Packaging and tools seems very similar to the Flowermate products.....the guy take very short draws for a convection unit....is it really convection?
It looks like the video was edited towards the end, kinda disappointing, to me that's the most important part of a new vape review.
Can't tell how long the draws were, or if it was the second, third or last pull.

Edit: I guess we won't know until @smokey_da_vape get his and writes a review.

Not really. I get VAS as well, but do you not like the vapes? It's not the acquisition that had intrigued me, it was the thought of parting with so many vapes that seem to be really good vapes and then to compare some of those to the only two you still own...it just seemed odd and intriguing at the least. By no means am I trying to judge here, just trying to observe and understand.

I'm exactly the same, which is why I don't post a signature lol I've owned soooooo many vapes, including most of the big boys, however I like having my top 2 or 3 vapes, and that's it. If a love affair with a vape lasts 3-6 months, it really means something for me.

Kinda sucks they didn't add replaceable batteries, but cheaper to send in for new ones then S&B. Wondering how the cooling unit is on it. Does look like some stiff competition for the mighty and crafty especially at that price point

That's the only thing that could have made this the perfect vape! Really hope there are 2 batteries in there like the Mighty, and not 1 like the Crafty!

It looks convection to me, and the guy said it takes a bit to get going and the first hit is light, which sounds about right.

True, but the hits that were shown looked decent and what i'd expect.

SO lucky to have Smokey take one for the team! You are the man bro!

Definitely looks to have a lot of conduction imo, the way it works and its oven style, the vapor he got, how he packed it... I bet it constantly cooks a whole load without you hitting it:2c:

We'll see, the Crafty/Mighty do the same even though they are powerful hybrids. If its powerful I'm sure this will do well, but that style and seemingly the tech are probably not for me...

Looking forward to your thoughts though @smokey_da_vape! (& Evo comparison! ;))

i think glass and wood is the only combined materials that have efficient heat dispersion, for preventing prolonging of cooking.. Anything else and the chamber will still be relatively warm from the previous temperature.

It also comes down to chamber vs oven, if the walls of the ceramic tube are getting hot to heat the herb, it is an oven and conduction is taking place to vaporize. It may have a strong heating element beneath it as well, like the Mighty, for some convection too. That remains to be seen

yea, not too much info about whether the oven chamber heats up as well or not. hopefully in a few days we'll see how these badboys play. it'd be interesting to see wether this will take over the mighty/crafty. in my opinion they have quite a high markup on their hardware

That is a big oven , says he put half a gram in and has almost enough room for another , so a full gram. Interesting , cant wait to see how this stacks up against a mighty.

From that video, it definitely appears to have some kind of conduction heating to it. Maybe it's a hybrid who knows, however one thing is for certain... that bowl is huge!!!

I'm actually MUCH more impressed by the video than I thought I would be based on the comments. This seems to at the least do what the Mighty and the Crafty do, and possibly much more. I understand the concern about the ceramic walls, but the heat up seemed fast enough to not mark it as a Pax type cooker. To be honest, though, this just made me dream about a portable herbalizer. The Halogen bulb is not that fragile, and the heatup time on it means that as a heating element it could do some real work with an oven like this...

Hey guys,
Eric here from Boundless Vape Technology. Feel free to ask any questions or concerns you might have and I will do my best to answer. A little information on our CFX:

Our CFX is a convection based portable with a fully isolated air path. This allows for a draw that is full flavored while keeping the comfort of the user in mind. Our products all have a rugged, ergonomically designed shell that is portable and able to take a beating.
The dimensions of the CFX are 127mm(5.0")H x 63.5mm(2.5")W x 12.7mm(.5")D Our CFX has a full range temperature control of 100F-430F, fully isolated air path, vibration feedback to alert the user when it is heated, dual charging options, and has a capacity of 2500mAh with an output voltage of 7.4V. Heats up in about 10 seconds.

The CFX has two internal lithium batteries and are not replaceable. We do have a one-year warranty on the product and on the battery if you go directly through us and will offer a $25 internal maintenance/replacement fee after the year.

The dimensions of the ceramic chamber are 25mm(about 1.0") deep by 12mm(about .5") wide.

Currently the CFX comes with a oil/concentrate adapter with 100% cotton to allow vaping of oil/concentrates, 1 UL/CE approved AC/DC wall charger, micro USB charging cable, brush, packing tool, and user manual. The amount of sessions can range from 15-20 depending on what temperature the CFX is set to. It is not recommended to use the vape while it's charging until it is at least half-way charged. The weight of the CFX is 207.5 grams(.5lbs) and is currently only available in black.
As you can see there are a couple videos highlighting our key features. Thanks to the users for posting them!

Thanks for the interest guys and special thanks for u/smokey_da_vape for purchasing one!

I'm looking for a portable vape and love the design of your screen. Do the ceramic walls get very hot when vaping? Or does the weed mostly get cooked when you inhale

How do you know it's going to blow the Mighty/Crafty out of the park if you haven't used it yet? I understand being excited for a new device, however you cannot make such an assumption without trying it first.

Looking at the lcd screen alone I can presume that this had more effort put in it. The mighty lcd screen is so fragile. One push of a finger and that thing can just break completely. But you're totally right I cannot make an assumption as to wether or not this unit will be better than the mighty. But to me personally both companies seem like theyre using similar material and similar blue print mechanics. But unlike boundless vapes there is no $200 markup on plastic and gives a much more reasonable price that is consumer friendly and reflective of the materials/blueprints used. But that's just my 2cents

Does this unit have a cooling unit like the S&B? No fins, so I'll assume it does not.

Looks like a great, inexpensive unit.

Hey YungLeaner,
The ceramic bowl does retain heat but not enough to ruin the bowl. The herb will not be ruined after one session of sitting and does mostly get cooked when you inhale. At 380F, after one minute of sitting there does appear to be a heating of the herb and after about a full session(300 seconds) there appears to be a bit of a cook on the bottom layer. We let a packed bowl sit at 380F for one session and was still able to produce a full session of vape.

Does the bowl retain heat just from the thermal properties of the chamber ? or does the chamber get hot even when there's no draws/inhales?

Hey radiant34,
The chamber retains heat from the thermal properties of the chamber but the isolated air path aids to the cooling of the chamber and vape. It will get hot sitting there around at around 150 seconds into the session but not enough to ruin what is in the chamber.
