I'd say "maybe". From what I know about MEDIBLES companies use trimmings from grows that would otherwise be thrown away. What you get is a mix and match of plant materials. This could mean a hybrid mix of Sativa and Indica which may not work for some people. Some medibles (Dixie/Cheeba Chews) are labeled "indica" or "saliva" but without regulation you don;t know what to believe. It would be more a trial and error type of situation. My body is favorable to Indica and so far I really like products from Dixie Elixirs....Relaxing Mints. The mint can be cut in half to equal 5mg or even further to create a 2.5mg dose. The effects are indica leaning and they come in a blister pack....just brilliant. The effects last for 10 hours. Relaxing Mints kick Marinol's ass and cost $19 for 16 mints LOL.

There should be no processing for a Marinol prescription. Either your insurance covers it or not. Either your doctor is willing to prescribe it or not. Some insurance companies now require a PA ( prior authorization) to get it. If you don;t have Aids or Cancer then you will have a hard time getting authorized for it. Thank O Care for tightening the strings on the insurance industry.

If you have access to Medical MJ then forget Marinol unless you need it for travel purposes. I am much happier with MMJ but at the moment I am desperately looking for something that is TSA proof. I need my meds when I travel but I don't want to risk breaking the law. At some point I may need to break down and buy a prescription for travel purposes.

The other issue with Marinol is THEY DON'T LAST past 6 months. They lose potency even if kept in the refrigerator. Don't believe the company who says it lasts a year. You need to know the date the bottle was produced...then add the time it was in transport and sitting in the warehouse....and even more important....HOW IT WAS STORED. You also need to be VERY CAREFUL which pharmacy you buy it from. Several have no idea how to store it and some may stock ready to expire bottles because it is cheaper than buying a fresh batch...more money to be made on this VERY expensive medicine. AVOID mom and pop pharmacies. Use national chains like Walgreens. This is a huge downside to Marinol. When I travel with them I need to make sure I have a current batch no older than 2 months before I feel comfortable enough to travel with them. It really IS NOT the perfect alternative to real MJ. Although it does have some advantages.

If I can answer anymore questions please ask.

Wow! Thank you for the education! I will have curious more questions. TX.:) The shelf life potency issue clears up a lot of the misconception being spread about it being effective at all. Wondering why a replicated (?) compound designed in a pharmaceutical setting would break down more than a plant compound.:hmm: I have a pet idea. But any thoughts?

So there is the TSA travel option but you would have to arrange to get it fresh enough to work for the duration. The negative about the shelf life might be a small plus for the peace of mind if were to lost or worse.

Other than being happier with MMJ and euphoria, could you say there was anything distinctive how it helped you with your condition compared to Marinol?
Getting with the whole ethnobotanical aspect as well.

Because synthetic THC is extremely difficult to replicate in a lab setting. That is also why it is so expensive...it is delicate.

As far as serving my needs BOTH do a great job but I give the edge to natural MJ due to product durability (10 hours duration !) and of course cost....not to mention *** STORAGE NEEDS.
