Yes, seamless band. Also, a correction to my above note, they said it "sounds like a pin is sticking on the inside of your button". Not loose like I wrote earlier. My error.

Edit - so I just went up, knocked out two loads. During the session it clicked on red, then shut off like it's been doing. Once it went off, I flicked the clicker (like they suggested and I did earlier) and it came back on, went to blue, worked fine. Earlier today I was turning the device off then tapping the clicker. This time I did it while it was still on and it kicked it back in normal. But, if I turn it on and it blinks red then nothing fixes it except turning it back off and on.

Side note - I packed a few of the Pro bullets today, put them in my little 7 bullet holder, and used them to load the Hopper. Worked great. Just pack the bullet very lightly and no more than half way. Turn the bullet upside down, so that the top of the bullet is facing down the Hopper trench and flick the bullet. The herb falls out of the bullet right into the hopper with no mess. Just don't over pack the bullet. Definitely nice for on the go loads.

Wow , another indiegogo campaign .
Count me in ...

LOL'd harder than I should have hahahaha.

Perfect thread to post it, but I don't think many people here have much patience left for indiegogo campaigns.

The Indiegogo campaign is over and the chewy is in production. It will be available for retail sale, that's why I mentioned it here.:)

I would not have posted otherwise.

It does look interesting and I would like to mess with one, but they don't mention a lot of things I want to know, like estimated battery life and max holding capacity. Also I don't usually grind on the go, I'm more likely to pre-grind before I leave the house so I don't know if I really have a use for this product...If they make a somewhat bigger home version though, I'd almost certainly acquire one!

The chewy takes a 9V battery and I was told it lasts a very long time. I too pre grind my material and use dube tubes.

I thought this looked like the perfect tool for you lucky grasshopper owners so I posted it.

I am to be getting a pre production one soon so I can tell you all more information such as the herb capacity and price and everything else.

I will be sure to keep all posted on the chewy and see if it's a go or if it's a no. I will also find out if they are making larger ones as well.

This is the closest experience to combusting with a bong that I've ever had. The AVB was lightly toasted after this hit. Hopper was set on the fourth tick.

If it were not for reliability issues (not that I've had any issues, but I've only had it a couple of weeks) my Evo would be up for sale. No question!

edit: apologies for the portrait vid. I was very stoned when I filmed it

Very nice @blankexpression! Very impressive!:o

I notice a majority of grasshopper owners use water pipes.
@blankexpression took a 27 second massive bong rip and it looked like a hit from a desktop!:)

I wonder if that's whats causing the heater failure and weak batteries.... I couldn't imagine there being enough battery life to do more than 1 more bong rip of the same caliber.

It seems the GH is a hell of a little powerhouse and most owners are using them as a desktop vape with water pipes.

Just my :2c:.

If I get one I would want to take it out as my DD and hit my desktops when at home.

Are there any hopper owners that use theirs dry at around 3 on the dial? I'm curios how many full chambers you get out of the battery when the heater is not so overwhelmed.

God am I excited to get one!:D

From what I have read about the device it cuts like a pair of scissors rather than grinds the herb. I personally think that it might be more hassle loading the GH with this than with your hands. I just feel trying to hold it still over the loading chamber without it spilling everywhere could be a bit hit or miss.

I know it isn't about aesthetics when grinding and function over form is key, but I think it looks damn ugly. A bit like a old hard drive from a pc or assembled from meccano with all its exposed screws etc. :2c:

It hard to sift through all of it, but there are actually many posts of users who like it dry, at various temps even. Varying battery and failure reports too, when everythings alright, seems 3-4 bowls is still a true estimate. I wouldn't say most owners anything about this, too hard to make a claim of that based on this thread for sure, unless you track every user who posted...

It speaks more to its power that people feel it is better than their desktops, choosing to use it at home dry or through water despite its limitations... For me the Zion similarly kinda puts the desktops I own/used to shame btw

I don't believe the failures are a result of using it through water pipes. The heater is more than powerful enough to withstand it. And i have had no problems with the three batteries i own. I haven't counted, but you can definitely do more than 2 of those hits on one battery.

The GH can definitely be used natively on 3 without water. But as many have said, the vapor can make one's throat scratchy, depending on certain factors. It's a side effect of the design, i think, so we fix it by going through water. It definitely shines through water.

I use my grasshopper as a desktop because i can be stoned out of my mind with it before my Evo even fully heats up. it's just simpler, quicker, faster, easier than a desktop. My Evo has been collecting dust since i got my hopper.

i can use it on max setting and no water, problem is that you can not draw to strong, so hopper will tun auto off, as about grinding stuff...actually you don't need to grind anything as convection works well.
the biggest downside is battery (800mAh) last me for 2 refill and of course stronger draws make air very hot, so some kind of extender (or water pipe) is needed....but that depends on drowing power and hopper output power, still i think they need to make a big hopper using 18650 battery for last long battery and bigger chamber (optional).

afterall i am very happy and satisfied with that vaporizer :)

Y'all remember how touching a metallic object to the clicker and body simultaneously causes the unit to "false trigger" charging (red lights) for just a moment, before shutting off?
When I caused that to happen with my stir/pack/dab tool I noticed what I can only describe as an electrical arc inside the temp dial. Like a tiny spark.
Anyone else notice this spark/arc?
My unit is working wonderfully. I'm still trying to find the sweet spot for bareback use. LOVE it through water at home, but I'm trying not to get used to that, as I really want it to be my on the go one hitter.
Anyone have tips on best usage bare backed? I guess mine works well out and about, but i just don't get the clouds I'm used to from other vapes...that's probably a good thing though. Less cloud=more stealth. I probably just need to get used to tasting and not seeing.
LOVE this thing so far!!

they should make a big brother GrassHopper for sure! or maybe even a desktop device with this unique heater?

if they make GrassHopper xL, then it should be camouflaged as a e-cig mod. looking like that pretty
eGo One/mega.

I received my grasshopper maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago, I ordered from indiegogo on 12/10/13. Mine has been working with no problems so far. With that said I haven't been keeping up with this thread too much, but thought I'd give my opinion on my unit.

The features I enjoy most about the grasshopper are price point, size/portability, heat up time and overall form factor. If I am running out to do some quick errands the grasshopper has been my go to vape.

Some of the downsides are vapor quality, terrible battery life, the mouth piece can get hot and the flavor falls off quickly. I am not impressed with vapor quality especially after I saw people comparing it to the EVO. In my opinion both my EVO and Zion beta kill the grasshopper as far as vapor quality goes it's not even close.

I get better results with nugs rather than grinding my herb because it seems to clog the mouthpiece when ground. I have yet to try it though water since for me the grasshopper is purely for on the go when I need something that fits in my pocket. If I am in my car I prefer my Zion beta, the vapor quality is just so much better and more pleasant.

Overall it is a pretty cool little vape and has a purpose in my collection, not sure it was worth the 2 year wait. The battery life and vapor quality are really the two biggest downsides for me, I can barely get 3 full chambers on 1 charge. Comparing that to my Zion beta which I can't even keep track of how many stems I get on a fresh set of batteries because I get so many.
