I recently purchased a water pipe with a 18mm female joint. The piece came with a regular dry herb slider - I want to get something that will allow me to use waxes/concentrates. I'm pretty new to the world of concentrates so I'm looking for some help in getting whatever is needed to make this a dabbing rig.

Just buy a standard nail and a torch. Put nail in female joint... heat up with torch .. take a dab.... Pretty simple really.

Can someone tell me what the difference is between a quartz/ceramic/titanium nail ? Which is best?

Are there any other specific links you would recommend for a water pipe with a 18mm female joint? I would order from DHGate but I'm looking for somewhere with quicker shipping.

Yes, it will fit. I think that all '18mm' are actually something like 18.8mm and are sometimes referred to as '19mm'. '19mm' adapters should fit '18mm' joints perfectly, and vice versa.

okay, I think I will try that Grav quartz dome kit. So the only other thing I need is a torch, any recommendations? ;p

get a domeless nail.... I paid a lot for the domeless I got years ago. But it was sooo much better than any dome imo

Now you can get a chineese one cheap. I dunno if they are any good They are using carb cap w/ them now..

All the kids seem to rave about carb caps but I never got one cause I feed my dabs to the Sublimator now

Yeah the Bed Bath and Beyond torch I got years ago still works great too! and it was way cheaper than others avail at head shops

Dont buy the bed bath torch..go to amazon and either get the blazer gt 8000 torch or you cn get newport is a decent brand torch but i would go with the blazer..the creme brulee torch is ok but will break and for couple bucks more get the best..

I second the Blazer GT torch. Best torch I've purchased. They run around $50, but it's money well spent. Every other torch I've purchased has broken.
