I was told the batch bought a few days ago (right before the price increase from 152 to 165) would be shipped out, but alas, my order is still only listed as "confirmed". Anyone gotten confirmation of shipment yet?

So excited

Guys, do you hear some kind of high pitched buzzing noises - NOT talking about the regular buzzing/vibration thing. As soon as press the button it's there constantly... It's not as loud as the normal buzzing but yet very perceptible. No one has mentioned this before, so I'm wondering if this is common??
Also when I look into the hole down to the heater - is yours aligned perfectly straight? Mine seems to be slightly oblique..

Thanks for your reports - happy firewoodin' :D :)

My Firewood makes a clicking sound when in use. I like hearing it when using the Bottle Rocket. I normally have the Firewood almost touching my ear in usage.

In the past few days I've started hearing a high pitched whine coming from mine while it's running. It's pretty quiet, not very noticeable without putting it up to my ear. Sometimes I hear a little click when taking a hit too, possibly the heater power switching? Can't really tell for sure about the alignment.

I think I also shook something loose during my first week with it; the vibration got deeper/coarser, and sometimes it seems to register a button press or something if I move the entire device suddenly and quickly.

fw performance continues to impress nonetheless!

I hear you, I'm switching to vape for health reasons and stumbled onto the Firewood 3 last week. After checking the site periodically I got lucky and saw the walnut one come into stock. I had to buy it as I was in the market and have been hearing great things. I'm new to vaping in general but have been looking into it for a while.

The Alfa from goboff going to be my choice but the design, and user testimony of the Firewood as well as the price seemed like a no brainer.

I found this forum as well via my research, looking forward to blowing some clouds. Nice place y'all have here.

Yeah, it's more of a coil buzzing... Hi frequent. I had the impression when I gently knock with my finger against the wood it changes and fades.. Hope these "working sounds" are normal..? Can anyone chime in and tell his observations? When I use it and it's quiet around I can hear it w/o holding it next to my ear. So it should be noticeable.

I'm no vapor expert by any means, but I own a few of my own and am familiar with many models through friends. This one will be a great addition to the quiver. On its way to me already:D

I don't know if he sells them, but I do know that if you email him and tell him what happened he'll send you a new one. That being said, I'm still waiting for him to send me one as I dropped mine about a month ago and the battery top split. Luckily, I as able to superglue it back together with some Loctite Super Glue Ultra Gel lmao! The top is still holding today haha so, no big deal if he sends me a new one now.

I wish these were more readily available. With my tax return I want to get another vaporizer. I was thinking another Firewood 3.0 (for instances if I drop and break mine), but the demand is a little too high right now. I guess its finally time to buy a desktop model.

Nice, are you expecting yours to ship today? That's what the site says.I was hoping I'd have it before the storm but doesn't seem likely. My wife and I have been smoking blunts and I just can't do it anymore.

Thanks for the welcome @vapen00b

For people looking to buy one. They restocked this morning. Reddit user Aeburnside has noticed that when they restock it tends to be around 7:45 AM EST. So if they're out of stock by the time you see this that's a good time to be checking the site.

Edit: unfortunately for me it seems the capsules are sold out presently. I really need to grab an extra pair of those :/

2nd edit: seems like there was a glitch with the mobile site for me that made it appear that the capsules are sold out. I now have ordered 2 and my Firewood experience is about to get a bit more versatile :)

Versatile, how so? Loading different strains? Is it possible to do wax or concentrates in the FW3?

You can buy a mesh pad for concentrates. This thing should get hot enough. While there are only four heat settings, there are instructions on this thread for raising the temp ranges.

Versatility, able to load different strains and switch them out. I have some thc e-juice that I just put on the herb and it works pretty well, I'd like to have a capsule that I dedicate to that and 2 other capsules where one primarily gets used for sativas and sativa leaning hybrids and the other gets used for indicas and indica leaning hybrids. I'll probable eventually get more to have things split up even more. I'm also likely to split them up in different ways depending on what I anticipate my medical needs being on a particular day.

Edit, there is a variety of ways to do concentrates and wax in the FW3 I'm partial to the "sandwich method" you put a bit of herb in, you put some concentrate on that and then you put some more herb, it's great.

chillin on the couch, sippin off a 22 ounce.
So I got my unfinished maple in the mail the other day and finally got both units dialed in over the last couple of days. Main differences are:

Maple: The core glows really quick and shuts off after only five seconds. but it will stay on when you keep drawing air through it. But yeah, you barely have to "stoke" this thing at all... just begin drawing and you're good. Temp hack is set at +3.

Walnut: Now on this one the coil will glow forever before it shuts itself off. The key difference is that it doesn't glow as quickly and as bright as the Maple unit (the heating element's "ramp up" I guess you could refer to it as), despite it being at a +4 on its temperature hack setting. This means drawing from it is a little different - more sipping than hitting when compared to its maple counterpart.

It's very, VERY cool to have a pair of FW3's that act a bit different form each other, and yet produce extremely similar large clouds once dialed in!

I've lost my mouthpiece for my FW 2.1, does anyone know of a workaround or source of replacement mouthpiece? I just want something to last until the FW3 is back in stock.

So. I have been testing the crap out of my FW3s. Just like @JJ420 I too have a walnut and maple. I do agree for some reason they act different and I adjusted the temp different on each as well.

The FW3 is one hell of a great vaporizer and also one of most reasonably priced ones too!
I am amazed at how many draws you get off of such a tiny capsule. I could vape all day with this and probably use less than a gram! This has been my go to DD vape for, well.....since I got it!!!

I have never even used temp 4 and rarely use temp 3. It is so great with lower temps!

Everyone loves the old school dugout vibe it has too.:D

@Just Justin I am a low temp guy. I prefer the most taste possible. I would be using the hopper at the same temps as y, I am curious which hopper will fit me better the Ti or the SS.
hope to see a review maybe also video in the near future!
aould be great!

I am starting to think my Maple Unit has a faulty heater though. Why? The coil stops glowing after only about three seconds after the initial pull to kick it on. Still, it does seem to stay glowing as long as you're drawing from the unit. Despite this it still got me super vaked earlier today.

My Walnut unit is a real gem though... thing operates flawlessly and the coil will remain glowing for 20 seconds like it should. note: I just tested it with glass and stoked it like normal and the results were amazing every time. So the unit does in fact act like it should even though the heating element acts a little different than my walnut unit.

The abv the FW3 produces is damn near perfect. Despite getting some really nice clouds, the duff is more really dark gold than brown in color. Jeez and it is really, really evenly roasted!

Just tried this vaporizer out with a bong.. Holy Sheeesh!! The mouthpiece mated snugly into a 14mm showerhead downstem. Stoked the unit for about five seconds at the fourth setting and began to easily and instantly milk a Jake C. vortex over and over again! The FW3's efficiency gets taken even further this way. 3 fat milked hits off just a 1/4 capsule's worth, ground coarse and packed down with a light tamp. Very intense!!:o

@JJ420 Try starting your maple on 3 then when you start getting vapor, then step the temp down to 1 or 2 or whatever you normally like to start at.
I do that often and it works well for me. I did raise the temp hack to 3.
Maybe this might help.
