Swamp Water / Golden Dragon a use for your abv/avb

About the only 'additive' I have made to my swampwater was Red Bull. I think this was the only beverage that masked the flavor enough to make it pleasureable (as opposed to just tolerable)

I didnt let mine evap too much either, just made crude measurements via the grading of my jelly jar and followed those guidelines. Sure I could have been less of a space cadet if I had been more precise with my measurements, but proper planning beforehand of my activities kept me safe while I was losing my mind.

That was grand... I think I will scale it down a little next time, I definitely earned my membership into the white-knuckle club.

I've experimented w/ different lengths of time but honestly I don't think you need to let it sit very long. Shaking is good though. The times I left it sit longer it just made it in my opinion 'dirtier' and also had more viscosity, required extra filtering too yet still looked like used motor oil. I 'think' the stuff I do a quicker wash with is a cleaner product and still effective as all get out! Earned my white-knuckle club membership and have given out a few too

Lo, u totally make sense, I was afraid of that taste wise. So I wont let it sit too long and I'll take care of it in an hour or so.


The cauldron idea is dantesque ! Will maybe do that for underground halloween too

And will let you know how that first batch turned out.

I will add this to first post. Thanks for your input and I am sure it will help others who try this.

For the last two days I have been putting about 5 drops on some bud and letting it evap over night. The bud crumbles very well once dried. Their is no issue using it after it has evaporated, I let it sit all night.

Hi Beezleb, i would like to try this but do you think i could do the the same thing with some QWISO i have evaporating?

So, yesterday I filtered everything, after 2 and something hours i think.
I did not try yet, but it's quite dark, I put it in a coke bottle and it's like there is coke inside.


Little advice for people like me who forget to think twice before acting.
DO NOT USE COFFEE FILTER IN PAPER. It sucks so much of the liquid
I lost a lot in that process.

Also I used a plastic bottle to mix@shake and I think It's not the best idea either.

You need to make sure it is all evaporated and it will leave a sticky film. Once it gets to that stage take a piece of herb and rub it around in the film and then it will work.

If you put drops on it the ISO may not evaporate good enough and since ISO is not so internally friendly to us I would wait until its all evaporated and wipe it up on bud. Once you wipe it up, it can be used right away but you can also let it dry.

You may be able to put on drops and let sit overnight but due to not being ingestion friendly to us so I would take precaution and evaporate it down for a film first.

Some people will freeze the film to make it easier and break it up into piece but I have not tried that. I believe once ISO is evaped, they put the container with the film in the freezer and it makes more user friendly.

I am currently evaporating ~75ML of some very dark green ABV extract (mixed with a little left over Green Dragon), used Everclear to extract it.

I guess I am not understanding why some people are vaping the golden dragon on herb. Isn't the whole point that it is made up of goodies that could NOT be vaped? Are you using variable temp vapes and cranking it up or what?

So far, what I am doing is dripping it on the end of a cigarette and letting it dry and then smoking it (I know, sacrilege right?) but I do still have a small pipe and am contemplating soaking some small buds in the juice and drying for combustion later.

I only have the one vape so far (MZ) but am planning on a LB when I get back from vacation. Do I understand correctly that if left in the LB long enough, it gets closer to combustion? I am guessing that will get the higher-temp compounds into me that way.

Am I just going to eventually have to shell out for an adjustable-temp unit? What is the cheapest, reliable vape like that?

Its just another way of using it. Hey, its in the video that inspired the thread. there is still a percentage of THC still left even after vaping, under normal vaping temps.

I dont normally do it but when you need a little kick it seems to do the trick nicely. Think of it like a bathtub kief like addition hehe.

For a good inexpensive temp variable vape, check out the whip based vaporizers. The SSV, DBV, VB, VW and the like are good considerations.

How to begin ?

I gave some of that dark dragon to some 20 people yesterday night.
They all liked the product, but personnaly I was a bit disappointed because it can't say it was super strong.
Correction.
The 95 degrees Vodka was really strong, with a little touch of abved weed taste.
So of course you get the buzz from the alcool shot. And the taste is strong.
But I did not really feel anything else, maybe a beat of heat on my face, and some loose legs and arms some time.
Of course I have to take into account the fact that we were all also burning and drinking.

But all the people who tried it, loved it !
They all told me they could feel the effect of it, not super strong but a mellow and smooth effect. PLus the strong effect of the alccol.

I gave to people between half to one full cap (cap from a cola bottle). And then more whenever people were asking for another cap.

