Airizer solo still best for its value?

Is the airizer still a top brand or is tek advanced past it now I'm lookin no more then £130 for a portable model like the airizer solo probably this but. Checking no better before I spend

Had to repost this: Look at the Solo as compared to the Cano. Must be all that condensation that takes place on the inside surfaces of the bag, eh? But then, what's DaVinci's excuse?

This was posted in another thread. FCer @lwien posted this. The Solo is the vaporizer I always suggest for more bang for your buck. Great with an all glass air path. It will last the owner for many years to come. This study shows that the Solo extracts more of the meds than other vaporizers.

Some folks write the Solo off to a "beginners Vaporizer"

But, for the cash at 150$... I love it.

Some of the more seasoned Vaporists still use it as their Daily Driver.

There is just something "special" about it , when I hold it in my hand and take a draw, it feels... Classy ? Perhaps?

I refer you to Lady @CarolKing , obviously a well seasoned "Vet of Vaporization" having multiple vaporizers ... I believe she reaches for her Solo most often.

The flavor that is in your Cannabis, will be heightened and highlighted by the Solo's delivery system.
Add a domed screen to stock stems, and you now have some versatility regarding air-flow and load size.

Sometimes a product is so good that it stands the test of time. The Solo is one of those products. How do I know......I'd buy another without concern for what else is out there. Another bit of evidence is how many folks have said 'The air is a great vape...but I still prefer the Solo'.

When someone asks about which vape to use as a beginner I almost always suggest the Solo. Not because it's a beginner's vape but because it's a great vape to start off with.

Small, built like a tank, works phenomenally, simple to use but can be tricked out accessory wise and sips your product like it was paying for it.

@CarolKing post the photo of your Solo attached to a whip and show how tricked out things can get!

Me put it this way, I have a Volcano Aromed (it's a high end whip vape) and a solo. I consider all three equally good as far as efficiency with maybe the aromed having a bit of an edge and the volcano having a bit less of an edge as this is how it keeps the flavour so consistent I believe. The solo is great for on the go and as others have said, it feels classy!

Yes it is the best bang for your buck in my opinion right now. Will satisfy new vapers and seasoned ones alike.

I never quite understood the love for this vape. Okay for beginners I guess.

Do you mean this pic? @Ed's TnT made me this adapter. He used the whip from the Herbalizer. It's more playable. I can sit on the couch without worrying about the glass mouthpiece if I don't want to. It fits the Arizer Air too. It's made with the blood wood.

The Solo isn't just for beginners. It's for anybody that wants portability and flavor that doesn't cost a lot. It doesn't use a lot of product either. I'm not sure why it would just be for beginners? Maybe because it's easy to use and clean.

If it's good for beginners it's probably good for the rest of us too. Easy to use, good vapor production, easy to clean, cheap, it doesn't get much better. I don't own a solo or air anymore because my friends bought them from me, but I often consider getting another solo. It's the closest vapor experience to a joint, and times when I want more than a 1 hit, I find myself wishing I still had a solo by my side. It's a very reliable device.

Its good for beginners because its easy to use. Personally I would say it can and does get a whole heck of a lot better.

I think it is a great value and no slouch in performance either. I had one, sold it to a friend and bought myself an Air. I like the Air as well. If I were looking for a portable I would get a Solo or an Air. I kinda like the Solo a little bit better because it feels more solid and durable (not sure if it is), but I could not tell much if any any difference in performance. Main difference was using a shorter stem, which seems to change taste a little bit, better but hotter and the all my Air/Solo stems are interchangeable.

Both are winners. I like the air because it is a bit easier to fit into a pocket and the batteries are easily removed and charged. If I had a ton of money I would probably blow some on a Mighty just because I like vaporizers. But I definitely don't NEED one.

The Solo is a great vaporizer especially for the price. The stems hold around .17-.24 grams or so and will sometimes last two 10 minute sessions for me (sometimes 3 but no flavor by then), but I can do a stem in a single session if I push it. I'm not sure what your tolerance is or if you already vape. But vaping .2 grams is almost like smoking .4 grams in my experience, once you get used to vapor only and work on technique.

