next generation e-nails?

I ordered several items last week and used the same code. It worked, but only for one of the low priced items in my cart (a sticker combo), and wasn't applied to anything else. My large'ish order only had a $0.30, discount.

I want to upgrade my nail to a hybrid domeless one next month, but not sure wich one to get. Wich one has better quartz and Ti, the halo from dnail or DualiTi? Both of them are same price so I want the better one. Keep in mind that I'm gonna use it with a tor h if that matters.

In the mean time I'm gonna order a dhgate one, anyone knows the grade of the Ti?

If you are using a torch why not just get a good 3mm or 4mm thick Hyman quartz banger and cap? That will rock your world until you get an enail.

I know this is the next gen thread but If I were you I would get this for my torch.

And after that I'm still confused why dnail is the only hybrid nail you are considering before going generic? I'm actually interested to see how good that knock off really is myself. But if you are looking for a really good hybrid nail you should at least put the Liger V2.0 on the list of possibilities. I have several pieces from CCA and they are all the highest quality Ti, SiC, and Quartz imaginable. Carb caps are in stock. The taste and function are fantastic. The Quartz halo is a beautiful thing also when paired with the correct carb cap and a non-smelly base, but you should at least consider this Liger banger until then. I doubt you would ever want to switch.

And before I get accused, no I'm not a fanboy or a sales rep for them. LOL Nor do I work for the company in any way or any sales field. I'm an IT director actually. I just REALLY like this product and use it several times a day. It's my favorite form of medicating and I have several. Check it out if you are in the market for a new nail for your E nail. Plus they have a 10% off for FC members, code FUCKCOMBUSTION .

Hey do you read my mind? Just ordered a 4mm banger and a carb cap this morning!

I'm really disappointed with the chinese seller of the knock off. I ordered in the 14th and next day he gave me a tracking number that's still not working. Obviusly I write to him past friday and he gave me a new one on saturday that's still not working and told me about chinese new year... Sorry? it's 14th of january dude, not 2 days before chinese new year.

Same day I ordered from 2 other sellers and both items are already in Spain and will be soon at my place. Not happy so far, if new year arrives and my nail isn't here I'm gonna ask for my money back.

About the liger, it looks really cool and good quality. Will search more info about it. Thanks dude!

Not to be captain obvious, but this is one of the huge problems with chinese vendors (some of them). You don't like it? Oh well, hes making $2 USD profit to ship it across the world, how much customer service can you really expect?

Of course some are awesome. Its a crapshoot. I made the rule nothing important comes from the cheapest place in china. The downside to saving is be prepared to wait a long time, be prepared for excuses, and be prepared for imperfection. If I can't accept one/some of those, then I can't risk it. When I can, I save a fortune.

Just got the quartz/titanium nail from DHGate. A flat coil fits...barely. Semi-concerned about having it on too tight and cracking the dish, but it is an ok fit. The dishes themselves are a bit janky looking and semi-considering asking for a partial refund, but I don't think it affects function so for the price I will probably just let it slide.

Also tested to see if they would fit the Infiniti copy I got from Auber and it does surprisingly. Once again it barely fits as the retaining nut barely screws on, but since you can move the piece the dish rests on this would probably be a doable option for people with a thicker flat coil. Need to do a bit more testing on this before I can recommend this option as safe as I dunno if the retaining nut is on tight enough to prevent it from coming off accidentally. More testing complete don't think it will come off.

As far as the taste goes it is very nice and definitely enjoying the more open airflow compared to the quartz enail from hyman quartz. The taste seems a lot better than the Hyman but I dunno if that is because it is fresh as I remember the Hyman one tasting better before. Still some pooling, but the dish is big enough to q-tip out. Also only tried up to 666 so far so there might be less pooling at a higher temp. The dish is bit big so I don't have a great carb cap for it. The standard titanium one I have rests pretty good on top, but you basically have to hold it there.

Will try to update with pics and the height of my flat coil later. Hard to call it a must buy without more research, but I am definitely glad I took the risk.

Edit: measured my coil and it is around 4.5mm thick/tall. Also feel better about recommending it for the infiniti copy as I think the nut might screw on more than the nail it comes with. Phone camera acting up and not really much light for pix. Tomorrow I guess.

Thats interesting because those knock offs use a different thread pitch than the HE stuff. Thats why I had to buy another HE after I had JUST given mine away.

Ya I had heard that and was frankly surprised when the nut screwed on, but I guess there's only so many thread sizes.

Interested to hear your continued feedback. Looking to potentially add this to a cheap enail I recently purchased. Which brand flat coil are you using?

Came with the Auber rdk 200 which I bought December 2014 hard to say if they have ever switched types. Will check for a brand when I get home. Would definitely recommend it even if you need to order the Infiniti copy as well to use as a base. Pretty sure I prefer that base because it should keep the joint cleaner due to being direct inject whereas the base of the quartzti nail is just a female joint. Even ordering both the nails should be about 40 bucks (maybe more like 60 with a carb cap) compared to 200ish for the dnail. Not trying to claim that they're on par but I think that the Chinese one gets relatively close.

