Hey Drew, sorry I've been hesitant to get involved as I'm not [currently] an Evo owner myself. But I've sure had my fair share of VXL induced headaches recently, so I do understand where your coming from.
While re-reading your issues I noticed this part REALLY stand out to me, and I'm pretty surprised nobody else has commented on it yet. But it totally sounds to me like you're describing wire screen fragments falling apart from the ELB...
I haven't used an ELB yet so I'm not familiar with them, but I'd personally be considered if ANY screen I ever used started falling apart... especially if it was falling into the heating chamber on a vaporizer.
I really am not sure what's going on here but I do not think that ELB's should ever "start to dissolve" -- can you please describe this more in depth? Perhaps include a picture if possible even.
Hopefully someone with more Evo experience can give insight into this.

I just received a VapeXNail from Vapor Warehouse. When I insert it into the cloud it doesn't drop in all the way because it is resting on the piece where the hole narrows. This prevents any air from flowing and the VapeXNail just clinks around.
I just put an oring on it and it seems to be working alright.
Have any of you experienced this?

@RobDaBomb they're just mesh basket screens, some fall apart after a while & others last for years, it's nothing to worry about.

Okay that's good to know, thanks, but is there any cause for concern with the little strands of mesh resting in the bamboo tube?
Like I said I've only had an Evo in my possession for less than a day, and it didn't turn on, so I didn't have much time to figure it out yet. Although I do remember looking through the bamboo when I shortly had my DOA Evo and being surprised at the design. It appears like it gets quite narrow in the middle of the device (probably intending to control airflow so it gets heated properly), I'd imagine if anything fell into the bamboo then they'd get stuck on a narrow lip somewhere in there. I'm sure the glass at this point in the tube is extremellyyy hot as it's right by the heating element
I don't know anything about mesh and its heating properties, but would it be possible that it could fuse or stick to the bamboo at those crazy high temperatures and then release a slight odor/flavor? I'm just trying to rule out potential things that could explain @Drew_de_Verdamper's poor vapor quality on two separate units.

I gave my first cloud to my cousin. Since then, it's stopped heating. Instead, the unit just blinks red slowly. Anyone know what this is?
It's a tricky situation as well since this unit is in Canada. I don't know of any VapeXhale support locations in Canada to send it to.

@Drew_de_Verdamper if pieces of your screen are falling down in the heater or bamboo then that will cause off gasing
The screens don't go that far down the tube where the heat is greater so if pieces of the screen are making it down there that's gonna create some problems.
@ataxian I truly value your opinion and look forward to hearing about your EVO experience. The only reason ive ever given the EVO props is because it truly allowed me to enjoy medicinal properties and flavor profiles in my Cannabis that I'd never experienced before. I can't wait till you get yours bro!!

@Dr. Plutonious the slow blinking red occurred to me two times just a few days after i got my unit. After wiggling the power cord it turned on again just like normal.
I think the slow blinking red indicates something went wrong with the power supply or lose connection of the cord.

@Drew_de_Verdamper: I don't think breaking thread in ELBs could be that, if these fell down, I think it would only burn a little bit of material stuck to it and then it would fall out of the bottom. Have you tried hitting it without any weed? Only with an empty ELB and then without anything? That could get us closer to the cause. If the unit is giving you bad taste even without an ELB, then I would double check if the bamboo is not broken and then I would carefully clean it. Pour few drops of isopropanol in, plug both ends, shake and then rinse with water the same way.Then pull hard on it to get most of water out and then let it dry before turning it on again. Other that that I'm out of ideas.

I was not ready for CLOUD before the EVO so what I had worked.
For me it was gradual.
The EVO I'm ready in a bad way.
I will sell my collection starting Tomorrow.

My wife makes most the money too bro! She has also let me put my primary hobby (TransAm restoration) on hold to feed my new found vape and glass hobbies! She just reminded me that its time to finish up this protect because it's time to finish the TA! So after 2.5 yrs and 30+ pieces of glass 6vaporizers 3grinders and countless adapters i guess it's time to redirect these funds! I agree with your wife though @ataxian ,with the right pieces to a collection there's no need to add more! Get that EVO bro, and you and I will be cured of VAS GAS! Awesome, thanks for the clarification. We did end up getting it to work after that. We unplugged the power cable from the unit, then replugged it in. Worked fine.
It was my first unit and I didn't want it to fail for my cousin!
