I contacted 7th floor about my LSV falling apart after just a few years and having to repair it about 10 times in the few years I had it and haven't heard back.

For those that had the LSV and used it daily for 4 years or so, have you also had the wire insulation break where it enters the body (I do have the one with the strain relief)? The wire probably cracked about 10 times at that location. In addition I had the metal plate that holds the heating element break free from the body but steel epoxy has fixed that. My heating element again became loose/wobbly so I thought my epoxy broke free after 2 years but when I checked the glue is still rock solid and the plate isn't moving, it's now the heating element that moves freely inside the metal plate where it enters the body and this seems unfixable. I checked all 3 screws at the base and they all seem tight.

This vape looked rock solid but is quite fragile despite its appearance. Have others had similar issues after a few years of daily use?

I was actually considering getting a Da Buddha as a temporary/backup vape but with the manufacturer not responding and the poor durability of their products I'm not sure I would get another 7th floor vape.

I'm already decided on going back to the Volcano as I know it will last for decades as I've had one for many many years before and I don't want to end up with another $250 vape that will break in a few years. If you consider durability, the Volcano costs a lot less than the LSV as it may be 3 times the price but will without a doubt last way more than 3 times longer.

The cord insulation breakages have been well documented in this thread some time ago. 7th Floor came out with a 'fix' that had a strain relief on the place where the cord enters the unit. Today's units should have that standard. It works, but isn't foolproof, as we've had members report cord failures with those as well. At the end of the day, those of us here who use this unit acknowledge that the cord needs to be pampered at the point of entry.

One of the beauties of this company's products is they are cheap to fix...considerably more than getting a new vape.
I'm not certain from your posts, but have you ever had it serviced by 7th Floor? I see you've tried to contact them, but has anything ever come of it in the years you've had your unit?

What is it that broke on your LSV the first time?
Dimmer switch blew a fuse. Faulty wiring or something. They were very apologetic and shipped me a new unit with an extra stem, bag, screens, and heater cover.
And a free shirt SSV Shirt too! and it's totally badass.

I really really recommend calling them. I've had failed responses too through E-Mails, never a single issue through a phone call.

I get insanely dense vapor and have never combusted...So not sure...I've never used a volcano though.

Only thing I can personally agree with you on is the real temp control...if the LSV had that....OOHHH BUDDY.

The contact web form is absolutely useless. Call or email the listed email address. Those both will work better for you

I just emailed them and asked about the contact form, if everything I wrote there was just deleted as I submitted it I'll be pissed as I had wrote quite a bit.

They replied to my email quickly and said they didn't get any of the messages I sent with the website's contact form. I can't imagine how many sales they lost due to people never hearing back when using the contact form that apparently just deletes everything as you click submit.

By the way as I was using my LSV I remembered another annoyance that's been mentioned before, it gets uncomfortably hot after being on for 45-60 minutes, forcing you to turn it off, wait for it to cool, start it back, wait for it to heat up.

Especially if you lay it down or hang it with the cord pointing up. I would hang mine from a nail in the wall with the cord pointing down and the heat would dissipate upward, leaving the LSV cooler. It's the only way to go if you are going to leave it on for extended periods.

I have a little V rack that's made out of some cardboard or something, so the middle of the unit is "floating". I can leave my unit on noon forever and only have it reach a warm temp. Past 1:00 and there's an issue.

Vapes should not case one years of trouble. Perhaps its time to buy the Volcano and end the pain. Please.

I've had my LSV now for over 5 years and have never had an issue. No problems whatsoever.

For me, I hate sucking vapor out of a plastic bag for numerous reasons so even if my LSV was a bit problematic, I would never exchange it for any vaporizer that uses a bag for a delivery system, but hey, that's just my opinion for what it's worth.

Chillin in bed on this beautiful Sunday with a coffee in one hand and the lsv in the other.
Life is good. ....enough

Edit:
This herb is too pretty so I'm refusing to grind it, but when I break it up I lose kief everywhere....so I've just been stuffing a full nug into @DDave 's mod and it's working flawlessly.
Plus...more terpenes and goodies, and it's so fast to load!

So I'm really close to grabbing one of these but have gotta ask if anyone really uses their WPA over a m2m?
I personally use my wpa more than my m2m as it provides me a bigger packing and longer session. I feel they both work the same , i get huge hits with both and have to stir more occasionally using the m2m. I also like the fact that i can rotate the lsv around while hitting it using the wpa for a more even extraction.

Never used the wpa before and never found a reason to. I use my m2m every day...well.. @DDave 's m2m, with his basket screens for 2-3 huge hit extractions. If I want a long a longer sesh or have more people around, I remove the basket screen and use the flat screen down the m2m. This changes the capacity from a .05-.1 to about a .3-.6. Wherever you wish. It's flexible ... which is why I like the m2m, you can swap different screens whenever, with ease...like, seconds. I ALWAYS keep a flat screen in, which catches particles and also makes for super easy transition from small to large loads...just the removing of a basket...which slides right now.

AFWIW...I rotate the lsv over the m2m, as @Justpassedu noted...except he does it with the wpa.
Either way, rotation very much assists in an even roast when using water.

M2M can also be found almost anywhere, and my headshop gives them away for free.

Just remember you need an 18mm side for the lsv, and a ___mm side for your piece.

Goodluck!

I normally rip a hit until the vapor stops thinning...
Decided to turn the temp up higher and MILK it, but didn't wait for the vapor to thin out before I cleared.
Amazing even roast, still a nice green, after a huge milk. Just don't draw it out too long or you'll either charr or possibly combust (like I've done). Good timing = massive hits with no overheated herb.

I've also been tossing entire nugs in for quite a while now...about a week? Which I've always hated, but the second hit after you crumble (the 1st is a taster), is just amazing. Huge, dried out, crumbled greens hit....mmmmmm. y66=1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111q
Sorry, my rat waked on my keyboard...figured I'd keep it.

Hmm, maybe slide right would work for you @Tweak

Yeah it's 60 dollars for international shipping on their site.

They offered me an additional 25% discount and it still doesn't make it better than ordering from a Canadian retailer. It's mainly the cost of shipping that killed this deal for me, not the exchange rate which is a first. Apparently USPS has raised shipping prices ?

So since it doesn't sound like you need the WPA I have no real reason to order directly from them so it works I suppose.

BCVapor had one on sale for 179 free shipping, and they still haven't gotten rid of their FALL10 coupon code so it'll be roughly 182 after taxes. Mind you this isn't even a blemmished one. I was going to end up getting that for roughly the same price!

Thanks a bunch everyone.

Check out the vapeUSA price.

I have never seen it cheaper anywhere else, no coupon needed. I don't know about Canadian shipping, but I would recommend to everyone interested in getting an LSV to at least check this one out.
