@420engineer Customs Duty & VAT may be payable it depends on the value and what category the item falls in as certain items are charged at different rates, some even exempt.
If face value (excluding any shipping/handling or insurance) is at £135 or below no customs duty is paid. If the duty payable comes out at £9 or under once calculated it is waived.
VAT will be payable usually at 20% but certain items, again are less. Unsure if vapes fall into this category, but a lot of electronics like game consoles etc are exempt.
VAT is not charged if the item has a face value (excluding shipping/handling or insurance) of £15 or under.
I use this site for any pricing calculations. Just type "electronic vaporiser" in the "product description" field and select it from the dropdown options

@Vaperist This is an illegal practice and not a good route to take for a legitimate business. Fines are rather large if you get caught. HL might do this for you but If I was them I certainly wouldn't, it could get nasty!
Also just to point out marking something as a "Gift" does not as many people seem to believe make it exempt. Only gifts of (I think, not 100% sure) £40 or less are not charged. Although I have had many items slip through without charge.....lets hope this is the case.

Maybe because it's NOT a gift? It's an actual retail purchase? What eBay "sellers" do is irrelevant.

Negative, when you send it in and fill out the customs declaration you simple check off the box that says "Warranty". When HL sends it back you should not have to pay anything due to it being a warranty repair. If you DO get charged, you can appeal the charge and get a refund for it.

Any countries authorities could cause GHL headaches, and their own authorities too.
Chinese vendors are the only ones that I've heard of who follow this practice regularly.
GHL aren't Chinese, you will be disappointed if you expect them to break the law for you.

No duty and VAT will be payable if the goods have been repaired free of charge and you can provide a copy of the guarantee/warranty agreement to your shipping provider for presentation to customs.
If you have to pay for the repair, duty and VAT will be charged on the repair costs only.
If the goods have been replaced free of charge under guarantee or warranty, no duty is payable. However, VAT is payable on the full value of the goods because all replacement items are treated as new goods for VAT purposes. (Don't necessarily agree with the last part though! If you haven't paid for the replacement item it has a zero value....surely....regardless of it being a new item)
@420engineer A bit more info. Just looked it up Electronic Vaporisers. Charged at the Duty rate of 1.7% and VAT @20%
No duty will be charged as the calculation will probably come out at less than the £7 threshold I mentioned a few posts back. Unless you spent a HUGE amount of money on Hoppers! So it will just be VAT @20%
Awhile back I seem to recall that some people in the EU were panicking it might be seized by Customs. They cannot!

I think the Sub is one of the only major vapes I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing, however the GH makes most vapes redundant for me.

What battery charger should I get for my 4 batteries? Nitecore i2 or d2 I think is best? It's better to use two i2/d2's than one i4/d4?

I'm getting the i2 for my 3 batteries. I like the option of being able to charge one battery at a time, which you can't do in the i4 without potentially damaging the battery.
From the i4 manual:
"When charging a single battery in the I4, the charging current can reach as high as 750mA, which exceeds the current many Ni-MH/Ni-Cd AAA and 10440 Li-ion batteries can withstand. For this reason, under no circumstances should a single AAA or 10440 battery be charged on its own, as potential overheating, damage or even explosion may occur."
Explosion is not something I want to risk when stoned haha - especially when it comes to these rare Hopper batteries!

take X-tar VC4! it got nice features and LCD display. showing voltage (V) and capacity (mAh) for each battery. to know when they are close to dying so you can order new one in time before they completely gone. and it got very nice and smooth spring that holds batteries. also it have a carrying case. well, not case exactly but a sack. X-tar is more expensive than Nitecore, but it is well worth it, IMO.
