Planetvape is a good resource too, I've bought plenty from them. I like to buy from vendors that support FC, they help pay the bills here.

Buy from who you want, that's your choice. I will buy where I want to. I will spread the word of my good fortune with vendors that I prefer. I hope nobody around here has a problem with that.

Happy Friday friends, get your AAs out and celebrate.

Edit
@beiberhole69 some vendors are a pain in the ass to deal with when it comes to an exchange and shipping. Plenty don't pay for shipping back to their company. That can be $10 or more.

I also like to help out fellow FCers that have products that they make or sell, such as Ed's mouthpieces and such or such as FCer Scott from Haze.

The only reason I recommend PIU is because they give good service and good prices pure and simple. I have no horse in the race. Other forums get sniping, that's why FC is my only board I interact with. I don't even do Facebook. I don't need the aggravation.
I feel the same. The price, service, security, shipping, is hard to beat. I have no vested interest, just good experiences.

Happy Saturday CarolKing!!!

With you there, only honestly reporting outstanding experiences. Trying to share the good word, in the hopes others can profit from the collective good experiences. Randy works hard to support us, he deserves the recognition.

Shills are crooks, out to deceive honest folks for profit. As others here, I have no financial interest in PIU and sure don't like being accused otherwise. Take the free advice or not, but please don't try to accuse me of being dishonest?

Hey guys

Was wondering about the arizer air battery..
I've read that it's somewhat lacking, no huge problem since and original one goes for about 17euros(?).
How do you charge them though? Is there a specific charger?

You're right though, a lot of people probably would rather spend the extra $40 or $50... and I'm sure there's also a lot of people who would rather hunt for the best deal possible. And we can provide as accurate info as possible to help them make the best decision possible for themselves.
I think alot like you in regards to saving the money. I love saving money and bargain shopping for vapes...that does however depend on the vape and how likely it is to need service.

Now if you can't find the vape you want cheaper elsewhere (and bargain vape hunting can lead to knock offs, ect.) Then PUI is a great choice.

I have only gotten two vapes from them, but wouldn't hesitate to order from them.

In alot of cases they are faster to reply than the vape company themselves and they have a customer first approach, which is a hard thing to have noticed for an online store.

No one here works for puffitup (unless officially titled as such)

Besides where to buy the vape is only a small portion of the battle...why would someone discard a whole site of valuable information, because we all recommend the same webstore with kick ass service?

I have never been on the reddits/sub reddits and don't really understand it. The few times I have tried to Google some info and landed there, there seemed to be alot of good info...

But also name calling, trolling and this very 'bro-ey' like vibe I don't like personally.

Like @CarolKing I like fc more than alot of other social networking sites.

I like my community. Lol

It can charge in unit with provided charging cable or you can buy your own external battery charger if you'd like...

@CentiZen has cheaper stock batteries and honestly with 2 batteries I can make it most if not all day

They are 18650's which is a standard size...so if you do buy an external charger, there are plenty of options

I disagree with the 'somewhat lacking' opinion. Arizer made a very educated choice, the best available for the job basically. Our very own CentiZen did some extensive research/testing on this, there's a tread somewhere on it. IMO you should stick to the factory battery. I have piles of high performance 18650s around from other projects, I bought a factory 'second battery' and find two are plenty for my needs.

I charge in the Air, it works well and is fast. You can get either of these cables and charge from a handy USB port, should you have a USB port handy:

FYI, 'Our very own' CentiZen ships from Canada but charges in US dollars. There is no savings there. It's also misleading as there's no indication of this sneakiness until you get to payment.

I'm not too bright before noon...so I will ask, is it more expensive for US customers or canda? If they (CentiZen) charges in USD, unless there is some hidden fee, I should be fine...only having USD and all?

As I understand it, the Canadian Dollar is 'cheap', 80 cents US to the their Dollar? If you can buy in Canadian Dollars (say 100CD) and can pay in US (say $80) that's a clear savings (over $100 US). Some of the Canadian sites I buy from convert to USD, some don't. I think the 'rub' here is buying in USD but thinking it's Canadian and not getting an extra 20% or so off?

Sometimes there is a modest fee, when you're charged in foreign money, by your CC company, but I don't think that's happening here?

I bought my spare from PIU with an Air. IIRC it was ten bucks at the time and shipping was, of course, free. Even at twice that, it's a one time purchase?

just looked it up, $100 CAD right now equals $72 USD, so if you can find a good price in cad, itl be about 70% of the cost in USD, you can buy a solo right now for like $110 USD on most canadian sites

@ CAD $250 for the Uber portable (new) Air "Gel", if Arizer introduces such a model as a successor to their current Air, we can get it stateside for $180!-- i'd be stroked, err, stoked!

Got my new "Air" for Christmas gift and I must say I love it. October 2015 for my first "VAPE" I purchased the E-Nano and enjoyed so much I wanted another vape, especially one more portable & for a backup since preferring vaping over conventional.

From my experience with both vapes I prefer the AIR over the E-nano.
I am a "Noob" to the vape scene so maybe I need some more time but straight up vaping for me and friends also prefer the "AIR".

Draw is much better on the AIR.
Portable meant more than I expected but even when using the AIR with the power/charge cable I prefer the AIR for its smaller size i guess that seemed a little easier to use than the E-nano.

Efficiency and taste were Equal. Yet the AIR for me was better priced with the
availability of replacement parts for the AIR.

