can someone recommend some good stash jars?

I like Wrack Works pill fobs from Jazebra.com and have 3 of the various sizes. 1 for kief, 1 for everyday stash carry and 1 large one for indoor sessions. Not flimsy, can withstand being run over by a car, air and water tight. The problem is they are always out of stock.

But, I also end up buying from here- http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=30they are fast, and you can order a just a couple of each size. I regularly use the small 1oz amber bottles, pocket sized grab and go.
This website is cheap and they look like decent products, Im deciding between these:

I use mason jars kept in a box a little taller than a shoebox to protect them from light. This isn't show quality stuff but it's practical and cost-efficient.

I found some old cleaned out glass jam jars. And I think a couple Gerber jars. They have a rubberized cap that seals really tightly.:2c:

I love the mason jars myself. I have several sizes and the attachments to the foodsaver thingy to suck the air out of them. Absolutely adore this system which keeps things fresh E fresh :D

I of course store them in darkness since they are clear glass.

Great find indigal. I really like the look and price of those 8oz glass jars. I just have one question either for ingal or rabican.

Is there a gasket around the lid or top of the jar or is it just glass on glass?

I can't tell from the picture and I think I would buy a couple if there is some sort of plastic/rubber seal.

Wow, that is some good timing. I didn't expect you to see that post so soon.

I hope you like your jar. Let me know how everything goes.

Thank You!

Almost all that I've ordered from specialtybottle were the plastic coated paper plugs in the lid. Most are made for both liquid & dry storage. They are decent quality little vials & bottles. The decorative glass topped glass bottles have a flexible plastic insert on the top to give it a seal. I've only used the screw-cap ambers and the little clear vials myself.

I just use a small baby food jar. It seems to work well for me. I keep it in a drawer so it's not in any light and it is out of sight.

Just placed an order with Specialty Bottle. Thanks for the tip indigal! They have the coolest little jars, bottles, and tins. I ordered a few amber dropper bottles for when I make swamp water, a few tins for kief, etc., some amber glass for stash and a blue glass because....well I just like blue glass. I also picked up a few plastic bottles for cleaning MZ stems. Really a fun little shopping trip. Of course....I might have been a little buzzed.

Yes thef have a rubber seal, the seal isnt as nice as i thought it would be, but it works. I was thinking it would be like the really nice seals the candle jars from say Yankee candles have, more rubbery and air tight. This works though and its cheap :)

The blue glass is perty

Only problem with that site is the cost of shipping. $10 shipping charge hurts when the order is only $5 of stuff :|

I like the dropper bottles too for that reason. I also get some of the spritzer bottles, put everclear plus a few drops of essential oil- instant air freshener! The little vial sizes are perfect for storing kief for me until I can press it- or saving the occasional special seeds for the "someday" grow.. when I move to the woods and no one can find me!! :uhoh:

I just bought these-

www.goodmans.net/item.asp?n=BL-61162&k=BL-61162&sc=FRGL

I wanted wide-mouth jars so it would be easy to grab the bud and I didn't want the jars to be too big overall. These jars seemed to be the right size and they are Ball Mason Jars, so I knew I was getting quality.

I could have actually gotten a dozen for about $4 more but I just don't need that many. I got four, for four different strains at about a 1/4 to 1/2 oz each. Now I just need an ABV jar.

Like others have written just use Mason jars. They're cheap, airtight, you can get them anywhere, and they come in various sizes.

I use mason jars too...love them! Like Lo said, suck the air out and keep them in a dark place. I've stored herb for about 6-7 months like this (that was the last jar anyway!) and they tasted better than the first day after the cure....much smoother.

Another Thank You to indigal, I bought quite a few items there and would have easily spent $50 or more elsewhere, in fact those jars look surprisingly similar to 420 stash jars, hmmm.....

can someone please put a link to the kind of product you'd use to suck the air out of a jar? thanks
