I quoted both these posts because of fab issues and I was intending to get a fab.

When you say imperfections, do you mean quality as in it doesn't function well? Or it's not well made/bubbles/cracks/whatever else.

I'd quoted a fab beaker clone earlier, and it felt like the least "busy" of all the designs. But it has a feb design so now I'm worried.

No problem, I actually have the FC-187 as a piece I can get. I do get a feel sometimes that it's not just the diffusion of the piece for me. Because I can hit minivap no filtration fine. Maybe, when I add filtration I attempt to take bigger hits though. I am tempted to get the FC-187, but since it's almost hte same price as the other pieces I'm considering, I'm just not sure.

I agree, however, I think what you've said has had a lot of merit and I really want to take that into consideration!

I wanted a pretty and useful piece and I can still get that!

So I've moved on and now am looking at this piece again:

Mine works great, one of my favorite designs. Just the right amount of resistance (slight). My perc is noticeably titled. Works fine, all slits fire. Got a refund for the problem, which was cool, wish I'd held out for replacement though.

The Klein on my FC-ftk #2 was very crooked. I wasn't going to moan to them about it, but.... I'd say it's almost 30degrees off.

But... As long as it doesn't effect function...ill take the discount and stfu...

To Stevens defense... They are said to be mailing another ftk (hopefully in one piece that doesn't leak) after CNY. I was told to remind them.

Both boxes were in good shape, I assume they were packed with tiny cracks in hard to see places (inside the torus neck, inside the mouthpiece to tourists joint) that (I would like to trust them) perhaps got worse in the climate changes during shipping? I know air cargo can get ice cold, and shipping cargo can bake in the sun for weeks. This reminds me of a driving incident. When I was a child, I got a small ding on my windshield. It was cool until one day it randomly froze. my car totally defrosted and we were cruising down the street when out of no where that crack spider webbed the entire windshield. We jumped out of the car, it was pretty wild. #science... So perhaps a small thing they couldn't see just got worse? I guess the other side is they pack broken bongs just to meet orders. I was told they were wet because they went through quality control 3 times ::smh::

@pigfoot I agree with you, the more complicated the piece, the more likely something will be wrong.. That why everyone loves the d020 series stuff.

Personally, I would order from stevenlmz79 instead of cleanclearglass, because I've had better experiences with him (better shipping times and communication). I trust both sellers, I just feel that Steven cares more about shipping your items ASAP.

The quality is about the same though (sometimes Steven has better glass, sometimes not), as is the packaging, so if cleanclearglass is a lot cheaper I would go with them instead. I've ordered from both of them within the last two weeks so that's just my $0.02.

This Toro Clone [link removed] showed up a day early, just in time for shatterday! May be my favorite oil rig yet. 7.5 in. tall, 8 slit perc. Solid, thick glass, nice lipping. Really retains the flavor. Got this nail recently too. Tastes like quartz, with more surface area than a banger, it seems to vaporize oil really efficiently. The standard china ti carb cap is the same diameter, so it fits on, not over the dish. Works really well though, and gives the right amount of restriction for complete vaporization.

So the rig (I ordered 2) is from Kathy, and was wrapped in a kind of bubble wrap I hadn't seen before. Long tubes, instead of the usual bubbles. Very sturdy, it has thicker material than the usual bubble wrap. No external box, but a layer of thick plastic wrap. Very secure packing, everything arrived ok. Also, there was a paper sticker, with "D&K" and "Warranty void if removed". LOL....took that off right away. Wonder what she's thinking with that?

Looks like a nice setup!! I will love one without the Toro logo, I limk my glass "clean". I'm also waiting for that exact nail :)

Label's just painted on, so easy enough to remove. I've always been against labels too, but I actually kind of like this one. The nail's been very interesting. On the first one I got, the dish was kind of lumpy, so he sent me another one, which is much better, and now I have spare. I've been really liking the new thicker, quartz bangers, but as soon as I saw this hybrid clone, I wanted to try it. The design on this provides a more airy hit than a banger, so a bit less flavor. But it works really well. Oil seems to spread out fast on the hot surface, and vapes more completely than my bangers. I think this would handle some large dabs. The dish is the perfect width for q-tip tech.

I'd say it's my favorite rig so far. Distance from the mouthpiece to the joint is perfect, it's got the right amount of diffusion (low), and can size (small). Overall, it's a small rig, which some may not like, but I find it perfect. Parts are aligned well, consistent with the best china glass. Perc is welded to the base, so it's very sturdy, slits are flame polished, base is nice and thick, lipping looks great. The design prevents getting water in mouth.

Hi! I'm looking for a piece to accompany an Underdog using the NonG stems. I'll possibly use it for concentrates in the future. I want something that will retain a good bit of flavor (so not a ton of diffusion), but I also want a bit larger volume than something like the D020-D. I kinda like to take big rips. I'm trying not to spend more than ~$40.

Something like this would be great if it were a little larger, I think. This one's only 7":

It's my first time using domeless, any tips how to heat them?

I was thinking about heating the DualiTi from the sides of the dish until red and then wait around 30 seconds, should i wait more? heat it from top also?

And for the banger from the bottom until red and wait also around 30 seconds, should I wait longer because it's 4mm? heat it from the sides too?

I have those same nails, except my banger is 3mm. I heat the domeless from sides and top (mostly sides), for maybe 20 seconds? The banger I just heat from the bottom. Neither one gets red. I think you'll have to experiment with heating times. The crucial part seems to be cool down. I use a timer on my phone. Bit of extra work, but so worth it. The banger I let cool for 60 seconds, the domeless 55. For low temp (tasty) dabs, the oil should pool a bit, not vaporize instantly. That's where your carb cap comes in. The banger cap you posted didn't work for me, not enough restriction. I like this one. For the domeless nail, this cap works great, although it is too small to go over the nail, it just sits on top. After you put on the cap, keep inhaling to finish the dab. Q tip tech, or swabbing any remaining oil with a (you guessed it) Q tip, leaves the nail clean and ready for the next dab.

Thanks for your answers! Yeah I was refering to the cooling time, didn't express myself really well. Gonna try the banger right now, it's a bummer that the cap doesn't works, will try making the hole smaller with my finger if it doesn't get's too hot. if not I will use a marble or maybe the back of this pendant:

I have the same cap for the domeless and as you said it doesn't go over the nail. Nice to know that it will work :)

Plan to use the q tip tech too, I like my glass celan so would try to keep the quartz clean too :science:

Edit: Just tried the banger and loved it, much better than a nail and glob for sure. You where right about the cap, but if you use it upside down putting your finger in the hole, works pretty nice!
