FlowerMate Vapormax V/V5.0/V5.0S/V5 Pro

It doesn't combust but I've never seen herb this dark before after a vape. My friends fm pro at 446 can't get that dark. My air at 410 can't, and my lsv and nano barely would be able to before combustion.

As I've said, I've seen quite dark ABV from that very vape, IMO it's possible under at least some conditions. In both V5s and Mini. I don't think it's accurate to compare other vapes with their settings.

As long as it's making vapor it's still getting darker.

If you can get darker ABV from the V5s on blue than the Pro at full whack with the same herb for the same time and draw then you indeed have some issue. But until you have eliminated herb, session length, different vape brands/types and so on from the test I don't think you're there yet? Until then I don't see a temperature issue as such. Especially if the other two (higher) heat ranges don't combust?

My friend was on 446 for about a 7 minute sesh and my friends fm5s was on blue for 5 minutes and was significantly darker.
I'm not going to use that comparison to breed an issue though, I agree with you OF.
We have used same herb tho, but we'll do more extensive testing. I'm glad you confirmed the fm5s can run hot tho compared to other vapes of the "same temp".
It's hard to measure draw because the pro has almost no airflow compared to the fm5s. If we let both herbs just cook in the chamber, the fm5s would most likely brown way before the pro on max with no one drawing.

Thank you for the responses

Edit:
@OF
Just measured the temperature of both units. The lowest temp on my friend's FM5s (blue) was 446 and the Highest temp on my friend's Pro (446) was 415.
Should Randy be contacted or is this usual for both units to run so far off their listed temps. The Pro isn't hugely off, but a temp listed at 385 and running at 446 is pretty huge.

Does anyone here have one of the dry herb tanks for your Flowermate? Own a Storm Vaporizer and was wondering what the dimensions are and if it would fit at all?

.375 in diameter, .490 tall. 3/8 X 1/2 inch nominally.

Chances are probably pretty good. The fit the various FlowerMates and the Hebo for instance.

@AJS : doesn't smell good. Can you return the device? Might be a lemon... :\

Alternatively if you are tech-savvy you could try to open it and check if something's wrong with the probe... But if it's not that there's not much you'll be able to do and it could void the warranty if you have any.

Alright, as I suspected I got the confirmation from Smiss: the FM5-Mini and the Mini-Pro have the exact same peak power output of 29.4W for the bowl (and 7.5W for the power bank output)

It's still too soon to do any review of the Mini-Pro but I like it, that's for sure.

Hey guys, I stumbled across this thread while researching for a small vap for myself. I was already interested in the Flowermate V5.0 Pro and after reading many posts here (starting nearly 2 years ago!) I started to hunt for it! I do mean hunt, because everywhere I looked seemed to be sold out? I almost gave in and ordered on from the UK but was afraid it would be in Celsius and I wouldnt be able to figure out how to change it back! Aside from that I couldnt find it in stock or for below 150. AND THEN! I did. If anyone is interested I have ordered one for 117.somechange, and have already talked to the customer service department to confirm legitimacy.

So here is a link if anyone is interested still!

Just a quick thought here guys. I've been using my FM pro more often than normal the past few weeks, and I just have to say, I previously left the mouthpiece screen in. I took it out, and even with a clean screen, airflow has been improved a fair bit. Overall I like my pro, if I had to do it again, I'd probably just get the v5, as it it turns out that the temps I use are pretty much just the three presets. I also don't really benefit from the increased temp range much. Lately I've found myself vaping between 175C-200C instead of 200C-220C. A far better range, I feel.

Anyway, yeah. I wouldn't try and turn anyone away from the pro, and I don't regret the extra $30 by any means, but if given the chance, the v5 would probably have been best. I still love my FM for sure though, it's always there when I need it, and does the job after a bowl or two.

I agree. I'm not sure the variable temperature is that useful to me, but the battery meter is?

I really like the format of the Mini more I think. Small/lighter and the ability to charge from USB ports are big advantages IMO. But no battery meter. When the Mini Pro comes out I'll probably get one for the meter function alone and retire my well used Mini to standby duty.

I'm actually kinda interested in picking up one of these toys.

Probably leaning towards the 5.0s as it seems to be the best bang for your buck option. I've just been looking for a battery operated portable because being up north here, these cold temperatures and gusty winds don't help your torch. Seeing as I probably wont be getting my Zion till mid summer maybe I'm looking at other options for the time being.

PIU looks to have the best deal, even for a Canadian buyer. Though I could be mistaken.

Any helpful tips that I've missed ?

Oh does the 5.0s come with the dry herb capsules?

Also what vape could you compare the flavour to?

Is the draw resistance similar to the air?

Thanks ! :)

It honestly depends how new the vendor's stock is. I bought a FM Pro from PIU back in november, and it didn't come with them. My friend ordered one from another site a few weeks ago and didn't get them. Maybe @PuffItUp could answer that, does your current FM stock come with the pods?

One of my sisters got the Mini from PIU back in Nov. No pods - it was just like the one I've had since the spring. Another sister just got a Mini before Christmas from PIU and her's came with the pods and different screens for the ceramic oven.

Yeah I'm wondering about the battery on it and also did you do the removal of the screen from the MP too?
I struggle with the screens in the MP. I just draw slowly; it's not like taking a hit on a joint. Then about once a week or so I take it out and replace with a clean one and give the device a thorough cleaning with isoalcohol.

Yeah I've been watching this thread a lil bit, I haven't combusted in a while :D the draw resistance from the solo reminds me of a way too tight rolled J. Wow those old combust days, glad that they are gone.
