For the MUZZMOD experts! I need to buy the JB weld epoxy....do i go with the regular that says:

Super strong, non-toxic, and temperature resistant up to 600°F

OR, do I go with the JB weld HIGH HEAT putty stick?

Able to withstand continuous heat up to 450°F, and intermittent heat up to 500°?

Confusing...

The epoxy goes on the OUTSIDE of the adapter, so the temperature never gets all that high. That is, you're not using it on the surface between the glass adapter and the CU base like you would with glue. Otherwise, some could leak into the vapor path. You're placing the epoxy on the outside, sort of filling in the gap between the tapered edge and the CU base, using the epoxy to functionally turn the two separate objects into one piece.

I may not have said that well enough, but the approach is actually just a little different than face-to-face gluing, so going for the highest-possible temperature tolerance isn't really relevant. Either of these will do.

That leaves the question as, mixing tubes of gooey liquid, or using a premixed putty? I like the idea of a putty stick because it's so clean, but I'm not sure if it would be too stiff to work into a small space. There's not much room for overflow, because the CU base still has to be able to twist between the tiny tabs to be attached to the vape. I was a little too messy with mine the first time, and wound up having to sand down where I hadn't cleaned up the still-liquid epoxy well enough to twist the mod smoothly into place.

Hence my being intrigued by the idea of a putty stick that was less messy...assuming that it could fit...which I'm not sure that it would...?

Hi guys, before the end of the week I will be probably enjoying a Mighty! Worse case next week!
minivap is taking too much to get ready to go back on rotation and being tied to the Crafty battery has been a pretty sad sport, until now!
For me, Mighty won over a good desktop as it is pricey as fuck (especially the combination of BOTH C+M!) but the less "time consuming" option, which fits best my mood now. It's the same as owning a Crafty (which I have, 126hrs, 2.05 fw with old fins). Nothing to learn as a Volcano or Herbalaire would have been, with bags and such.

Thanks man, really appreciate your reply.... the wife came home with the high temp putty so that's what it will be! Now I have all my parts, and my bro @lazylathe is going to put it together for me

You will not regret it...we're in the same boat! I just received my MV, and it's great but it's no Mighty! Hard waiting 10 minutes just to come up to temp, when the Mighty is ready to go in 90 seconds!

Herbalizer, Herbalaire, EVO, Herborizer, Vriptech, SSV/LSV, EQ, Solo, Nano, Grasshopper, and Alfa are just some of the vapes i've owned that pale in comparison to the Mighty for me!

Mighty>Crafty IMO, but Crafty fills a need certainly if you have it.

They are no longer known for good CS. I sent them an email two weeks ago requesting a shipping label...no response. They never answer the phone either...kind of makes me want to sell the mighty in all honesty.

It amazes me how different people have different CS experiences with S&B. Regardless, at this point I love the Mighty so much that I will accept the inconsistency, especially since my own experience has been AAA+. Until there is a better product for me, I have no choice. Just like being forced to buy the Crafty (again)... they just making fucking amazing products. I thought the GH would be my Crafty killer, but i'm not so sure anymore. The Mighty is just in another league!

S&B - if you just shrank the Mighty a little....kept the 2nd battery and lcd display..... my gawd.... I would pay good money for that!

I got it!
Now the Crafty fits a perfect place for my needs. Outside always with me if I vape, otherwise it's perfect for a session or 2 while Mighty reloads the batteries! :D
Now I understand what's a Mighty and yes, it's way better than the Crafty for performance. Better CU, not too hot at 210°C while crafty is, and not being tied to a 2 session vape is nicer.
Not being tied to a fucking smartphone after work is amazing too! Doing all the temps I want with just 2 buttons and no phone! No vape dying on you so I'm free to experiment at low temps too. Happy Christmas to me.

That's it man! There is a fit for each of the units, but Mighty is the desktop replacement IMO. I don't think that the Crafty is too hot at 210c.... the smaller CU makes a bit of a difference, but not that big for me anyways. Enjoy!

I feel like the Crafty at 210 seems "soft" to me, Mighty didn't get ant stress until now but feels more robust and mostly the longer CU makes me not to cough at 210 while I cough already at 205 on the Crafty. Test needed for confirmation.
Minivap with the new heating times of 2 mins is a contender for the desktop killer or "day out" vape, but there is some odd flavor after the heater update and I cannot enjoy as I would. It could be my old sili-cones releasing bad smell or bending. No need to bother why since I have the Mighty but that's a nice tool to enjoy a bowl with many sips compared to getting face melted after having spent a bowl in 5 hits.
I miss not being able to turn the screen off and obviously not being able to replace the batteries. Do S&B really expect people not to hack it or buy elsewhere on the long run? I'd like to open it a bit more. Of course after the end of the warranty :p
But there's not a single screw!
MOSTLY WHAT I MISS IS THE CRAFTY'S HOURS OF OPERATION TIMER!
ps: what about that (fantasy?) new SB unit out in January?
pps: having both crafty AND mighty? I feel it's better spent money than putting 600+ on a single vape like the cloud Evo, and I did both! And it's not glass being fragile, it's portables being awesome and me using the Crafty more than the evo for semplicity, let alone now with the Mighty. Best vape I own but let me change those fucking batteries for 350€ already. Or case hacks to make it swappable will be out sooner or later.