Few of my friends after testing have purchased a few AIR's for themselves lol.
I'm thinking of a SSV soon :) Though this AIR is badass! and thanks to FC for helping me with my choices so far in the vape world.

Again I am a noob to vapes & hope i'm okay posting my results from both the E-Nano and AIR arizer here, I understand if a mod needs to delete or ask me to remove etc.

Thanks FC.

Im glad you are liking your AIR, I absolutely LOVE mine! I just bought one of ed's tnt granadillo stems for mine, Im already thinking of ordering a custom one for my NANO!

the nano and air are two different beasts. but overall, the nano WILL most likely be more efficient, Try practicing with the nano a bit more, and make sure to stir in between hits, pack loosely, and do not pack it full too much. I find the nano is great when I just need a few hits to get a little medicated, or I could do a few stems and get VERY medicated!

The air I love for my pain, because it is easier to use for sure than the nano, and very light! I can use it in bed if I am not feeling well.

the air is definitely a "session" vape, some people like this more than on demand convection, I like both, But I do reach for my air more for when I want a ten min, thorough extraction

Welcome to our little corner of the forum, you'll fit right in!

I knew our dollar was worth more, but someone said CentiZens batteries weren't a value because of sneakiness...I always figured the prices were in USD, so unless there was some hidden fee...I don't notice the deception, is all!

$11 for CentiZen's vs $17 with arizer, gives CentiZen the win for value?

There is no sneakiness whatsoever. Almost certainly @CentiZen buys his batteries in US$ from China & sells in US$. What this achieves is a stable price point for long term business. I understand exploiting exchange rate fluctuations to your benefit but this is not one of those instances. The alternative is for CentiZen to have floating sell prices based on currency fluctuations between CAD/USD & you will pay a different price point on each & every purchase to ensure he makes a fixed margin on each battery sold. Buying & selling in US$ allows CentiZen to amortize the cost & sell fluctuations over a fixed period & reevaluate his prices at the end of those periods.

Of course if you feel he is being misleading then feel free to use whatever battery you like from whatever vendor you like. Somehow I get the feeling that you are more upset with not being able to exploit the exchange rate gap though.

I cannot speak to his service levels or quality as I have not dealt with CentiZen but buying & selling in a fixed currency in this uncertain climate is prudent.

While most of what you say is true (and to the point) I think he buys them from Germany (not that it really matters)?
http://dampfakkus.de/akkutest.php?id=112&a=5

And it's my understanding that his site has been in US Dollars from the start and he's working for official business status in Canada so he can sell in Canadian money and get better (business) shipping rates. I don't find word that's actually happened. I do know folks have been complaining about the shipping costs:
I do my best to keep FC monitored, but I've been spending a huge amount of time over the past week officially registering VapePower as a business with the Canadian government. It's been a huge headache but it will mean that I can offer more competitive shipping rates and operate in Canadian dollars. No excuse, but I want you to know I have not been trying to ignore you!

I too agree the 'sneakiness' accusation seems out of line. I see nothing dishonest or underhanded. Up to that point (at least) he was/is compelled by law to use USD? And even aside never claimed Canadian Dollars......

There was something on the box. I'm wondering why did the seller rip it out.

There is something wrong with my Air now. I am wondering if anyone has experienced it? It is working fine, batteries holding charge & tuns on & off ok. However if I stand it up on my coffee table for example & drop it from under 1" in height (as in let it slide through my fingers onto the table) or bump it as I am placing it upright it turns itself off? Very strange & it only seems to happen when it hits the edge of the vape not dead center.

I will keep an eye on it but if it interferes with my regular use I will have to send it back to AV so they can deal with Arizer. The vape itself seems to work fine though so I am not overly concerned.

Not to worry, yes I've seen it but on the counterfeit Air I bought, thus far not on a genuine one.

What's happening is the inertia of the battery (it's weight in motion) when it abruptly stops compresses the spring enough so the positive side breaks contact. It was both 'fun to play with' and a PITA on the counterfeit when I was testing it. If it bugs you too much, a careful, minor stretch of the spring should send it packing.

Loosen the cap a turn or two and it 'gets worse'?

I will try that & that was the logical conclusion I was arriving at since it performs fine until the inertia kicks in. It is more related to the edge of the battery cover rather than the spring being at fault. Rather strange & may necessitate me adding a new silicone skin to buffer the bottom edge?

I have had my Air on bouncing it off the arm of my chair & swinging it around in my fist etc (basically generating as many different sources of inertia as I could) without issue. I can have my Air running & drop it the same way in my padded armrest no problem but a bump on the coffee table & it switches off.

Maybe this is like when you are in love with someone & it is the first time you realize they are not as perfect as you thought  . Hopefully I don't have to send it back for warranty as that will be a pain in the butt. If I did end up leaving if may well be for the Air's cougar mother who is cheaper & more experienced in what you really want :worms:.

I will report back but it is the first time I have noticed it happening.

Yep. It's acceleration (or deceleration, same thing really), not speed, that does it. Waving it around or bouncing off 'soft' surfaces is not going to cut it. It's the rapid change of speed that creates the inertia making the 'extra weight' to compress the spring and let the battery shift. A corner against a hard surface is probably the worst case?

Mine was easy to run down since I had genuine parts to swap into the game. Their cap made my genuine Air lame, pretty conclusive. Cleaning the battery ends might also help, when contact gets dicey is when problems with surface oils, grime and such tend to show up. Did no good in my case, but worth a try.

Think of it as a friendly ghost.....some aren't so benign you know.
