Discontinued The Venus Apollo

I've got 2 vape pre-orders in place already, yet your design is so much to my liking that I'd like to request a spot on any pre-order list you might start (subject to price of course), but the advice given already on pricing seems solid to me, despite the great satisfaction of getting a bargain, there's also satisfaction to be had in paying full price for something which turns out to be great, and your vape certainly looks to meet those criteria if it comes out as you hope!

That Apollo name has been on my mind many times, now should just find someone to create a nice logo for it :D

Now I'm just finishing things, getting instruction manuals ready, preparing a website, need to get studio quality photos, videos and so on. And once the wood parts for the first production batch arrive, hopefully by mid January, then I can start shipping quickly. All is tried and tested working so I feel confident now about this all.

About the pricing I am still trying to figure it out, what is the ideal price point for this.

I am really more of a vaporizer enthuasist than a businessman so all ideas are welcome on pricing, marketing sales etc.
Sounds like a level one contest for help on the logo? I tattoo :) also good at drawing sketches, potraits, some painting, and some computer design

A name naming contest would be fun, for the Halogen Portable Vaporizer.

The HPV, for me?

As you know, acronyms are in.

Ever since I saw the aromed and venus I've loved the idea of vaping with light (sort of). I love my desktop vape though and am not tempted to get another one, but portables are different. I can't wait until this is out. I'm following the thread and most likely buying the vape. $300-ish is going to hurt, but this thing is so damn cool.

Probably gonna spring for a walnut Firewood to match my walnut nano for the time being. Definitely going to have a piggy bank labeled "PP" though.

It will be mine, it will be fine.

Vape on?

Nice way to get around the copyright issues by using Venus too! Helps build the brand and still uses the great Apollo name. Really digging the logo overall actually...

...so does this mean I officially win the name suggestion "contest" then? ;):D

Thanks! Yeah it seems that this combination is unique! And as we have been building our brand for years in Finland, it makes sense to combine them like this!

And for the one who suggested the name Helios, I can tell also thank you, I didn't forget that one and our new line of compact desktop vapes, to be released in February, will be named Helios. :)

Hey, I think that was me! What is this desktop you speak of?

So then thank you for the name :)) It's been almost 4 years since I released the Venus Vaporizer, which is a battery operated halogen vape with limited portability. It's portable at home but to take it with you you need a bag! So now as the Apollo is about to arrive with its true portability, I decided to create a new halogen vaporizer without batteries, and same time implementing many of the new features invented during the Apollo project. This way I can offer a less expensive alternative for those who are happy to have a desktop only vape.

So the new desktop model has a similar style design in materials but the shape is different as it doesn't need to have room for batteries. And with the addition of newest heating element with temp sensor technology from the Apollo, it is clearly an update to the original Venus vaporizer. Also the new features of adjustable boost power, stepless adjustment between 20-120%, stealth mode, a new "high power" mode that one can choose instead of the "classic venus"-mode, will speed up warm up and give extra power reserves for those in need of that. Also as the electronics are completely redesigned, we have added some cool and classy effects to improve the athmosphere of vaping sessions, and the vapor is now visible inside the glass all the time, not only when boosting. And the vaporizer accepts now a wide range of voltages between 6-14V, so this means that the user can connect it directly to a car battery systems or other voltage sources. And also there are design plans of a battery pack for this which serves also as a battery extender for the owners of the original venus.

Will it be possible to hook up this new desktop to water filtration systems, aka, bongs?

I guess water filtration might be thought of as an American thing, but I, as a European, have not looked back either after trying my first vape trough water...

All still looking very good and promising...lets see when production kicks up and when we are allowed a place in line :p

:mmmm:

Man I did not see that coming, sounds equally amazing and just as enticing as the Apollo, Helios is also a great name! Great idea

Good question about the water adapters... And seems we're really getting close to seeing and trying these out finally! So excited!

Time to change the thread title to Venus Vaporizer Apollo? Or Venus Apollo rather, and I guess now a new thread for Venus Helios too?!

Wow.

Also I like the new name.

This sounds great! I love my halogen unit (non-Venus) for home use, and have been dreaming of a halogen portable. Any idea when the Venus Apollo will be launched?

Honestly, this is one of four portables near release that I'm watching. Before ordering anything, I'll probably hold back for a bit to see how the initial users feel about them. I'm hoping that portable mediocrity will be a thing of the past.