No one took more than 5 caps from 10pm to 5 am though


So, I will do it again, with twice more abv.

It's hard with such abv to say what comes from the alcool and what comes from the abv.

My conclusion is:

I should try that sober, maybe I would feel the effect better.
But I don't like the effect of alcool during the day. So I'm not super motivated for that.

I vape my weed up to 205 degrees, so there is really nothing much left.

And I'm pretty sure that the alccol plays a big part of the effect when one uses ABReallyV.

But I do aknowledge that there is maybe a little buzz from the ABV.

I still have some from that same batch, so I will be posting again after further investigations.

Maybe try pouring some in the bottom of a heat resistant mug and then slowly add boiling water to boil off a good portion of the alcohol (which boils at a lower temperature than the water does). Then you can even safely put it in the microwave in shifts until you fee that the residual alcohol has boiled off as well.

I would recommend to let evap off, put a small fan in front of it on low. While not as fast I think its far safer and without the accident of spilling with the water. But for those who are more comfortable with this it is probably not an issue.

Beezleb, maybe I'm wrong but it seems there is a major difference between your two methods.

With yours I let evaporate the alcool, but there is still some, and I want something to drink so I can't let it evaporate completely. Plus I feel like I was already short on liquid.

With Progess's method, you boil off the alcohol, but keep the active ingredients in a liquid (ie. the water) so it seems like a good idea if I want to try that with the least amount of alcohol as possible.

Or did I get everything wrong ?

Btw, can't we really not make black dragon with 45deg alcohol ?
I mean if you don't need to let it evaporate because you put as little alcohol as possible.

ahh, I misunderstood, I was reading it differently. I am interested to hear how that would work since THC is not water soluble really but I look forward to reading about it.

.. So I was giving backing cookies a go, and I just didn't have n'e good abv left to bake it with.
What I did was take my green dragon and poured about 30ml into the cookie dough (for one cookie). Mixed it and baked it at low temps.

I didn't know if this would work - but yeah it gave me a good buzz.
So I just wanted to know if n'e one else has tried cooking or baking with green dragon?

I love buying puddings - and just squirting some in... hmm

I imagine it would work in any application where you could add an alcohol. Spiked cakes, cookies, brownies, etc.

If you are looking for a vape that takes your weed to the absolute edge (without combusting) look at the SV. I like to compare my SV bowls to my Zap bowls - BIG difference.

ok-- so just so i'm reading right--

mine is in the jar, in the shaking phase.

After you shake and let it sit a bit, shake some more and then strain. Cheese cloth works best in my opinion.

I then let it evap down a bit for strength and put in a dark colored bottle out of light. I find a Worcestershire bottle works great.

So... been laughing my ass off for a few days now listening to my husband tell the story of his 'swamp water adventure'. He does NOT smoke or vape regularly.... maybe 4-6 puffs a year but he used to in his younger days

Had some friends over and was talking about my conversion to vaping, they were all ears. Husband says tell them about the 'juice'. He is intrigued by the swamp water tincture after his friend had his own adventure lol. I put about a tablespoon in a cup so he could let the friends smell it and then gets all tough guy and says "I'll drink it" I warned him that it wasn't just booze... It really was such a small amount that I really thought it wouldn't have much of an effect so I didn't stop him.

A little later a friend keeps calling wanting him to get on video chat, when I tell him he says I can't talk to him - I'm really fucked up. He's a joker so I think he's kidding, then he comes down the hall and says No, I'm REALLY fucked up! I've got cottonmouth and I'm all paranoid but the tv was looking pretty until people started calling for me. I can't talk to anyone. At first I thought he was kidding but then I realize, he's high as a kite. I'm kinda laughing as he's holding onto his recliner but was hoping he wasn't going white knuckle adventuring. He watched tv and seemed okay. Finally decides to go to bed and as he tells the story all week he was hanging on for dear life in the bed, unable to move his body but his mind was thinking all sorts of crazy crap. Next morning he calls me about 10am from the boat, says I still feel that shit. I was high and I ate a ton of lasagna and I'm still a bit paranoid. It's getting better though.

Later as he retells the story of how fucked up he was I'm dying laughing at his descriptions...thankfully he's laughing too. I thought he'd never want to see swamp water again but he did say maybe he wants to try again with less next time because the tv looked really nice

Anyhow, go sparingly - test batches, etc. The swamp water can be pretty damn potent
