Discontinued Haze Dual V3

Hello, I am happy to use Haze V3 for some days !!

I am very pleased about the versatility and the taste of this beautiful device. I went out with friends and all people were excited. Its very easy in use and also excellent for sharing !!

My only concern is about the draw resistance so I wanted to ask if its the same in all Hazes or its something going wrong with my device only. If I inhale fast it has a quite strong draw resistance. If I inhale very slow the drawing resistance is softer but you have to keep inhaling for a long time for a full hit and you get a little uncomfortable like you run out of oxygen.
Since I have vapman only as an alternate to compare I can say haze has harder draw resistance, or is something to do with mine only?
Is there a tip to make draw resistance easier and softer? Does anyone try with wooden mouthpiece with holes in the middle to leave air exchange maybe? A whip make things easier?Does MFLB draw whip and wooden stems fits in the Haze V3 ?

Also something i noticed is that with weed in the 1st temperature setting with conduction screen I have a little irritating(hot) in my throat or lungs from the first draws(after the first 5 draws is softer) but with hashes in higher temps is not irritating. Is that normal? Or maybe is moist in my herb?

Is there any problem if I want to take draws when the temperature lights still flashing on/off? In the start for example I want to take light draws for the taste before the strong vapor begins.

Have a nice day !!

@gkaraman I find it best to let the V3 heat up to your set temp and wait an additional 15 seconds then draw. When you try to draw while it's heating up your just pulling the heat out of the oven so it will not only take longer to reach temp it will also decrease battery life if you do this each time or often.

With any conduction based vape I always wait at least 15 seconds or more before I start to draw. I find I get the best results this way.

The wooden mouth piece will look awesome but it will act the same as the glass or stainless steel stem. Same ID same draw.

I personally use the bottom chamber (silver dot) when using herb because it is further away giving just a bit more time to cool down a little bit (not a whole lot but a little). I use the top chamber for oil so I can clean it easier.

You didn't mention if your using the can, conduction, or convection screen. The convection screen is definitely smoother than the conduction. If you are using the can, try using the rubber lid instead of the metal screen with holes. IMO the vapor is a little cooler this way.

If your herb is moist it will irritate your throat a bit. Maybe try leaving it out to dry for 30-40 minutes. You also want to make sure you don't over pack it and restrict air flow (especially if your material is moist). You will come to find the HAZE is a very efficient vaporizer.

I have been very lucky. I have had nothing but great results with all of my HAZE vapes. I am OCD about keeping the units clean which I'm sure helps.

My only complaint I've ever had with all my HAZES is that it was designed by a left handed person!

Hope this helps. You have yourself a great night too my friend!

I have been trying my haze out for home use as a change of pace from my Underdog and enail. We loaded herb in conduction screens, wax and herb in cans, and straight shatter in oil cans. I tried my ratchett Song and it worked well for flower or even the mixed cans. But Then I had to turn my hot oils on their side to use it. I thought that was asking for trouble possibly gooing up the unit so I set this up with the old whip from my Vapor Tower. It is just a standard whip vape water tool attachment , silicone tubing, and the glass Haze 3.0 mouthpiece on the other end. I found it also would have would by sticking the tubing it one of my Underdog Gongs. The Id is the same size as the Od of the tubing. This is the way to go for home use! Super thick, tasty, clouds!

Sorry guys I was just trying to smoke banana peels again. I just saw all that honey on the inside of that mouthpiece. In my "haze", I thought I read somewhere I could soak them in coconut milk, and the oil in the c.milk would extract some reclaim. I let them soak for a day in a quarter cup c.milk, then topped it off to a cup with mango nectar. I don't think it works. It just gave me a bad case of gas so bad it scared the dog. He stared at me from a distance for the rest of the night.
Guess I shouldn't do things "hazed".;)

The Haze has a fairly neutral draw so I would guess your draw issue has to do with either placing the cans in the oven backwards or it has something to do with how you are packing the cans. Most people have found a full tight pack to work the best with the Haze. Losse packs seem to just come out airy to me. Make sure you are putting the cans in with the tab facing out, away from the draw chamber. Hopefully that helps you some.

Draw resistance seems to vary on how the chamber is loaded. Or possibly it's time for a cleaning.

@rshetts Excellent point! I forgot to mention make sure the cans sit in the oven with the tabs away from the unit. Thanks for catching my slack!:)

As per draw, it will vary from person to person depending on moisture, grind, screen/can, temp, etc...

That's a good point and a thing to remember, Like @rshetts said keep er clean!
Cleanliness is crucial on not just the HAZE but any vape.:nod:

Great work as usual @scottg402!
Don't stop being awesome! :rockon:
You go way out your way to make everyone happy and comfortable with the HAZE!
Great videos my friend! Keep up the great work! I know you will.:tup:

Hash in Haze V3 rulez !! Taste, high, like lasting for ever.. and without any irritating at all even in 4th temp!

Tonight stealth was our guide as my Hazes nickname!! I was in a live restaurant and I was not worried at all for others to find out what we are cooking inside chambers.. A lovely girl on next table had a e-cig pen and look me with admiration and query thinking "what a big e-cig? hehe.."

