Updated, has avb pic now too:

Oh FrankReynolds, thanks for being so straightforward, swift, and candid wherever you are man! (I mean on Reddit ofcourse ;))

Not surprised but I guess it's still plenty powerful? More like a Mighty MiVape or SideKick type as expected... Not for me but not necessarily a bad thing for others
lmao for the ammount of pot he smokes hes very very angry and crude, but honest so thats all that matters.

Damn the pic of that AVB is ridiculous... judging from that pic, if he actually took draws the damn thing will probably combust.

I'll wait for another confirmation before opening up a return ticket. Also that dude on reddit is way too angry and rude. I understand frustration at most likely being lied to, but please don't be an asshole, be respectful.

Edit: LOL he read this and called me out. Dude we understand your anger and frustration, but you can do so by being respectful. Acting like a child only makes you look like an idiot, I'm not the only person who's noticed. You seriously need to chill, shit happens man. I don't know anyone who smokes and gets that angry and disrespectful... Peace and love man, even to those who try to take advantage of you. I also didn't call you an asshole, I said please don't act like one, but now you ARE acting like one whether or not you are trying to help us out. Also you aren't the only one who purchased one, you don't see the rest of us acting that way.

This guy says its not convection at all , i disagree with that. The company even stated it is convection and has a bit of conduction. I assume he burnt his finger bc hot air is flowing through the point where he stuck is finger , that hot air def has to leave some heat retention in that chamber causing a bit of conduction. As for being a flowermate in a new shell , i hope not , i was never into the flowermates but the company even stated this is exclusive to them. I guess well see when a few more people get them in there hands.
Thanks for the support! As stated in the live stream we did say that it was not 100% convection. Personally I don't know why someone would put their finger in the bowl, especially at the higher end temperature of the machine. I personally did a test myself as stated earlier in the thread.

"Hey YungLeaner,
The ceramic bowl does retain heat but not enough to ruin the bowl. The herb will not be ruined after one session of sitting and does mostly get cooked when you inhale. At 380F, after one minute of sitting there does appear to be a heating of the herb and after about a full session(300 seconds) there appears to be a bit of a cook on the bottom layer. We let a packed bowl sit at 380F for one session and was still able to produce a full session of vape."

Blowing the Mighty out of the water will be extremely tough... even my EVO cannot blow the Mighty out of the water.

That is what I have right now a EVO, got it a month ago and it was my first vape I have ever bought :) I freaking love it.

Getting a Mighty with my income tax :)

EDIT1: I should expand on this for Lurkers, as I am a former one. I bought a Flowermate 5.0 and it was technically my first vape. I don't count it because it literally broke 3 days later. The battery just died and it kept combusting my herb, was turned off by vaping ever since. Then I found FuckCombustion and researched and got the Evo.

I took it as blowing the mighty out of the water for value. If it performed anywhere close to the mighty at this price it would have been amazing.

hmm, well doesn't air need to be pulled from the intake for it to heat up and transfer through the herb? i'm confused. how can hot air be flowing if theres no pulling of that hot air.

Hey radiant34,
The chamber retains heat from the thermal properties of the chamber but the isolated air path aids to the cooling of the chamber and vape. It will get hot sitting there around at around 150 seconds into the session but not enough to ruin what is in the chamber.

You guys said "it gets hot sitting there around 150 seconds into the session". The guy on reddit's video was 45 seconds long and it looks like what was in there was getting quite done. Vapor was forming quite quickly. So where did this stuff not getting hot after 150 seconds conclusion come from?

My personal test was at 385F. One possible explanation is that maybe he had heated up the CFX prior to the video so the bowl still may have retained heat from the previous heat up at 420F.

Not bashing or defending either view, but we all know that hot air rises and as it does, convection causes new cooler air to enter the system and get heated -- repeat. You don't have to be actually sucking air through the system with your lungs for convection to occur, it'll happen all on its own. So technically, this vape can be a true convection vape and still release vapor from herb that is sitting directly above an airstream at 420°.

Now, given that the air heating element has its cool air intake at the bottom and the hot air exit at the top, if you turn the vape upside down, the herb should not release (hardly any) vapor, as the airflow would be reversed and hot air would be flowing out the intake and sucking cool air, over the herb, and into the system.

Maybe Boundless should get one of their engineers to do a tear down of the CFX and show everyone the spiral heat exchanger that they hint at in the blown apart schematic you can see in this video:

Heres another video at 375. i don't agree with the attitude of how this guy is going about this but I'd like to see some more videos like this from others and Boundless.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO frank!!!!!!!!
WHATS NEXT WHATS NEXT WHATS NEXT!

I think he's more upset about not getting the product he wanted rather than getting lied to.
Dude's mad after voluntarily taking a huge risk and having it turn out bad. I'd hate to see how bad he'd react after making some bad investments with larger amounts of money. Actually the angriest person I've ever heard and convinced me to leave the subreddit for here. I even stood up for him a while ago in another post; whatever no skin off my back, just politely return the product and get my money back as advertised as with every other purchase that hasn't met expectations.

Its understandable for this guy to be mad because he didn't get what was advertised.

Boundless says they never claimed to be 100% convection but then, why does it say this on the box?

Well yea, that's what i mean, he can easily get his refund no problem. But i think he's angry at the fact that they lied to that "convection or nothing" niche. which is a pretty high niche especially over at fuck combustion. We all want quality over here and quality is convection not conduction..

Yeah and I get that, but there's a way to do it respectfully no matter how much you think you've been had. Resorting to childish tantrums is not the way to do so. I even liked the guy before he decided to blow up and go full on hate speech. Whatever, not wasting my time anymore on that crap!
