Calm Consistency
It saddens me to say this, and I didn't think this day would come so soon, but I have found Nancy a new home. I know the new owner personally and he will take good care of her. She wasn't getting much use here with my new toy, so I decided to let her go, to adventure further into the vape world. The Nano thread is by far the nicest thread I've come across on this forum, and I'm sad I can't share a mutual vape with all of you guys!
I'll still be here....luuuuuuuuurrrrrking ;)

Peace!

There are no other chemicals if you use pure alcohol. The only impurity should be small amounts of water. Ethanol is drinking alcohol and hence the safest, methanol is toxic and isopropyl is suspect. All of them can be used since they evaporate completely if you wait or give them a little heat but it makes sense to avoid methanol and I personally wouldn't use isopropyl even though a lot of people who make wax use it.

I suggested the cotton ball since you already use alcohol to clean your stems. It'll be better/easier at recovering the oil from the stem than scraping it off with a straw, but you have to wait for the alcohol to evaporate, so it's not quick . You can use organic cotton if you want to be a purist but I doubt non-organic cotton is bad unless you eat the stuff on a regular basis.
Obtaining the pure ethanol will be the biggest problem.

Making wax for dabbing is dangerous and best done outdide, or in a properly ventilated lab and making it is probably still illegal in most places. Not worth the hassle for me, I get more than enough medication from herbs and the herbs have more interesting and more varied flavours. Some aromatics are always lost when you process cannabis in some way.

Where can I get some pure Ethanol? Is there any trusted brands you can recommend me to? I will definitely give this method a try and see if there's any difference from what I have been doing. When doing the cotton method, do I need to take out the cotton ball and re-position it to get a even vaping?

I wouldn't dare try making dabs at home, would be cool if I could buy it. If I had a option I rather do ice hash than dabs since I think its a cleaner method compare to using lighter fluid.

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
I fell today and opened my head to require stables to hold it together.

For ethanol, you can easily use Everclear 190. Not completely pure, but pretty damn close and a most excellent solvent. Some states sell it, others don't.

If you really want to try a dab and make it safely, you can try the Rosin method. There is a thread in the concentrates section here.

I'm gonna try cleaning my gong with the cotton trick. That sounds cool, thanks.

Depending on where you live.....
Personally I use polish spiritsus.
I get it an jons market in los angeles. it costs about $20 for 1000ml $18 for 750ml.
When fresh it comes in at 96% pure alcohol.
So for example I wash (I have a crafty but am nano curious) the crafty cooling unit in the stuff. with a tooth brush all the "oil" dissolves into the spirit. So I do this work in a small glass bowl. when I am done cleaning the cooling unit I simply set the bowl aside in an area with moving air and wait a few days.
the result is PURE very powerful very dabble mix this "GOO" with some kief from the grinder and I end up with HASH.

For me it is the high proof (192) spirit alcohol that makes the difference in purity.
go for the good stuff.

here is an example of the stuff I use. poke around and you will find lots.

Looks like posting on threads for no reason other than to tell everyone you sold the vaporizer they all use & enjoy is becoming a thing now. Damn, you know sometimes it's ok just move on quietly :)
I still need to order myself some of those new longer gongs, I'm so slack.

They always come back.

We all really enjoy the Enano around here. It feels a little insulting when someone comes on the thread basically kissing off our fav desk top. I would feel that too on the Solo thread. I agree, just quietly ride into the sunset.

I feel protective about my fav vaporizers. I know it's silly - I can't help it. I think when we like something, we want others to like it too. I have several vaporizers but just a few that are my fav.

I am mulling over picking up a E-nano, and making my Solo a permanent backup device, which is sad in itself.

Whats the best wood type for the E-nano? and what is the difference between a normal kit and a premium wood kit?

The best wood type for the Nano is the wood that speaks to you personally visually. The only difference is the appearance and aesthetic of the wood chosen. All internal parts and performance are exactly the same. Closed grain woods like maple tend to be a little hotter to the touch. Open grained wood like walnut tend to feel a little cooler, cherry is in the middle.
A lot of people ask about which woods are less likely to split.
It really is a tossup between the maple, cherry and walnut woods, the split is always in the direction of the grain but can't be predicted where, when, or if. Some split when I make them, some in the first month, some take a year. I can't remember a maple burl ever splitting. I think it's because there is no clear direction in the grain of a burl.
The Nano split rate is about 1-2%.
I've stopped using Koa and Redwood except on very special orders because the split rate was excessive.
Hope this helps.

Absolutely buy what looks appealing to you, what do you want to look at sitting on your desk, table ect for years to come. High split rates on Koa and Redwood don't particularly surprise me as they are faster growing than the other hardwoods you used, more open grain, more chance for flaws defects and voids, shame though the Koa looked so nice after it was turned.

If you have been watching the thread for the last few days you will know I am one of the 1-2% (mines cherry) that had a nano split, and can personally vouch for how painless it was to get it fixed. Granted the entire process would take longer for most of you that don't live less than an hour from epic, because of shipping, but as stated in a previous post they removed and replaced the shell (wood part), and got it shipped back out the same day they received it from me.

The other great thing is if you don't see something that catches your eye or want something really special Andy gives you the option to send in your own wood for the nano to be made of. In the near future I hope to add a custom or two to my collection. I have some Brazilian Rosewood I've had forever and a couple other rare pieces that were ment for pool cue inlays and what not that I need to do something with so it doesn't just sit forever, you can't import it anymore and its just to good looking to sit the woodshop for much longer. Unfortunately my back prevents me from doing all but the most basic of projects anymore so new uses need to be found for all the pretty wood I've been hoarding, @Snappo has provided people with some gorgeous pieces of various burls if that's your thing, and if it is hit him up you won't be disappointed.

TL;DR: get what you think looks best, maybe even a custom send in your own wood version. It's hand made from wood it might crack or split (that's why the warranty is so awesome thanks Andy) but the process to get it fixed is fast easy and painless (no idea for the process for customs that may split) got mine back in just a few days.

My first nano split the second week I had it. I can also vouch for the excellent customer service. Nano is by far my favorite vape in my stable. It's on and ready for my wake and bake session. The only question is: which strain??

Do you guys ever vape E-Juice with your nano.

I thought about trying it with my concentrate pad but worried it will ruin the taste of it afterwards.

If I torch it after using it with juice, would it get rid of any taste ?

I would be more afraid of the torching changing the taste. What kind of pad are you using?

S&B pads.

I've torched them before. Gets rid of any claimy taste.

But with my OG vap cap the taste of the juice seems to be lingering.

I had a cherry nano split after a few days. I bought me a walnut nano before I sent the cherry one back. I didn't want to be nanoless. Turnaround time for me was about 10 days from the time I sent it in. IMO pretty good service. I live in WA state.

An Enano is a good investment for your health and your wallet. I love an all glass vaporizing path, it gives such a good taste to your cannabis. Plus it's such a beautiful vaporizer.

I think it's worth it to buy a stand to match your unit and an extra cord plus extra stems. Don't forget a GonG.

I'm starting to lean more in favor of a Walnut, kinda like the darker wood look. How long does the Nano usually take to ship after the initial 2 day processing? I'm all the way on the East coast