Damn I think I will have to send my mighty in very soon. Cracks all over it and when I attach cooling unit to the oven I feel like oven is pulling itself out of there like coming apart whole mighty.. feels crazy. And the fins that I could like separate them in little puzzle pieces o_O

Your updated MV has a 2 min heating time? To what temp, blue? My MV has the updated core/firmware and although I don't have an a/c puck, the heatup time to green or red is closer to 8-10mins on the battery. And like you said, it isn't as much of a punch to the face as the Mighty in fewer hits. I much prefer the Mighty! In fact, after my testing last night, both the MV and the Grasshopper are on the chopping block! The Mighty prevails!

ps: what about that (fantasy?) new SB unit out in January?

When did you dream up that fantasy? :rofl:I remember reading a rumour about a member in the Crafty thread assuring us of his "inside info" that the Crafty was being released with removable batteries.

Same here! Like many vapes, I think the EVO is vastly overrated...and i'd much rather have a Mighty than an EVO. And especially a Mighty+Crafty than an EVO!

@biohacker did you get your hoppers back end sorted out?

I'm surprised it's on the chopping block as much as you were praising it!
Another victim to try the Mighty. My only other vape is a DaVinci when they came out. It still works but ready for a new one.
Yea, the jump from a DV to a mighty will be a great improvement.

The DV and the mighty share some key qualities (single degree variations in temp and free flowing draw) but that's where the buck stops...

It's almost like watching a guy walk into a movie you know is the shit and having to bite your tongue not to give up the plot.

Mighty...get it.

Who knows!? The dial appears to be working normally, however it feels to me that the top end of temp range isn't what it should be. Temp 5 feels more like 190-195c and not 210c. Sold it to a forum member this morning, and he's fully aware that it may be working normally, or potentially could have to go back to warranty the warrantied hopper! LOL

So, yes I praised it - it really is a game changer - IF IT WORKS, and IF IT LASTS more importantly. I just can't be bothered with the game of shipping back and forth cross border.

With the Mighty, and Crafty - no problem! I have MUCH more confidence in S&B, than I do HL. At this point in the game anyway. Maybe in a year or two, when Randy stocks the GH, will I bite again!

Mighty prevails ALL!

does anyone know or has tried putting in chunks of nugs into the mighty?

someone said the grider that comes with the might rips apart all the stuff that gets us high and to just pack a whole nug in.

will it break the mighty doing this? does weed have to be grinned?

I have put in chunks and then thrown the mesh pad on top before. It's totally possible but I feel as it produces less vapor as opposed to grinding it. It works though and will get you there. Experiment with it and let us know, you may just end up enjoying it more that way.

I have said this before. Remove the screen from the CU and use a fine screen on top of load. I use the same screen in the bottom of bowl. I cut the screen and then stretch it out so it holds nice on top of the load. Much bigger hits and they taste better too. It is a pain to keep picking out the screen but trust me it works much better!

I used to use this method but eventually the screens fall apart. I haven't felt a difference in taste using the pad. Although, I do clean in with alcohol and then wash it in warm water.

@Vapetrees was spot on...to add to it, I often used buds and while it did produce less vapor initially...into the middle of the session, it starts to pick up.

If your not into the grinder, just lightly break up for even better results than whole nugs...the grinder provides the biggest hits though

And I usually don't use the mesh pad ever anymore.

Heya all, :) I'll be coming up on 10 months soon, still no problems. I've actually started lessening up how close to the heart I held it; taking it out and about without the case. The inner jacket pocket protects it well enough.

Few things else;

- On the topic of whole nugs, I echo everyone. I never do this, did it the other day while I went out with some friends to dinner....no loading tool or grinder. It worked great, but I feel less great than when ground. I did bump up the temp to compensate, I mean overrall it was still a great vape.

- On cleaning the inside bowl/bottom screen, I did not clean the bottom screen, but I did clean the inner bowl. For me personally, the difference in quality is pretty negligible. I'm not usually riding at lower temps so maybe that's why I don't notice, but I did purposely do some at a bit lower (380) and didn't notice a hugedifference. It did chug like crazy and a little better, but we're talking really not that much improvement in vapor quality....though I did find some.

- Finally used it with water. Didn't have a proper seal, always am meaning to grabbing that WPA but never get around to it. Cut a piece of hose and put over mouthpiece, put other end in 14mm reducer. Worked really well, though I need to pinch hose (learned after the first few hits, need to try again later) I would honestly compare the hits most like the EVO in terms of quality and taste when used through water. Was great! Wouldn't do it regularly for me, but I can see how someone would use a Mighty as a "daily driver" with such versatility.

I have two Mighty's. One that i've used a screen on top of my loads, and one that I use the dome screen CU mod. The Mighty used with screen on top has scratches all up and down the walls of the bowl, while dome screen CU mighty is scratch free. Just food for thought for those wanting to keep their Mighty's integrity intact. The edges of the screens can and will scratch! I also wouldn't use a fine screen anywhere but the bottom of the bowl, because using one in the CU affected airflow IMO.

Yes! That's me! Last night I decided instead of using the SonG, I went for a WPA for another vape, and attached a tiny piece of silicone tubing between it and the mouthpiece. There literally was maybe 1mm of silicone in the path, if that - but the seal was SO much better and OMFG yes it was like an EVO experience, but BETTER! Love using big can WT's with the Mighty to see it milk up so dense!

Feeling like it's been a while for a video! I must share this milk experience!

Have not had a screen fall apart yet. The pad works fine but much of the oil gets stuck in the pad instead of making it to your lungs.

The screen does scratch the bowl too but it does not affect the performance