What breathing technique helps get better clouds and to easy the draw ? When I tried to take a half oxygen breath first and then let the flow of super slow inhaling from mouthpiece the results was better. So its better not try to inhale fast ?

@scottg402 I don't know maybe it is normal but sometimes as I pause session to open chambers and stir for a little time, when I turn on again the switch the light stays on without blinking from the beginning like it is ready heated again. If I push the button goes one heat level up and starts to blinking again. Is that ok?

I tried to clean the chamber's air pathways and saw that in the silver dot chamber the pathway is like 70% open when I have the switch full open but in the first chamber I think when I pull the switch opens better full like 95%, is that correct? Can I push it with some metal material to manually full open the pathway?

Also very nice videos Scott thank you!!

My understanding is that stirring is unnecessary. In my personal experience, I do not stir with the Haze and it evenly vapes my bowl. Unlike my UD, which I do need to stir because it heats unevenly. Not knocking my UD, it is just different, including different strengths and weaknesses.

Thank! Yes some of this seems normal. The lights stay solid and you have to toggle the temp button to reset and start the heating again. This is a minor software glitch. Your opening on your chambers seems a bit off. They should be opening up pretty much the same amount?

I received my Haze a few weeks ago and from day one it moved itself up to being my daily go to vaporizer.

First impression

The box looks pretty cool and definitely shows that Haze has put some effort into making it stand out. The unit is gorgeous, honestly I didn't expect it to look this nice. Usually when people make an "all-purpose" product it's not so all purpose and lacks greatly somewhere. The Haze felt really good in my hand and had a good weight to it. I liked how the stem tucked away down into the device to make it more discreet unlike my Arizer Air.

Performance

The Haze was a champ right off the bat. Although I have only tested it with dry herbs, even on the first temp setting it still packs a nice punch. It took roughly 60 seconds to warm up plus or minus some, but that varied on how much juice the battery had. Even at cold temperatures, below freezing, the device didn't struggle to maintain its temperature unlike other devices I have owned. Temperatures 1 - 4 are all pretty accurate and don't seems to fluctuate that much during a session, meaning that the temperature doesn’t spike. I also have a water attachment and this thing blew my mind through my bubbler, literally blew my mind lol. It milked that thing like no other!

Draw resistance wasn’t an issue either unless you just stuff the chamber too tight. Other then that the only vapes I have use that have a better draw would be the Arizer Air(sometimes) and the SSV that I previously owned. This was a big thing for me because just a few weeks ago my only portable device was a Pax 2 and the Haze wipes the floor with the Pax 2 in that category.

You can tell the difference in using the different screens too, which I didn’t expect at all. Using the convection screen the herbs are a nice brown color no matter the temp setting. The conduction screen seemed similar to the Pax 2 when it came to taste, but provides more of a punch (assuming because of the direct contact). I didn’t really like using the cans, but this is possibly due to me having the tab facing the wrong way, still not a show stopper the other screen are way more then enough for me anyways.

Like most vapes the first few draws give the best taste though the taste didn’t decline extremely and the vapor quality is has been comparable to my old SSV during some sessions.

Ease of use

The dual chambers came in handy for someone like me that vapes all day. I didn't feel like I had to constantly keep reloading. The selector lever seems a little weird at first but after a few times I got the hang of it. Although I did catch myself having to make sure I was warming up the correct chamber. The stem is like a hit and miss on how easy it is to pull out sometime, but this could be due to temperatures and resin because it doesn't happen after a fresh cleaning. The button to select the temp level is pretty straight forward 4 lights and 4 clicks each click turns the temp up to the next level after 4 it will return to 1. Cleaning is pretty easy too I haven’t had a situation where some iso and a q-tip won’t do the job, and I have put some hrs on this thing.

Battery life

The haze came with two 18650 2600mah batteries that are way more then enough to get you through the day or whatever else you throw at it. I also like fact that it has a use output on the battery charger so it doubles as a power bank.

Build quality

Build quality is pretty good, better then I thought prior to receiving it I might add. It Has a nice solid feel to it and is about the size of a flask. I like the soft touch feel on the battery side of the unit, but being right handed I usually held the device on the opposite side which does warm but not too hot. The rest of the device well the middle area "feels" like it is made up of some type of metal I'm not sure if that's true because the hinges on he inside look like plastic. The top and bottom are also made of the same material with a smooth finish.

Only issue I have had with the build is that my selector switch seems to hit the top of the stem sometimes, not a big deal though just something I noticed.

Overall

The Haze Dual v3 is in a league of its own when it comes to vaporizers. The dual chambers are UNDER rated. If you are looking for a vape for less then $300 that is back by a warranty and gives stellar performance every time the Haze is it. Their are cheaper vaporizers out there but I believe the Haze not only stands it's ground against the best, but adds room for more with its versatility.

At the end of the day when it comes to all my vaporizers, Haze V3, Arizer Air and the Pax 2, if I had to choice just one it would be the Haze. All of the others are good vapes but the Haze has everything that I need in one and does a great job of doing it.

