Discontinued Daisy vaporizer by Triihouse

Farkas

Do you know about the bird?
Aren't people worried about getting parts? Seems risky to buy daisy with no warranty even though I really want one.

I didn't even bat an eye regarding this, TBH. Yes, the glass parts could break if dropped, but otherwise the thing is solid wood with a minimum of other parts. No electronics or batteries to worry about, and even if you do break one of the glass pieces, I can't imagine it would hard or expensive to find some sort of replacement piece from another vendor. And as someone else already alluded to, was there mention of even one warranty return in this entire thread? It's a simple but apparently very effective design. Take the plunge, friend. Based on what I've read here, you (and I) won't be disappointed.

Here's a picture of my Triihouse Vaporizer family from my photospread in the Lily Thread.

I have tried SO MANY vaporizers in the last 2 years and have to say that Triihouse is among the best of the best IMHO and urge those who have never tried Butane torch vapes to give these a consideration if you're at all curious. I have not tried a Lotus, Genie or Vapman as others have, but with these two, I don't even feel the need to explore them, plus my VAS is outta control and must be stopped.

I got my Daisy a Cherry MP to go along with my Walnut/Maple two tone Lily.

must...control...V.A.S....(especially cool looking wood ones) :D

But seriously considering it. CAN SOMEONE STOP ME. :goon:

Looking for a comparison of the Daisy to other butane torch vapes like Lotus or Vapman (since I felt the need to own both of those already ).

More interested in the butane torch session experience than anything else since it's been well said that all three VAPES produce clouds and taste. For instance, difficulty using a torch, draw speed and timing, or if your tasting the butane. I'm getting the impression that these factors are what turn people away from butane vapes most .
I'm a long time :leaf: smoker- still combust often, new to vapor. I've alway been a pipe guy when smoking solo. The Lotus was an easy choice to help me with this transition though I've yet to master it (patience young Jedi Master).

But I'm thinking the Daisy might impress my combusting friends.

Is is essentially Daisy vs. Lotus comparison because the vapman is conduction based, and sort of a different animal imo.

The main difference is that the Daisy is quite literally instant vapor, it's exactly like mimicking the motions of combustion, where you put the lighter to the load as you inhale. The Lotus has a bit more of a pre-heat disconnect, so shatters that illusion.

If you ever used to rip a spoon pipe or bubbler as a combuster, this is the replacement for that, almost to a T.

Edit - I also feel compelled to say that as a pipe/bubbler/joint smoker, the Daisy was finally enough for me to completely kick combustion for about 3 months now. That hasn't happened since I was 16.

Don't wanna be a downer but ...
One big way both the lotus and Vapman differ from the Daisy is that they are being made by companies that are still in Business so if you're thinking of picking up a triihouse vape you had best pick one up right now while you still can.

Love my Daisy and Lily for sure but the Sad Fact is triihouse is gone and there won't be anymore vapes or parts coming from 'em so get them now if you can and protect those glass parts as though they're the last you'll have your hands on 'cause chances are that they are.

I have spares for my Lily but no spares for Daisy, I had started to use her without the wood MP lately but it's now back on, had to start shaving again but she's worth it

I think the glass was made in-house? I have a vague memory (or dream or just too baked) that they used standard size (easy to get) tubes for all the parts, if so I'm sure it can't be too hard to make replacements, I've never done anything with glass (other than break it) but if Daisy/Lily ever get hurt then I will be out in my shed and trying to learn quick fast

Thanks. For those undecided like me, your enthusiasm can be read both ways: get one while you still can ...or just don't because possibility of breakage. I'm a risk taker though.

I did a search and found a little regarding the question I'm about to ask, but nothing all that concrete. So here goes:

What do you all use to condition the Daisy's wood? I see tung oil, mineral oil, and beeswax have been mentioned. Any specific suggestions/recommendations?

Beeswax/walnut oil is what the triihouse butter is.

Absolutely, its super simple and maybe the best combustion converter due to its sheer power and simplicity. Worked on my buddy's roommate after an EQ was just light fun for them, and Elevape was too inconsistent and high maintenance for him. He bought his own from the UK recently when they moved out (my buddy has an original square one). It's all he uses and pretty much all my buddy uses now at home. They both just got Lilys to be complete, whilst I just got a Daisy to go with my own Lily. Can pretty much guarantee you won't be disappointed, get em while you still can!

My biggest complaint about the Daisy is it spoils me for other vapes. Most other vapes I try I come away feeling like their wispy impotent mist just can't compare to the dense powerful consistency of Triihouse vapes. The good part of that is it keeps my VAS at bay as I don't want to waste money on other devices unless they have some innovation I like or are reported to produce similarly powerful output like I've found already.

Hard to believe a little over a year ago, I almost overlooked the Daisy because it's so simple looking....I didn't trust it would deliver like electric powerhouse vapes, but I found out it actually surpasses most of them.

Yes! It's signature is uniquely face ripping. Most any great vape has a special strong profile (why we justify having multiple right? Right?!) but the Daisy really takes the cake with the full power of a flame heating the air as you pull it directly over the herbs, pure full bodied convection vapor that hits you hard right away.

However, Zion is very very similar in its signature. Of course it's battery powered and differently unique in its own, but its got that full bodied profile in its hits. A few of us have made the comparison over there :2c: I think you, or anyone else who loves the Daisy would really dig it. The creator actually has a Daisy now himself too, got a while ago beta team recommendations, he even spoke to Tommy before he vanished a few months later

I have been loosely following the Zion. But I prefer the form factor of the single batt model. The user reports are definitely encouraging...

Electric Daisy? Sounds awesome. I have a grasshopper on pre-order, thank God I don't actually "need" it with my Daisy/Lily on the ready. Zion family is definitely on the radar. VapCap is keeping me company too, but I use it more for a change of pace and before bed vape.

Yeah VapCap is interesting, totally different in use and effects, a nice little on hitter bat vape.

I've got a gn0me GonG coming soon too, should be cool to try. I'm actually more excited to just use it direct tube style like a water Daisy though honestly... But the multi-use is great

But yeah keep an eye on @RastaBuddhaTao man, should be a big year with Zion ramping up and the mini with its first beta now built

Aww, that's a stone cold bummer, dude. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can snag it tomorrow.

So I decided to mess around with it a few minutes ago. First couple of draw, nothing. Then I adjusted the torch flame a little and positioned a little different. BOOM! Got her whistling which resulted in a really nice, mellow, citrusy and woody tasting cloud. Very nice. I will continue my experiment(s) later this evening...
