This is fantastic news for us 7th Floor fanatics.
I want to share a bit of advice on obtaining the thickest vapor, or rather as thick or as dense as you the consumer desires.

I know I keep mentioning the white LED light and using it in the dark to view the incoming vapor to utilize as visual aid to gauge your draw speed.

After several nights of consecutive testing, shining the beam of light directly at the whip ( about 5-6" before it reaches the mouthpiece, basically right in front of your face) is the perfect spot to see the vapor barreling through the whip.

*Draw very slowly whilst shining the light right in front of the mouthpiece, you will see the vapor starting to accumulate, as it thickens, increase the speed of your draw, you will notice a thick consistent greasy stream barreling through... Keep your draw steady and increase it even more towards the end of the hit.*

This has really helped me to gauge my draw rate, when I shine the light, I get consecutive, reliable and consistent draws.

Allowing me to take in the "perfect draw" in which I still have lung capacity to suck down some fresh air and really enjoy every moment of my session.

I know a lot of folks use a light to gauge their exhaled vapor.

I prefer to use it to gauge incoming vapor, I urge you to give it a try, it does not disappoint.

Does anyone know the DBV whip measurements? Not so much the length, but the inner diameter for it to fit my wand and mouthpiece?

I just got it without the whip and not wanting to wait another 7-10 business days plus shipping for something I could purchase at Home Depot today

ID= 10mm
OD = 12mm
These measurements are with a heavily used whip.

Hope this helps.

Also want to add...
Just made some Bubble (well, it is now dried and cured to my specs)
Best two hit session I've ever had.

All thanks to @DDave !

I'm still trying to master the complete full extraction in a single draw... I'm getting close.

I've had an LSV for a few years and while it worked well I was really disappointed by its durability, I had to repair it probably close to 10 times. After having owned a Volcano twice and reselling it twice thinking I've found something better I'm quite decided on going back to the Volcano.

However I wasn't planning on spending that much and my LSV is now beyond repair and probably won't be functional for much longer so I'm considering getting a temporary/backup vape to use until I get the Volcano and Da Buddha seems like a good choice.

How does the Buddha compare to the LSV in terms of efficiency/vapor? Is it the exact same as the way they work is almost identical or is there a difference? Is it a good choice for a temporary/backup vape?

This may not be a big concern as I won't use it regularly, but will the Da Buddha start falling in pieces after just a few years like the LSV?

Thanks

I actually have 2 Buddha units. (I run one Stock, and one heavily modded)
One is several years old, and looks brand new. Absolutely a tank.

The newer one is about 8 months old and still has its new car smell...
Aside from whip stains, nothing wrong at all.. (She used to be left on 24/7 until I got my Solo)

I bet you can send your LSV to 7th Floor and with their excellence in Customer satisfaction, they will repair your LSV for a flat rate of 25$ + shipping, I've heard a few stories of peeps sending in units that were "beyond repair" and they got a brand new unit sent back.

I find that a lot of damage is self-inflicted, such as wrapping the power cord around the base repeatedly.

I do kinda feel like I could remove all glass, and throw this thing across the street and it would be fine.
But I prefer to be gentle with my investment, after all... I got into Vaping because I want a medical experience and measured controlled dosing, all while still enjoying the bliss of cannabis.

And of course saving cash via lowering my herb intake without lowering my Cannabinoid uptake.

But, to answer the question...
The DBV is very solid, heavy and well made.. You can even pay an extra fee for "lifetime warranty"

Hey guys

I'm considering buying a DBV even though I'm still considering some other options.

Out of the box (no added pieces) is the DBV still a good deal? When compared to say that EQ?
Can anyone point me in the direction of a reliable european store that sells them? Vaposhop no longer has them and I don't fancy paying customs from outside of the EU purchases.

Definitely man!!

I kinda feel like the EQ needs modifications to match the power of the DBV out of the box(or padded bag in this case)

I would recommend contacting @Herb-nerd (I think he is official rep for Europe)or @stickstones (he is our official rep for 7th floor US...and can definitely point you in the right direction ) for all 7th floor purchases in Europe, or Namaste Vapes.

Hi,
I can't compare the DBV to the EQ because I've never used an EQ. But I can tell that the DBV is a very efficient vaporizer, very reliable, and easy to use and clean.
The wand of the DBV is quite large, you can load a good amount of material (but you're not obliged) and have a great long session, which I love to do with my desktop vapes.
If you can't find a seller within EU, you still can look after a used one, that's what I did a year ago. Found for 60 euros, like new, I just bough a new hose and cleaned all the glass parts.

