I just 'crossed over'.
My pre-order, projected Sept. '15, then Nov. '15, then Jan. '16, is now officially late!
Excuse my reply to self,
My order was actually 'late' for less than a day! So I guess I didn't really cross over, just saw the white light in the distance.
Then the goal post moved again so I'm back on track with just regular waiting. Now it's March...

In other news, the Feb 1st Update IS officially late.

June 2015 preorder. Bumped from December 2015 delivery to March 2016. No surprise based on some of the above posts

15th Feb 2015 pre-order. My December date has now also been changed to March. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm in the UK so crossing fingers I don't get an iffy one (or two or three!).

I think if they make me wait that long with all of their promises of increased production I would seriously consider bailing for the FF2. Major props to all you guys waiting for over a year! Here's hoping they really are starting to crank them out.
This thought has gone through my mind, we shall see what the future holds.

I'm having such a hard time with this decision.
While I can understand the feelings, I don't see anything else that fits this niche. Great form factor, small, exchangeable batteries and is priced fair...... There's a reason why people are so frustrated when they fail (among other things lol), they seem to love them!

I'm about to cancel my SS case and add a plain Ti, they can have my money while I wait. This looks to fit right into how I'd like to vape. My Crafty does great, but the heatup time can work against me at times.

I'm already water curing a crop, I'm going to be almost instantaneous, small, with no smell (or taste unfortunately).

Soon my precious, soon......

Just a thought,

Healthy green all,

If they would just cancel the delivery projection or stop half-assing it, the anticipation delays could be smoothed over. We all know at this point that when you reach your due month, it will be bumped 1 or two months, and when you see it is only bumped one month, you are getting to within 2-3 months of getting yours, barring any obvious future delays sure to come.

They know exactly how long it's going to take, just lay it all out and rip the damn band-aid off, so we can see where the fuck were at.

This is the thing... the GH is supposed to be my Crafty replacement (already sold it since I had a friend looking), so I really hope my GH stays operational for a while, otherwise I will have to go back and settle for that 2-3min heatup time vs 5 seconds! I really don't wanna go back to that, but i'll let the GH decide.

How would you know that they know exactly how long it's going to take?

Yes, which furthermore illustrates that HL themselves are probably trying their best, and have no idea how to project.

As far as the transparency, I don't think anyone would argue they don't have a need to be more clear, and less prone to making wild statements, but...I'm still not convinced they're lying. People are -bad- at planning. There are entire fallacies based on the subject. It's entirely possible they really thought they'd be ready two years ago and just weren't realistic enough.

@biohacker Because they have had 7 months of actual production under their belts, they know their machines, they know what their workers are capable of and can fairly easily estimate any efficiency increases impact. There are a lot less unknown variables, and the lack of a real shipping estimate at this point is just a joke.

I believe they adjust to what their PR person tells them is best for their bottom line.

@Kalessin So you believe that my June 6th order, estimated for March... GHL is now confident they can go through Just January of last year's orders this month, and then magically they feel confident that everyone up to today's orders will go out in March? Where is that a logical assumption? There is not really any scenario I could envision where GHL honestly could believe that is the case.

The company's updates gets everybody excited then when nothing happens everyone feels that the company let them down. They would be better off just with one monthly update and just let folks know what they did the previous month, not what they are going to do. We don't know if that's really what's going to happen anyway.

The dates for the GH to arrive to the customer seems like a promise that they keep putting off. If they are going to give a date they need to be more realistic. At this point they know it takes 75 min to put a GH together. They have 3 or 4 people working on them. They can just do the math.

Lumping the majority of outstanding orders into a single month - they did this when they lumped everyone into December and now they've done it with March.

My point is they are very consistent, so no reason to believe anything has changed in terms of their ability to produce and ship, positively or negatively.

One thing I'll mention about all OUR guesstimations- when it came to backers, we had a pretty good idea of how many there were, since it was published on the IGG site. Wasn't completely accurate, since people could add to their orders after funding closed, but it was probably reasonably close.

With preorders, we really have no idea- could be 500, 1000, 10,000. So trying to match up when you placed your order with your shipping estimate, and then also comparing that to someone who ordered 6 months after you and has THEIR shipping estimate....you aren't really going to get much useful information from all that.

Moral of the story- treat everything they say as an estimate, doesn't make much difference if it is an educated guess or an outright lie, the result is going to be the same: it's probably going to take longer than they say.