That's what I would get if I had a budget of <$200 and was looking for a portable. EIther the Solo or the Air. The Solo fits good in the hand. The air I would get at least one extra battery for. I have 3 total. The solo already has two batteries built in. I liked the Solo so much I got an Air.

What other session based portables do you prefer?

I'm just curious to try anything that is better than a solo/air.

What do you like in a vape? Such as glass, metal, bowl size, portability, ease of use, etc.?

For the price, the Solo is a good introduction to portable vaporizors. Like most portables, though, it falls short of the performance of a quality plugin.

I think a whole lot of people missed @drgreen main criteria. Get a Solo, save a buck & enjoy your new vape. If you can afford it consider a Haze or maybe Alfa if you are in the UK as Ireland would be OK for warranty/service. A Solo will deliver clouds for cheap though & the money you save can go on a GonG & bong .

The solos a great value and a very versatile vaporizer. Its built like a brick, I've accidentally dropped mine a few times and even had a guest somehow accidentally step on it with no damage. Sure its not the heaviest hitter or quickest unit to use but I can confidently say its a thorough extractor capable of some pretty big hits with the right technique.

I own other vaporizers, but the solo still holds its place in the rotation.

Well you could wait for the grasshopper too, not sure what the price will be. If you want to stay under 200 you could also check out the MFLB, I would put it against almost any vaporizer in terms of how well it can taste/vapor quality, and in terms of efficiency.

If you don't mind going over budget look at the Haze, the Zion, and way over your budget portable that hits like a at home desktop unit, the crafty or mighty.

The grasshopper can't compare to the solo because the grasshopper isn't a session based vape, and I own a MFLB, which also isn't a session vape. The grasshopper reminds me way too much of thermovape herb vapes, which I have lots of pieces to lying around my closet - I don't need a 1 hitter vape anyways, I'm very much satisfied with the vapcap.

I was curious about what vapes Scott A prefers because he answered that it gets a whole lot better, and I have yet to experience that- granted I still haven't tried every vape, so I'm always trying to expand my horizon.

How about the Firewood v3? I've never tried a Solo (or Air) because the session-conduction style did not appeal to me, but the fw3 is in a similar price range, offers pure convection with a fast (~10s) heat-up time, and I'm guessing it's more pocketable.

I have yet to find a portable vape that is better in my eyes than the arizer solo. (not tried the air yet)

You haven't tried the crafty or mighty I presume. If price isn't a problem these two portables take the cake easy. I know someone who owns a herbalizer and it's collecting dust because his Mighty is preferred always.

Why limit to session based portables? Only other 2 that I have used extensively are the Ascent and the Pinnacle Pro and all three were about equal but then again there is a reason I got rid of all three of them. Other than the Storz and Bickel vapes that whole category of vapes leaves a lot to be desired for me.

Nobody is saying that the Solo is the only vaporizer that we are using. Most of us have several vaporizers. The Solo is a great vaporizer that is well made at a good price.

The question was: is the Solo still a top brand. Many of us think it is. Yes it's easy, efficient and portable, that was also mentioned above.

Cause we can't be comparing apples and oranges. Of course a desktop will deliver more power than a portable. Of course an instant hitter will produce different style vapor from a session vape. As it stands I sold my solo and my air for the same reason, and it's a reason many keep those devices around: it was getting me too stoned. I prefer to take 1 hits throughout the day rather than sit down and have a session, like the Arizer products are good for. Still I can't help but regret selling them when I want to vape with a friend.

& the Solo is the best vape I can think of that meets that criteria especially due to price. There are of course numerous butane vapes that would be highly suitable as well. If you want to lift the price requirements there is a whole world out there.

It can & does get better but you get what you pay for. If you want to spend more there are heaps of options available. I want to purchase a MV later this year perhaps? I will not be comparing a vape that costs 3-4x as much to my Air.

Since you are after an efficient cheap portable you need to decide between butane torch (Lotus or VapMan) or battery power (Alfa or Solo) in your price range. They are the best vapes by general consensus & you could look at a few outliers like the Hammer or FM but in your price range choices are limited but good.