Those are things I definitely need my new vaporizer to provide.
If I fill the wand slightly below half do I still have good quality draws?
I assume long sessions would be achieved by vaping from low temp to higher temp right? What If I wanna get medicated real quickly? Just set it up on a higher temp initially right? It works well like this?

Could you tell me about its capability to vape through hash or bubble hash and others?

P.s.: I'd love to find a used deal but I'd to either see it in person or really really trust the seller (which sure ain't easy).

The DDave Mod is a cap on wand that allows greater airflow for a powerful 1 1/2 hitter.
DaBudda is possibly best invention or application of the 90's.
The seconds are cheaper yet with minor appearance flaw. I never did find mine but I looked at the clouds instead of unit.
They will repair any for $25 plus shipping so that tells you about reliability and sturdiness.

Absolutely, you can get fantastic draws from very small amounts, like 1/8th full or less... It is simply tempting to fill it up more than you need, fight the urge to fill. But, a larger load input will provide slightly denser vapor. (Subjective of course)

I assume long sessions would be achieved by vaping from low temp to higher temp right? What If I wanna get medicated real quickly? Just set it up on a higher temp initially right? It works well like this?

You can certainly "Temp step" (Starting at a low temperature and gradually increase) .. But, all you need to do, is find your "sweet spot " on the temperature knob. (Usually found between 12-2 o'clock position)..

Your draw speed will be important to control the heat being pulled through the load.

If you want full, big, large, get medicated quickly hits, yes, simply turn up the temperature .... The higher your temp, the faster you want to draw, if you draw too slow with the high temperatures, it can combust your load.

Could you tell me about its capability to vape through hash or bubble hash and others?
I certainly can.

Every bowl I've loaded has Bubble Hash in it. I personally like to use some herb to act as a substrate (Load a bed of herb, add bubble, add a little more herb to cover the hash.)

Insert wand, take a very short draw to melt your hash, then stir the load to distribute the hash evenly throughout the bowl
Then Vape away, stirring after every hit or every other hit.

Or for pure hash vaporization, use a Stainless Steel mesh, or a "Liquid Pad" or " degummed hemp fiber.

P.s.: I'd love to find a used deal but I'd to either see it in person or really really trust the seller (which sure ain't easy).
Most definitely agree here, click on the members name I posted previously.

A blemished unit will be cheaper, and still carry their warranty.

I've looked at their cosmetic seconds but they ship from the US which is not convenient for me.
I've also e-mailed them asking if there was any way I knew my units defect before I confirmed it's order. I'd even consider the jump up to the silver surfer If I was sure about the cosmetics seconds SSV would reach me without customs problems

So I ordered the DBV as my first desktop vape. i ordered a cosmetic seconds directly from 7th floors website and I paid for 2 day shipping (Theoretically, it should be coming in today). I got my receipt in my e-mail but I haven't gotten any shipping confirmation, tracking number, etc. at all. I even sent an e-mail asking about this but I haven't gotten a response. Can anyone confirm if this is normal?

Give them a phone call.

Number is located on bottom of their Home page.

They are most definitely reputable..
Email lag time is completely normal.

Hello guys, long time lurker here and I figured it was time to join this very knowledgeable community.

I have done a lot of research both on FC, and other places on the internet, and I have built up my collection of vaporizers to suit my needs. For my portable, I have a black Wispr. I also own a digital Volcano that I purchased off of eBay for basically half price, and it was in mint condition.

I had always thought the Volcano was the "creme de la creme" and that it could get no better than "the Cano". Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic machine that is built to last for years and years, but I wanted something different.

After much consideration, I decided to pick up Da Buddah, and I am sure glad that I did. I have always had a vape crush on this machine. It seemed very simply built, reliable, and actually looked pretty cool. I have the black version and I must say it looks like something out of a Buddhist garden, like some type of cool spa rock.

Anyways, I am still tweaking my temperature and I believe I have located the sweet spot. I have made a pencil mark so I know where to come back to the next time I vape.

Lately I have been falling into the trap of taking monster sized hits. The Buddha definitely hits harder than my Volcano or even my Wispr. I feel very satisfied for 2-3 hours, sometimes even as long as 4 hours. I consider the Volcano to be my breakfast vape. It's nice and light, very flavorful and I don't get too impaired too early on in the day.

I remember reading a couple pages back in this thread that people were using the Silver Surfer hose on Da Buddah because it was a narrower diameter, and you would get better production out of Da Buddha unit. It's definitely true, you get better "inhalation pressure" when you choke down the tubes diameter. I thought Da Buddah's hose was a little too wide for my liking when it first arrived. I fixed this issue, only I didn't have a SSV hose, I used a "Hot Box Vaporizer" hose.

