VapeCode TN01 Portable E-Nail

After watching that video on the link provided I'm really keen on this little baby, I liked the look but not the end result of the yocan Thor this looks far far better overall, so portable dabbing devices are coming on pretty well by the looks of things I for one hate being bound to a wall socket hence my love of all things portable.

I have both. I wish I had never bought the Thor, especially after getting this. So far I'm really impressed with the VapeCode. Yea, I now have 3 portable enails (this, Thor and Torrid) and this by far is my favorite portable.

This thing looks like it can give some massive clouds. Glad to see more portable e-nail choices coming out.
It does. It doesn't take much to get a big cloud. I use my MFLB Orbiter for the glass piece with a drop down and works freaking awesome.

Can you hold the battery pack/bong and take a dab or is it best to leave your rig on the table and use one hand to dab and one to press the fire button?

Do you ever get a bad taste like if you hit a red hot ti nail?

I've only used it with the Orbiter on the table but it could be done with the battery pack in one hand and your rig in the other. The only thing I don't like about it so far is it only fits female pieces. I know I can buy a F2M piece and thinking about it (just lazy mainly). I get a pretty good taste with it. It's a way better taste than the White Rhino Torrid and Yocan Thor. It's a little harsh but tolerable. One major plus is I have used this quite a bit and the drop down is clean. Not one drop has oozed down the glass yet. By now I see some type of reclaim on the glass on my others after this much use. It has literally wasted nothing I put in it. So far this thing has stepped up better than my Galaxy, Smart Dabb but not the 710 Whip. Hard to beat the 710 Whip.

^^^ Do you use a carb-cap for it?

If so, which one?

This looks like an analog nail as it is either on or off.
Does it get too hot when dabbing?
900* in two seconds is pretty quick.

I just bought an Auber RDK-150 to use as a portable nail, but can still return it if the TN-01 is a better set-up.

The TN01 is cheaper, but I can use a my SiC dish with the Auber RDK-150.

No carb cap needed and I don't think it gets to hot to me. It may get 900 degrees but doesn't seem like it. It's a smooth quick hit with every bit of the dab being used (none wasted).

I have one coming too. Im glad to see all this progress in the portable enail game. The youcan products just weren't cutting it and were essentially re-designed coil pens. This seems to be on another level.

I hate leaving my enail on and could imagine me switching over full time. Time will tell...

Also, the manufacturer sells directly on dhgate on alibaba. I would recommend contacting them directly as you may be able to get a better deal.

Ok, just an update before my full review, you can get low temp hits using the pulse method (as for 7.4v kiss), nice!

....I start to like it....

Here my review of the Vapecode TN01 portable e-nail, it comes in a box with: The nail and a cord, a battery pack, a charger and 2 replacements atomizer (third is arleady on the nail).

First I need to charge the battery pack, it tooks to me +6hours to get the green led on the charger.

To use you need to connect the nail to the battery, place your nail on a a rig (10, 14 or 18mm) and to activate there is only one button, no heating setting.

The difference with a nail is you need to put your dab on the cold nail and you press the power button to vaporize (similar to a dab pen).

The load must to be small, avoid large dabs!

To get a better taste (and low temp) I use the pulse method, if you stay on for a while you get a very high temp dab with a nasty taste, pulse avoid to turn the heater red hot.

I like the ability to take it out quickly, take a dab and get back in a safe place without thinking about a cord and a plug, it is really efficient, absolutly no pooling, minimal splashes, large airflow.

But I think it's a large step behind a true e-nail, especially in term of taste and efficiency, you can't get this long and flavorfull deep inhalations a low temp e-nail offer to you.

Here a pic of my setup (TN01+D020):

@PPN how quickly does the outside of the nail's head cool down?

Could one put the nail in a jacket pocket or storage case w/o fear of melting anything?

Do you have a G9 H-Enail?
If so how would you compare the it the TN-01?

Thanks for the intel!

Yes, you could put it in your jacket without it melting anything. It gets cold enough that you could put a giant dab on and space it out over a few hits.

Performance wise, this blows the he-nail out of the water imho. My full review will come as I get more familer with the unit.

I never used my TN01 enough to get the nail's head too hot to touch (still cold after 2-3 dabs).

I don't get the He-nail from G9 only the D-nail!

Couldn't hold out any longer.
Just picked up a TN-01.
Coupon code: "BLAZIN-GEAR" to save 10%

Hopefully it will pair nicely with this travel recycler I bought today:

I'm hoping that the TN-01 paired with this little piece will be skiing/dabbing Nirvana.

Hi, TN01 owner, what is the heating element longlife with your units?

Mine is dead today after maybe 25-30 hits...just after a very nice session with some bubble hash, I cleaned the atty (without damage) and it never worked anymore....

Luckiliy there is 2 others replacement heating elements in the package....cause the manufacturer doesn't sell any replacement part!

I expect the next one will live a bit longer, I'll avoid bubbleH!

Yeah, that element is what kept me from buying the tn01... It was hard to resist when they were for sale for $140 over thanksgiving, but just couldn't justify something so proprietary and unknown. Between the battery life and the element, it just doesn't seem like a good return on TCO.

Any updates after continued usage from any of you tn01 early adopters?
