates. They are sending me two normal size ones so all should be good.

has a pro got a bigger chamber for these larger ones?

Don't bet the farm on that. While there's mention of 'two sizes' in the literature that comes with the grinder, I have two grinders (one for a friend, unopened). The pods with them fit my FMs, and yes that includes the Pro I have. How larger pods I don't have might fit, I've no idea. I've bought extra pods from two vendors now, neither mentioned size (meaning they too are the same size as the ones I have. This is the first report I've heard of someone actually having seen larger ones....but I doubt it.

Good show they're sending you the right ones, IMO the ones they sent don't meet the spec since they don't fit with the FMs in service? Yet they fit the loader???

Well I got my FM Mini in today and in my excitement completely forgot most of what I'd read about technique and bowl loading methods and just went for it. Pretty intuitive for the most part, settled on the middle heat-setting and stuffed it moderately full of some well cured LavenderKush. Gave it about 9-12 seconds, took a nice, slow (Air/Solo-like) draw and ahhhhhhhhh. 5 -6 such long, slow, cloudy pulls later and I'm quite schmoasted! This lil things a sleeper!

I gotta say, as far as portables go, this one seems like a no-brainer must-have and how small is this thing? ( 3.5" x 1.75" x .75" apparently) it literally disappears in my hand!

So far, so freakin' good! Thanks for all the info, experimenting and various reviews guys. it's what sold me for sure!

Ok, seems you can just flip this critter right onto/into a 14'' glass water-piece, mouthpiece and all and get some good thick rips on 2...

just's get's betterer!

They only just started selling them and checked there stock once i emailed them and said some of the grinder packages had larger pods but no mention of it on the boxes or order details but i was the first customer with the issue.

Received another email later and the day and they are sending a whole new grinder pack due to the smaller ones not fitting in the grinder adequately.

Told me to keep the original one as well which is awesome customer service.
I'll post back once i receive it to update on the size difference.

It was a tight fit inserting it but once it got down to the white ceramic part it would not go any further. Not something i was gonna try and force.

Would of been a Pita to remove if i ever managed to get it in

Sounds like a proper screw up to me. I haven't seen the longer pods, but looking at the loader and shorter pods I don't see how longer ones would work. They'd need deeper wells to fit into or the shutter wouldn't work? That is there are two loaders as well. And no mark on the box to tell what's inside? Someone it's paying attention seems to me......

Just what vape did they expect to use the bigger pods in? You won't be alone in having issues I think.

Thanks, please do let us know what happens?

They aren't longer, it's just that the white ceremic chamber is not as wide as the first bit and the pod gets stuck once reaching the chamber so it's only halfway in. Will update when I get the replacement.

I was just using my new Mini Pro and I noticed an audible, intermittent humming or buzzing from the unit. The unit seems to be working fine aside from the noise. It's not loud, but it is a bit distracting. Any idea what is causing this?
