Firewood Vaporizer

@btka just to give you an idea of the vapor production this little unit puts out, IME and of my line up, only the MV produces a bigger tastier hit.

how good is the vapor production compared to the e-nano... any other similarities to the e-nano?

The Firewood for me produces more vapor, and slightly better flavor IMO, especially throuout the bowl.
Nano loses flavor quicker, but also extracts quicker?
I think the quicker extraction degrades flavor tho?
Stirring is not neccesary with FW3, unless going for @paytonpenn type extraction.
To reach this type of extraction, I simply dump goodies into palm, and suck em back up and go again on 4. Glad I'm not alone paytonpenn!
Of course the heat up time can't be compared, unless you leave nano on 24/7.
Nano has a higher temp range, so might handle concentrates better?
Last but not least, I haven't had my Nano, or any of my vapes except MV on, since receiving the Firewood.

My advice to new FW3 owners is, if you don't have vapor production that blows your mind every time you use it, you need more practice!

This is my first near instant convection portable, of 4 on preorder, and has changed the way I medicate. With that said i might be on a bit of a honeymoon, but its been almost 3 months so...
The way this industry, and battery technology is moving, plug ins may become extinct IMO. Fuck combustion, and fuck the cords!

Hope this helps

more vapor then nano, better taste ... I am since ever after a portable vape which at least performs as good as the nano (clouds, taste, efficency -> meaning using less herb and so on...) and I own or owned quite a bit of portables (crafty, lotus, vapman, esv, cera, pax.... )

hope I will recive mine tomorrow usps tracking status quote says :"held in customs" is this normal... maybe someone from europe or so can confirm me.... because I never got that qoute before... I am a littlte bit confused...

I hope it clears through as (at least on my 2.1) there is no marking on the device, packaging and user manual. All electronic devices imported in Europe need to conform to many regulations, including CE, RoHS, WEEE, REACH, etc. If you are unlucky they can block the import completely, returning it to sender or destructing it. In all cases "held in customs" means you will have to pay some import tax and VAT I'm afraid.

I see the firewood store is out of stock. How often are they running out and restocking? Im surprised I don't see any for resale on Ebay or anywhere else either

I'm surprised also, there was a sort of learning curve which has disheartened me at times and a few others. But I feel people invest and already fall in love with the aesthetic before actual use. :luv:

Also with such a low supply to keep up with high demand this makes us all in a comfortable position for the people who truly use this as their daily driver or whomever get the most out of it. :)

The battery pack does power the unit without batteries the wall adapter does not.

The battery pack also fixed my 4 buzz issues when they occur.
Is it ok to use the battery pack even with the firewoods original batteries still inside the unit also?

Do you find yourself using the lower or higher temps on the fw if you don't mind me asking.

I dont really think the FW has more vapor than a nano, I keep my nano on 7 while im using it and at 3 when its resting, it rarely gets turned off. The clouds are giant off my nano and it has possibly the best efficiency besides an UD which is the same concept.

the FW is a great portable but in my humble opinion cannot compete with the e nano

I've turned mine up 4 clicks.
For uplifting affects during daytime hours, I start with a couple hits on temp 1, then a couple on 2 and that is a session.
I repeat this every 3-4 hours, saving the capsules for after work.
After work the higher temps are what my body calls for.
I pop the daytime capsules back in starting on temp 3, and finish em off on 4.

This was never an option for me before with conduction type portables, because I'm a bit of a flavor snob.
I suppose it's possible in the MV, if you have more self control than I, but the flavor makes it impossible to stop, kinda like the Lays potato chip commercials.

IMO you need more practice then my friend. After all practice does make perfect!
I have always been gifted with huge lungs.
My nano seems to produce x amount of vapor, then stops producing until I stop and stir, for me this is at 3/4 of my hit/lung capacity.
After stirring I'll get 1/2-3/4 of a hit, then bowl is done.
It also chars my product a bit on the first hit which effects flavor on second hit.
6.5 is my sweet spot.
Of course ymmv.
With the firewood on 3 or 4 IME the vapor keeps producing until my lungs are topped off, well before I'm out of breath.

Edit: @j-bug looks like we have similar techniques.

It sure did for me... I've had no desire to bring out the Nano since getting a Firewood; depends on how you like to vape, I guess.

For me it's easier to thoroughly extract small amounts with the FW. Of course I usually end up packing larger amounts and it does great there too :ko:

I use it dry, on levels 1 and 2; rarely on 3. I haven't adjusted the temperature at all and get more than enough vapor, taking my abv to a nice even med-dark brown with no need to stir.

I was thinking about a new toy. Can't decide on this Firewood 3 or waiting for a Zion!
I am loving my Haze but would like a Convection portable in the lineup too! Firefly and Elevape just seem old now so that leaves these wooden beauties.
and I think I may pick up a EVO this month. Damn You VAS!!

I know the Zion is a lot more money, less portable, and not available anyway. Do you think this can compare with the internal batteries only? I like big clouds!

I think the Firewood is the clear winner in extraction.
..and back extraction; I prefer an extraction further than the picture before; something like the extraction in this video (abv shot at 1:18).

I also prefer being able to finish the load to that entirety in 1-3 hits; the closer the Hopper comes is 6 hits and its still not really that finished. Which kind of sucks considering that I am trying for that result from less than .1g of herb.

I've decided to get a firewood 3! If you don't mind me asking, what adapters are you using for the firewood to use it with the d020-d? And how large is the bowl? I can't seem to find a number in grams.

I now just use a 18 to 14mm reducer instead of extending the mouthpiece with thicker silicone at the end.

Bowl is about .2g.

Thanks man!
Sorry folks, the available units sold out in 3-4 hours today :rip:

It's funny, I had a walcut in my cart and when I hit for shipping info it said it was sold out! I went with a maple today but I'm glad I ordered one!
