I had some of the Beta team inform me that there was a mix-up with the refunds. I believe that the issue has been rectified and all refunds should be satisfied now. If there are still issues please use PayPal or rastabuddhatao.net as those are official means of communication and I am not monitoring this thread.
Now that heater issue is behind us and Zions are shipping I will be answering all emails and www form questions at least once a week as well as posting an update here on Sundays to update the contest and other important factoids.
It's a really nice feeling to exchange emails with the early customers and finally be cranking out Zions! Thanks for being patient... with suppliers and manufacturers coming on line it won't be long now. A fresh batch will be headed for the USPS over the next couple days.

I'm glad they are shipping now. My tracking number should be here any second (I hope). As I said in my email, I prefer to have a product shipped out with most of the problems ironed out instead of purchasing a final product and feeling like a guinea pig.

Random thought 1, season 3 -
A magnet placed somewhere in the stir stick hole would prevent the stir stick falling out when Zion is inverted.
R1, S3 ep2 - a fixed stir stick (a-la Lotus cap) could also have this effect.
R1S3EP2 directors cut - OK-OK, removing the stir stick before inverting would also serve this purpose

I stepped out of this thread a couple of weeks ago so i could come back and read all the early user reports in a hit or two.
A few days later and i'm finally caught up (chasing a moving train...) and let me say, this thread/vape continues to be a wild ride, and I haven't even got mine yet.
It may not even yet be.
How cool is it to know that on the other side of the world somebody may actually be building something for me. Or, more likely now just thinking about it since i am yet to be called to active duty.
But if not now, then some time soon, and i won't actually know (or will I? Deja vu, perhaps, or it's kin? I digress) but it's good. And should get better when potential becomes actual.

The stir stick is non magnetic stainless so it wouldn't work unless the material changes. In general most electronics don't care about magnets, its magnetically encoded data that takes issue.
See the karma approved stir stick hack a couple pages back for the best of both fixed and removable stick worlds.

While possible in Veg's unit, that can't be done in the production model. The betas had the door cover the whole back with a magnet on top and on bottom, while the production units have the top glued on to cover the electronics compartment, while the battery door is beneath it with two magents, but on the sides below

@Shit Snacks I was thinking a magnet on the piece that is now glued to cover the heater. Just to keep the lid from flying around when loose. The thought came to me as I was reloading on the move, with the cover sliding around on the console. I might just stick a couple of weenie acupuncture magnets in the ATV and jeep, just to give it a resting place where I don't have to chase it around...

I am kind of confused by how the FC giveaway works. The RBT FC Giveaway page says that the quantity of units sold to date is 13? How was that number determined? If there is a batch build of 200 units and 150 are remaining, wouldn't that mean that approximately 50 units have been sold?

One has nothing to do with the other. The batch build refers to progression and probably shouldn't even be mentioned on the giveaway page.
Look at it this way to be more accurate. As it says on the giveaway page- Current Number of Units Sold as of 1/29 = 13
There should be around 137 units in RBT's batch of 200 that can still be sold under the giveaway.

He means what has been sold since the 1/29/2016. Only 13 units have sold since then. If you buy one, that number 13 will become a 14. If you buy two it will become a 15. If you buy one and I buy one, it will become a 15. However many units he sells from 1/29/2016 until 3/1/2016 will determine what freebie you will get if you paid $269 or more for your Zion.
Also, if you paid $269 or more for your Zion and purchased it prior to 1/29/2016 you are still eligible for the free giveaways.

I hate to nitpick, but that is not what that means. If you say 13 units have been sold as of 1/29, that means that on 1/29 he last updated the page and that the number sold was 13.
I think more people are confused about this than we realize because I have now gotten 2 different answers to this question. I pre-ordered my Zion on 1/12/16 for $269 after he reopened the store. I believe that my preorder would be included in the 13 sold. That's what @hackslasher interpretation would mean also.

Here is how it works.... once a week I will update this page with the current number of Zion's sold (see Below). This give-away is retro-active for anyone who paid $269+ for your Zion. So, the number of units sold below reflects the quantity of units sold to date and will increase as additional units are purchased.