Pros

* Dual chambers
* 2 2600mah removable batteries
* Charger that doubles as a power bank
* Glass and stainless stems
* Multiple uses (herb, oil, wax, e-liquid)

Cons

* Stem is tricky to pull out sometimes (referring to the glass stem)
* No battery indicator
* Selector switch funky sometimes
* Although it is stealthy the fact that it resembles a flask doesn't help is certain situations.

What I would like to see

* Bubbler stem
* Battery indicator
* Pusher accessory (similar to the new vape pax pushesr)

Yes @scottg402. Unfortunately from the beginning the switch lever had a little looseness, not too much but I think this looseness affect the switch not reaching the end from the one side and as a result cannot full open the second's chamber air pathway. Difficult to close the switch lever also from that side.

I empty all parts (battery,screens, cans) and try to inhale and exhale in a row to both the chambers and they have a significant draw resistance difference. The second also sound like a whiz.

So can I do something manually to fix this permanently ?

Wow, the green one looks awesome. the color is a bit lighter then I thought it would, but still it looks awesome. I am almost sorry I didn't get a purple one as well instead of black.

@scottg402 Really liking the effort you put into representing Haze. The service, the humbleness, and the way you are on top of everything really makes me wanna root for you. Getting a service point in Europe is a big plus in the conversations I have over here. Keep it up.

Thank you very much Drex. I have been working service in some capacity for my whole career so I guess it comes natural. But I am passionate about the product and helping people so that probably doesn't hurt either. I appreciate the kind words!

Edit:

In other news we have a contest going on to win a Free Haze Dual V3! Details and how to enter can be found here!

Second Edit: Even better is the link here for those folks who don't do the Facebook thing. Myself included.......

total n00b here in the world of vaping, hit an Ascent last fall after spending most of last year researching the vast choices of personal vapes.

long time cannabis enthusiast with 40 yrs of exp, so getting into the vape mode is a entirely different animal in regards to pretty much everything, lol

my Haze V3 arrived yesterday, let it fully charge and began 'testing'.

these tests will culminate at the weekend's end and I'll post my review (more then likely long winded) next week.

I've enjoyed making my way thru some of this thread as well as another 6 pages I'd found pertaining to the Haze.

glad to be here,

grow your own,
grow in peace...together we can overgrow

I liked the review vid man. I love how the vapor production seemed a bit of a surprise, This one can produce some serious cloud, You can also get super long sessions by using the convection screen on 1.

Hello.

It is ok to use pure alcohol until I find to buy some ISOpropyl ?

Hash, kief, etc works like a champion!! I can't believe I can get like 30 draws when starting from temp 1 and rise slowly.. Maybe is it better to stop for a while in the middle of the session to prevent auto shut off on long sessions?

I saw this guy in the review say to let vapor build and to get better performance let 30 seconds pause between draws, is that correct?
Because I red in this thread that we must take draws without long breaks to cool the chambers, prevent overheating and auto shut off.

I think 15-30 seconds is fine depending on your preference. You should not have problems with auto shut off unless you are not drawing for 2-3 minutes. It should be ok to keep it running that long without draws as well. The real problems come in when you are doing 5-10 minute cycles on high with no material in the chamber and no cool air being drawn in to help keep the temp down.

I start to appreciate the sweetness of convection screen!! You are able to complete tasks without the punch of the conduction screen. Αlso the convection screen is playfull. Sometimes don't want to sit properly and touch the walls without jumping hehe.

Every time I am in a hurry I say I will start at temp 2 or 3 but almost never do it. I end up starting at temp 1 even on hashes to enjoy all the tastes and levels..

Are you not drawing enough to keep your Haze awake? You gotta just pusha the button. Cycle it through the temps. Your little Haze will wake right up. No prob. Sometimes it's hard to get the mp out fast enough to shut it off. Just open the battery door, it shuts off. Close it and it takes up where it left off.
I always shift down to "1" before I turn it off. Cuts down the load on the switch. The switch is self-wiping type so it cleans up with use.
To get the most from your Haze, get to know it. Where is the vapor path going in the vape? If you knew your Haze, you wouldn't put the cans in backward. The notch in the cans line up with the holes out of the oven. The silicone lids line up with the holes out of the oven.
The way you enjoy your herb is as different from everyone else, as there are people in the world. I can't tell you how to use your Haze to get the results you want. Neither can anyone else tell you the "best" way to us it. You have to get to know your Haze. Don't expect someone else to do it for you. Ok I'm off my soap box now. Happy Hazing folks. Doc

What's up fellow hazers?
Well it's been almost 2 months since I got my V3 and it has been everything I had hoped for. I do have a few questions I hope you all can help me with. The first is what does everyone do with their abv material. A lot of times I'm not sure if it's totally spent and empty the chamber because I don't want to burn it. I've heard some people save their abv? Do you roll it in a joint or water pipe it? I feel as though I'm wasting material by emptying the chamber too soon. I pack my finely ground herb 3/4 full in the screen or can not to packed and get on average 10 good hits. Is this average? The other question is I use a grinder and have Keef from the bottom of the grinder. Does anyone else out there smoke the Keef in the haze and if so what is the best teqnique used to vaporize it? Thanks in advance. This site rocks!!
