Underdog Log Vapes

Id love to see a jar like 7th Floor offers, but the hole to blow the herbs into be more ontop of the jar so it can hold more, and have a flip close rubber/metal seal. I normally just use plastic pop top containers but a nice jar with hole the perfect size to not get dried herb blowing around at ya would be nice & easy.

I just stir the load and then tap my stem into an Altoid tin and blow the rest into the air, which is really just a few specks. Couldn't be easier.

I've noticed if you use the blow method to empty the stem you want to do it while it's still hot. Once the plant matter and stem cool down it makes it harder to blow out. Just a little tip I thought I'd pass.

I agree emptying the stems is the most annoying part.

I use this: (I'm a stirrer and knocker, not a blower)

Heya Dogs, nice to see a bunch of new faces around here and happy to hear so many new people enjoying their Pups!

We've been crazy-busy around here taking care of both UD and non-UD stuff that's gotten backed up over the busy holiday season so haven't had much time to post. We'll try and drop in on a more regular basis as things are slowly getting back to normal.

We should be getting our custom stainless steel heating elements in the next week or two and will be having a big refresh then. We'll also be taking care of anyone who didn't get a Holiday Vape before we ran out of heating elements and asked us for a rain-check.

Oh, we are also stocking (for a limited time) some nice 14mm J-hooks that pair real nice with our NonGs and GonGs. We haven't gotten them up on the website yet but Underdogette is working on it.

There will also be some 18mm NonGs and big SS Stems that use a big, thick SS tubing that fits around the outside of the core tube like our Direct Draw and GonGs do. These are leftovers from a custom batch I made and will be available until they're gone, like the J-hooks we're working on getting them up on the site.

Lastly (for now lol) we're down to a couple dozen Stainless Stems left and probably won't be making more so if you wanted one (or more) you'd best stock up in the next couple weeks.

It's unlikely to work, the silicone and SS tip require a very specific inner diameter of glass tube to fit properly. I suppose it's possible that's the right size but I imagine the odds are pretty heavily against it.

Got the pack of stems today Ed and damn they're nice, thanks man! I hope you're able to work the time in to your schedule to stock a line on your site for our UD users I'm sure they'd love them!

I can't stress enough what a bad idea accidentally (or otherwise) leaving your Dog (or any vape really) on in an enclosed spot, under blankets, etc would be. It should be treated like any other device that reaches high temperatures (like heaters, irons, curling irons, soldering irons, etc). I like to go one step further and treat it as I would a candle and keep it away from anything that's at all flammable.

Safety aspects aside the Dog also needs sufficient air to keep it's temperature in the intended zone. Too little air or smothered in something and it will damage or destroy itself.

This post made my wallet cry out in horror.

My Lotus J-hook is amazing with the UD, really really recommend a J-hook to any dog owner. So smooth and less fuss than water.

Good deal, glad you have gotten them and hope you have had time to give them a go, pls do let me know how you like the 3 pack over the core pieces I sent ya, I hope you like that style, I sure had fun making them! I really wanna make room for em, I like the look of the UD OEM stems I made, wanna make the design of those stems either tip/bushing exclusive to the UD, I like the feel of the blackwood and the sleek lines in the hand!

I am praying & hoping that @Ed's TnT gets his hands on some black walnut for the UD. If you do I will take a set in a heartbeat .

Then I moved to another jar, and then to a little tupperware. Now I just blow them out into the garbage. But the big mason jar would be my best suggestion, as it provided enough depth that there was very little kickback until the jar was almost full. I have roughly 4/5 ounces of AVB in total at this moment, so that's why I've been kicking it out into the garbage, I am really lazy with it lol no help from the dogs !

I use a 300ml screw top jar for my daily ABV leavings. The metal lid gets stems/baskets emptied into it & then dumped in the jar when full. When the jar is full I dump it in a sandwich bag but now i have to dump a shitload in the garbage one week.

The little Baggie it came with really did the best job discarding the abv. I wonder if I could use like a nut milk bag as a replacement

Posts like this cause relationship breakups Ed . I need to chill on the the money wasting for a month or two but damm the seed has been planted well & truly.

Oh noes! I'm a dipsh**. Tripped over the cord and violently sent the vape crashing into a concrete block 6' away.

Luckily damage seems minimal considering the distance & hight it flew from. I think I can pick the dirt out with a dental pick then lightly buff and polish it. Already battle wounded.

I just worry about the internal parts, like the ceramic heating element cracking or something.... Still works seemingly fine though, that fall would have broken all my other vape's so I guess that's a huge plus for something I wanted to be portable. I'll have to order a more robust one for my true portable one.

I believe the heater cartridge is SS so you should be fine! They are tough, for sure. Enjoy!

Battle wounded already! Looks like it should be ok. Also, your vape has a stainless steel heater cartridge welded in place. So really, the only thing is that maybe the entire core might have shifted upwards. If your core seems a little wobbly, just press down (with some chopsticks or some such) onto that snap ring in the top (around the edges) that's holding the core down in place.

Oh duh, I have read its a custom as heater, just spaced. Like I said, still hits like a champ. If anything, that just salitified my belief I made the right choice in vape's. Like I said, no other vape would have likely survived that, well none that I have owned. My mighty woulda exploded lol. It really fell far and hard (was on the roof of my car, won't put it there again lol). But I'll be ordering another log hopefully soon that will be more of a beater log for camping n hiking, this madrone grenade is too beautiful lol.

@Copacetic yea exactly, thats why I'm gunna clean it up the best I can and not worry. Just like I'm worn from years of abuse, so will my vape in many years. Will be cool, memories for all the Knicks. No plastic vape offers that

Had to pick up an oversized SS stem. I love the regular SS stem so why not get one that can handle a bigger load!

I clicked on the oversized SS stem and it's coming up with an error- are they gone already? Wow, gotta strike while the iron is hot and all that!

Oops I didn't think there'd be that much demand for so many so fast.. I've got enough stainless left for a dozen or so more. I'll have time to make them mid to late next week and will have Underdogette let you guys (and girls) know when they're ready.
