next generation e-nails?

I agree, but again, it's the defensiveness to ONE product, the way people defend it as if it were a person... Anyway, it really isn't that serious, not serious enough to have this much back and forth. I've judged glass function that I've never used before based on what I have used before. Sometimes if you're knowledgable enough you're ok to do so unless you make extraordinary claims about said product.

you're missing the point everyone's making. when you make broad blanket statements concerning quality of a knockoff and comparing it directly real thing, yet you have never used said real product, people are going to call you on it. i think a lot of people come on this forum and especially this thread to seek advice on what to get and to see others opinions. but your opinion isn't really valid as you've only used knock offs. don't give misleading info/advice about a product that you have never even used before. this forum also happens to be home to some big time dnail heads and dnail beta testers, so you picked literally the worst place besides maybe the dnail facebook page to make these comments.

and for the record, i don't even own a dnail product so don't lump me into some "dnail fanboy" group.

I appreciate your points, but people commenting on the knock-off who have not used it is just as invalid as me commenting on a d-nail I have not used. I would hardly say I gave misleading info/advice and if anything my statement was pretty narrow and hardly telling everyone to go buy one right now. Having used various nails along with the fact that both the d-nail and the knock-off are a quartz dish heated by a flat coil I felt it fine to make an educated guess that the knock-off is relatively close (maybe 80%). This is just as valid as people guessing the knock off is a piece of shit and the d-nail halo is magic.

My wife is a medical patient. We live in a state where the medical program just opened up and up until recently have only sold flower. They just started selling concentrate wax. So we went out and bought her a rig with a Ti nail, torch the whole setup. Sometimes she has a hard time working the torch and heating up the nail because of weakness in her hands. So I started looking into enails. Can anyone make some honest suggestions for us on something that can be easily set, works with Ti nails and is in the $300 range for the controller, cord with coil and possibly a new nail too.

And then I did some reading on seasoning new nails. What do you think is the best method to season a new nail ?

I would get the Auder RDK-200 (NOT the 300), a flat coil from Auber, and a SIC dish and base from D-Nail. That should come in around $300.00

@PoopMachine - Thanks for the reply. I am looking into the Auber RDK-200 and a flat coil from them as well. As far as your suggestion goes on getting a SIC dish and base from D-Nail, to make sure that the base fits onto my current rig, how do I effectively measure the end joint of my rig to find out what size (mm) base I need? As far as pricing it seems right on point with what we are looking to spend. We are still unsure if concentrates are the way she is going to go as well as if the program is going to last where we live. The RDK-200 with a flat coil is going for $130.00 right now. On D-Nail I am a bit confused on all what parts I would need to build a nail using a flat coil.

Post a picture.. someone can tell you.

Ii might be a little above your budget but I would get a Highly Educated Infiniti and a SIC dish to go on top of it. The Infiniti will fit both 18 and 14 male and female so outside of any 10mm stuff, you should be all set and 10mm isn real common.

I dont really care for the Infiniti but it definitely has its place.

For D-Nail halo owners ... using an HE quartz dish retaining nut opens up the ability to use flat faced carb caps like the flat side of the CCA Storm Cell or flat glass carb caps.

I STILL think THIS is Next GEN! Errlectric for the win. No PID. American made. Herb nail dry herb vaporizer and Full Quartz Nail double header on the Eross Fourtex. I have had my first one for well over a year and still going strong!

Sorry for the double post but I think this deserves its own post.
I just saw this on IG. Omninail Quartz dish that "threads" on to their existing bases. It is definately a different design. @herbivore21 if you see this let me know what you think. I'm not so sure about the holes. It also said about an upcoming Hive/omninail collab...

Also, this quote from Errlectric's website about their Quartz.
"Worked from Momentive® GE214 fused quartz by one of the most respected scientific glass manufacturers in the United States of America."

Pretty sure the hive and omni collab is already out and is basically an all ceramic omni-nail unless there's another one in the pipeline.

I tried contacting them with some questions and they answered my first few but then just stopped all together. I tried sending emails but never got a response. I went with 420 Life enails and they were very customer friendly to the point they called me and walked me through my enail setup and what temps I should use with my Quartz enail & CCA/710 Liger v.2. DieHard has always given me good advice on Dabbing but I was really turned off by Errlectric.

They mean it fits 10/14/18mm male and female. while you have been able to put the nail on two ways on your rig technically only the first pic of your second link is correct.

First, I'd like to ask, are you simply looking for something that works, or do you and your wife consider yourselves very picky about your smoke? You will get a lot of suggestions here that will steer you to the right direction in getting the best of the best for your smoke, as far as top quality and taste is concerned. However that will get expensive and even if it fits into your budget, if your end goal isn't best of the best, you could save some money and still get what you're looking for.

For a less complicated and cheaper alternative, I suggest getting something like this. It's cheaper and comes with a compatible nail for the heating coil. The nail you have is a torch nail, meaning the only way to heat it up is with a torch, not e-nail coil.

The option that says "Flat Coil with Titanium Nail and Carb Cap" is what you need. It comes with everything you need out of the box to begin dabbing for $140. As for seasoning a nail, that comes with use. Continue using it and it will get there eventually.

If you actually are interested in high end products, let us know and we can chime in on those setups in detail.

@PoopMachine - 18 mm? Then it switches from male to female. Now what do they mean when they say 6-in-1?
6 in 1 basically means it can fit 10mm 14mm and 18mm for both Male and Female joints. Basically a one size fits all.

another Noob question:
Can these power supplies for enails also be used to power other devices, like a Hi or ToastyTop?

Yes, unless you're trying to power something requiring 10+ amps it should work just fine. Check your manual to make sure but these devices don't require that much in amps.

I just was not sure if these types of power supplies were proprietary and if they only worked with enails; glad to know I can use it for other items:D Thanks!

If you are into High end goodies check into Errlectric. There are several nail options including a Dry Herb Nail.
