Ugh, I couldn't stand that show...
That main chick was annoying as fuck Imo, and she was trying so damn hard to put on that bogan accent that she looked like some horror combo of "constipated" and "mid aneurism".

I've never really been a fan of the pizza crew though, so it probably just wasn't for me..."

I hadn't seen any Pizza stuff before I watched Housos - I've seen some since and haven't found it nearly as funny, probably because the Housos characters made such a strong impression on me! Get down to Sunnyvale - but if ya come after seven you'd better look out for Kevin! He'll prolly thong yer. Jeez I want to re-watch that show

Another Aussie series I loved was Rake - not the US remake.
And a great NZ show from a few years back - The Almighty Johnsons. :peace:

Recommendations for shows(netflix & cable/premium in no particular order.
1. Peaky blinders
2. Narcos
3. Wet hot American summer
4. Penny dreadful
5. Silicone valley
6. Homeland
7. Mr. Robot
8. True detective season 1:lol:

To name a few that are not super popular but the best shows I've seen lately. Not going to recommend the same shows everyone else is hehe we all know they are good.
I tend to only like certain shows, I am super picky when it comes to dialogue, plot and characters.

Also my favorites off that list were:
Peaky blinders( Netflix ) mobster series
Silicone valley (premium cable) comedy
Mr. robot (basic cable) sci ti thriller
These all can be binge watched too quickly and before you know it you'll be waiting for the new season..:myday:

Looking forward to the new season of Homeland and Game of Thrones. Waiting for a new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. I still miss Dexter. I have been wanting to watch Stephen Colbert 's new late night show On Demand.

Has anyone watched The Player? Maybe it hasn't started yet. I really like Wesley Snipes. He's back in action, prison is behind him. I see its on tonight.

Didn't like the movie of "Wet Hot American Summer' and the series is even worse imo.

Michael Showalter=44 yrs
Michael Ian Black=43 yrs
Janeane Garofalo=51 yrs
Molly Shannon=51 yrs
Paul Rudd=45 yrs

I know people play characters of diff ages, but come on, 40-50 year olds playing 20-somethings?

I don't like the new host of the John Stuart Show. He's a funny enough guy. Folks want the Fox News complaining and complaining about the Republicans. It doesn't look like it's going to be like that. Really miss John Stuart. Especially with all the election stuff. He would be so funny talking about Trump.

Yeah I kinda wish John Oliver took over but that wasn't possible. I like Oliver's suggested hologram host haha..

On this week's episode of Minority Report, one of the pre-cogs is openly offered a stick of marijuana chewing-gum. Dude said, "Not right now"...
It's not a great show but I'm a sucker for anything set in the future. Beware, "Hawkeye" is coming :goon:

So far I've seen colbert interview bill clinton, joe biden, michelle obama, bernie sanders, donald trump, elizabeth warren, john kerry, elon musk, stephen breyer, tim cook, and ted cruz (whom he awesomely disrespected). And oh yeah... willie nelson on his new late show, not bad for the first 2.5 weeks!

I've noticed lately on the premium channels such as HBO and Showtime networks are showing frontal nudity with men. I've seen it on Stars too with the show Outlander. I was just watching The Leftovers and I saw it again. This is fairly new over the last few years. We've been seeing women completely naked for years but not men. Yes, for equal rights.:science:

I'm wondering if it's because gay men have been requesting it? I don't think it's something that interests woman that much - women aren't the customers that bought Play Girl Magazine.

I've been watching the Leftovers on HBO since it first started. The last weeks episode was really bazaar, and that says a lot. Did anyone see that episode? Curious if there's anyone else with a wondering mind? The main character supposedly died, I won't say anything else. Those that haven't seen it, I don't want to ruin it for you.

I do like it but I could lose interest.

Anyone else watching The Expanse on ScyFi? It's pretty good. I know it's a bit too early to tell but it could give Galactica a run for it's money.

Did not get a chance to watch it, but I spoke to my dad and he only had good things to say about it. Looks like it has some potential though!

I'm surprised this thread was not being bumped for "Making a Murderer" have any of you seen it? Its not been bad so far, they for sure screwed that guy on the first pass through IMO, but I have not watched enough to make a deduction about the murder. Only about halfway through Episode 2, they are pretty long and kind of slow....I'm watching them before bed after dabbing heavy so probably not the best atmosphere. I also am always questioning things in documentaries like that, just taking it all with a grain of salt. Not going to lie, I was wondering what all the hype was about, because at one point in Episode 1, they are talking to a guy who was involved in Stephen Avery's rape trial, and one of the "points" of the defense was,

"The victim said that the perpetrator was wearing white underwear....this couldn't of been Stephen, because Stephen Avery does not own underwear"

That struck me as quite funny/absurd. But hey, he was actually cleared of that crime so maybe it had some weight! Regardless, it hasn't been bad and if you like crime shows or crime docs, I reckon you'd enjoy it!

Last night I watched on ABC Bernie Madoff mini series. It will be on tonight too. I was interested because I didn't understand what exactly happened with him and the investment company he owned and ran.

Richard Dryfus does a great job playing Madoff. Blythe Danner plays his wife.

Started the BBC's Sherlock the other day- gotta say, I highly recommend it- and I don't often watch critically acclaimed dramas!
On another note- Workaholics is 3 or 4 episodes into season 6 for anyone interested.

Man I still gotta catch up on the latest season of Game of Thrones..
