After about 60 hours and 6 months my Crafty finally failed (flashing lights and send to S&B message on app). I see where tracking shows it was received by S&B Friday...... What is the typical turnaround time for those that have processed warranty claims?

I hope its fairly quick because I don't have a good portable backup vape.

Usually 1 to 2 days after they receive, you'll get either an invoice for new battery or, much more likely from your description, a notice that they've sent you a package (a new Crafty) and you'll soon be able to track that. I suppose you might email them and ask for expedited shipping, though I believe you'll pay for that.
Let us know how things work out!

Ain't easy being green
My new Mighty has a 2 minute auto shut off and when I short press the button to reset the counter it vibrates short.

At about 57 hours use, my Craft has just kind of died...the app gives me a timeout error and often stops updating/freezes, the Crafty tends to swich itself off by the time it has heated up, if I activate it again it switches off very quickly even when it should be fully charged.
I'm not sure what to do really, I bought it from Amazon last november. Would I be best contacting the seller or just send it to S&B? I guess I'd have to clean it very carefully before sending it anywhere (herb isn't legal in the UK). Maybe if I send to S&B I could pay extra and upgrade to the Mighty?
It's a little dissapointing, looking at others on here it does seem like the Crafty is a great vape when it works but sadly isn't reliable for long term regular use.

Long term regular use? IMHO I don't think it's reliable at all. My buddies Crafty just went tits up after only 20-something hours. And he used it sparingly over the course of several months. At some point S&B are going to simply have to pull this from their product line if the defect rate continues to be 100% on a long enough timeline (that isn't even very long).

Or..... allow for user replaceable batteries and 4 year warranty (considering the price they probably should).

If after 2 my year warranty my crafty dies, I will NOT buy another (just out of principal, even though it's the best vape I've used).

I will just go back to an arizer air.

Clearly (in my case) this vape is capable of long term use.. they just need to rectify the design issues.

A direct (soldered like i have done) connection to the main board for the heating element is top of the list, the next is a removable battery and an intelligent battery monitor that can tell if the battery is not capable of the discharge rate required (if someone puts in a poor performing battery the unit should let the user know and shut down) I now have 438 hrs on mine, i have changed out the battery 3 times and still this thing lives on... the original casing is not holding up so well on mine but they have already addressed this.

S&B need to get with the program or get lost to the other players emerging!!!!!!

I am on my second Crafty with over 90 hours usage and no problems - the first one had issues with fins breaking where the cooling unit attaches to the body but replaced by S&B, no questions asked.

I recently acquired the Pax2 for 'takeaweay' use and can't really get to grips with it, the draw resistance is much higher.

Intrigued by the Firefly 2 as i nearly plumped for a Firefly when I originally purchased the Crafty as my first Vape, and have a Grasshopper on pre-order. VAS is strong here!

Just as you described I received a tracking email today for a package from S&B.

My first crafty, serial 12,XXX gave up on saturday, red & yellow flashing lights. It was on 90 hours and I bought it 10 months ago. I have been very careful with it the whole time and honestly feel I've gotten my moneys worth, although I was still sad to be without a vape for a few days.

I sent it back to vapefiend for warranty & have gotten my brand new unit today. 40,XXX. Heats up to 185c in 1m35s (full bowl); how lovely this feels.

Looks like my new Crafty is out for delivery today. I did not read this tread prior to purchase but this time I am going to do some baseline tests on heatup and such to be able to track the changes. I really love this device and it has definitely helped me in waiting for my elusive GH Pre-Order but I just wish it were a little more reliable. Herbie has spoiled me from a reliability standpoint because it takes a beating and never gives me shit but my Pax and Crafty have both been back once each.

Hope your experience is better than mine with the Grasshopper, but i'm seriously thinking of buying a Crafty again now to be my out and about portable. I'm down to just 2 Mighty's and a Supreme 3 in my arsenal, and both aren't the most discrete obviously.

I may consider a Grasshopper again in say, 1-2 years. But i'm pretty sure something else will be out to trump it in no time. Common S&B herbal pen vape already!

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
3rd replacement Crafty received yesterday. (7 day turnaround in EU)

2.06 battery/charge issues
2.07 broken housing
2.08 broken housing

This latest one is firmware 2.10 and I have noticed some differences.

The power button is more responsive and has no delay when pressed.

The led warning lights flash much slower so you can see the colour patterns more clearly.

Its not creaky like the 2.08 was.

If i notice anything more I will let you guys know.

Thanks for the update! My 2.08 was quite creaky, especially the power button... Randy has new stock, so i'm guessing will be 2.10 unless that's Europe only.

Greetings

Love my Crafty but I think mighty is smoother
How long does the cu last?
Have a old cpu from defective crafty that had a weird bad taste and I cannot get rid of taste.
It made me think about safety of plastic.
Where can I get info regarding plastic used in crafty?
Started a web search and it seems like there is not much.
Storz and Nicole has a great reputation so I am hoping I can trust them.
Is there any other confirmation ?

For those of you with recent Crafty's....newest revisions.... are there any "overheating" issues/warnings. I sold my recent 2.08 with 2 hours on it, and on my last use before putting it away I received the dreaded "overheating" warning. It's not like I went straight to 210c either, so just curious if i'll just be continuing to spin my wheels by purchasing another Crafty? I am more of a higher temp vaporist, but keep it within 190-200c most of the time. Perhaps my large draws overwhelm the heater too much, and it struggles to keep up (doesn't rebound as quick as the Mighty).

No oveeheating issues as yet with my 2.10.

I use mostly at 205c.

how long they usually take to send a new crafty when the equipment gets there?

Always had it back within 10 days.

They pretty much ship it same day they get the broken one.