I bought the hot box hose because it fits nicely on the top of my easy valve for infusing drinks and even doing some assisted tokes. The person I bought the whip off of accidentally sent me two whip setups in the mail. I re-purposed the one whip to work with my Da Buddha. Check it out:

The tubing on the right is the original Buddah hose that comes standard. I concocted a setup where I am using the smaller diameter tubing on the left with my Buddah. The glass wand, or herb chamber is still the same width as the original Buddah tubing on the right, but it gets choked down a size once you get to my "whip tubing". I have definitely noticed a very solid improvement in the performance of my Buddah. It's just easier to get a high quality, rich, flavorful, full bodied rip out of this wonderful unit now that I have made my adjustment. I encourage any other Buddah owner to look into it. Thanks again FC. I'll update you when I purchase my heady glycerin cooler, or "vapor tamer" to put the finishing touches on this lovely unit.

PS: I also have the aroma top, and it is wonderful. You can buy a really heady Yankee Candle and get 10x's the amount of use out of it than just burning it alone. The scent is definitely enhanced too, it's much more potent than using a candle in a traditional manner. I just widdle away a couple shavings into the aroma top and my room smells great in no time, for cheap too!

Sorry don't mean to backtrack this thread, but I really enjoyed this post. I wanted to make sure SSV whips worked with my DBV. This post just confirmed that and I also got an SSV WPA

My underdog's aromatherapy isn't really potent, so I was wondering how does everyone feel about their DBV's essential oil piece? Planning on picking one up too

I just tried my DBV with the SSV whip, and WOW! I'm extremely impressed with this desktop's powerhouse feel. After using my Underdog, I felt there shouldn't have been a reason to purchase another log vape. I'm glad this proved me wrong, because I feel it has the right amount of air : vape ratio to get nice smooth and cool hits attached to the hydrotube. I'm really digging the whip style of vaping. The DBV for sure is going to be around for a while.

Congrats! They are great, have mine for 5+ years and it is a beast. Have left it on at times for days on end and even had it fall off the desk a few times and it just keeps going. Enjoy!

I absolutely love the DBV!

temps on lower ends with a clean wand/whip the taste is pretty damn good considering it's a Whip style Unit.

Taste isn't necessarily where she shines however.

Powerful is her specialty IMO.

I can easily replicate a bong like hit with the Stock wand , but with @DDave 's MoDD Kit.....

Whoa!!

One hit, and I'm sweating, face feels like it's glowing...

DBV is awesome for the novice and professional alike.

Not a lot of Bells and whistles, but I've never needed a bell or whistle to get completely obliterated by my DBV.

Had some fun last night and indulged way more than usual..
Did a FW3 vs Solo vs DBV showdown.

It was a tie...

Because I don't really remember much.

You're certainly right on all points. Though I don't get much flavor, probably due to the 3ft airpath, but I feel very comfortable inhaling all the vapor for a much longer amount of time compared to the Underdog and Flowermate. Both vapes are great at what they do, but require different technique, which I'm completely fine with.

the DBV is definitely a great session vape for me, as I'm able to take more hits each time.
I also just got a vapor tamer, looking forward to getting a mouthpiece to properly use it. Would I be able to get a mouthpiece from a local headshop?

I also looked into the ddave mod, but it seems like a mod for the 1 hitter quitter type deals. Or am I wrong?

I cut my whip in half to reduce dead space, bigger clouds, and improved flavor.

Yes, you should be able to find something at your local HS to use as a mouthpiece. I use a WPA that is similar to Vapor Brothers... Turn it around and use the tapered end as my MP.

I do love the Stock wand for extended sessions.

DDave's moDD is more of a one hit extraction modification, but is also amazing at lower temps, for flavor chasing, as the load is placed closer to the Heating Element., air flow is slightly improved as well.

You may look into a cheap bubbler as opposed to the VT, I've seen that thing collect a ton of resin... Which infers that the Vapor is clinging to the cold walls of the VT instead of reaching your lungs.

I seriously can't emphasize enough how important a clean whip is regarding flavor, and seriously consider reducing the length of the whip.

Hope this helps.

How would I be able to clean the vapor tamer? I actually have both a VT and WPA. The Vapor Tamer works for stealth sessions, since it think the hydrotube/bong's bubbly noise couLd be distracting in some situations

Although it does take more herb, it uses it quite efficiently, making the DBV good for groups/extended sessions.