First pic is the base it came with, the others are the Infiniti copy. Last pic is a size comparison to the large dish of the Infiniti copy.

While I was taking these pics I noticed that the 2 dishes I ordered are actually slightly different heights, and the centre hole is also a different height. Because of this the taller dish won't allow the flat coil to be screwed onto the titanium factory nail. Still fits fine on the Infiniti copy so I guess a big buyer beware to those without the Infiniti copy. If a mod could edit the last paragraph into my initial post from yesterday I would appreciate it.

Relatively close as compared with which other product out of interest? Have you ever used the d-nail quartz halo? I have only seen you compare the Hyman quartz to the Dualti knock-off above in this thread. If you have not used a d-nail halo: what is the basis for saying that this nail gets relatively close?

I'm not meaning to bust chops but this needs clarification. I agree that this is probably one of the better cheap China nails one can get right now so long as one can find the matching infiniti knock-off as you say (hell it is the only knock off of a next-gen nail I can think of too! Flat coil instead of barrel will make a difference as you've no doubt noticed).

Still, at the moment you are saying that as it arrived, the nail was useless as an enail for you (couldn't fit with the coil) without bringing in parts from another knock-off you bought over a year ago (which may still be available as you say).

Now man that does not sound comparable with the d-nail halo (never heard of any of these getting to customers that won't fit with the coil) which was where the original r&D work was done (whether or not you care about that - we can't escape that this is a major part of the cost of bringing this kind of product to market and will necessarily drive up retail costs of the product); has the wik surface, is considerably larger, works as described/pictured with compatible bases and has thicker, better polished quartz to boot.

That is all worth the extra funds in my view but that is a personal decision of course.

Regardless of personal spending decisions though (and I agree that this could be a much better quartz option than currently available for those who can't afford the full-price product), I can't see a close comparison between the d-nail and China knock offs aside from the clear fact that one was a knock-off (of a knock-off) of the other.

You are kinda twisting my words as it was workable as e-nail when I ordered it because I ordered two dishes. I feel like relatively close is a fair assumption despite never having used the d-nail halo, if I had I would quantify it more specifically. I am gonna try hard to be civil, we get it you like d-nail a lot. No need to jump down my throat or read it as saying it is as good.

Using this nail definitely made me think the whole wik concept is hype as dabs explode around this nail. If a nail is the proper temperature your dab is probably gonna spread around. When you come down to it quartz is quartz regardless of if it is for superconductors or how it is finished (and thickness doesn't really matter when it has constant heat and a replacement is $5). Keeping this in mind I estimate the Chinese nail is at least 80% as good as the d-nail halo, maybe more but I don't really feel comfortable saying that without trying the d-nail.

What you call R&D I consider just an idea. A retaining nut is not some major breakthrough in my eyes and if it is then d-nail are bigger thieves for using replacement dishes on concentrate nails from whomever came up with that.

Could someone elaborate for me the advantages and disadvantages of convection heating for dabbing? I'm really leaning towards the Liger v2 over a D-Nail quartz halo but need to know more before pulling the trigger. A $200+ setup needs some thinking before purchasing :D

EDITED: Decided response was better in PM.

Sorry for any derail, I'm outta this thread as recently comments have strayed too often towards personal criticisms rather than the topic at hand.

To everybody else: PM me if you have any questions/want my input about enail stuff.

All the best to each of you.

Sorry but this is why you have been accused of being a shill. I am not accusing you of being one but it is just getting a bit tiring. Someone asked about a cheap e-nail and I said something perfectly reasonable. Anyone who reads a page or two of this thread will come across you proselytizing why d-nail is the only nail. You could maybe tone it down a tad. I did not say they were equal.

I am running mine at 620 which I seem to recall reading is what you run your quartz halo at and it works great yet there is no wik. I suppose my statement regarding the wik could be misconstrued as it definitely makes me think it is hype I didn't say I know it is, I am totally open to being proved wrong. Yet I am running the same temp and everyone's quartz halos also seem to have trails. I would love to see a comparison test between a quartz halo as sold by d-nail and one of theirs that is the same shape/thickness but no wik and just flame polished. I wouldn't be surprised if the difference was negligible. I am perfectly willing to concede I could be wrong, but in every industry companies invent products and features and come up with explanations why they are the best ever. The wik/fancy quartz finish seem kinda like that to me.

Also regarding quality control on the dishes at least those cost 5 bucks unlike the smelly bases that d-nail is sending people.

I don't have a problem with you but D-nail is not some damsel whose honour you have to defend and not everything needs to become a D-nail commercial.

My input on the whole D-Nail halo bit... This is the only place, online or off, that puts DNail halo on a pedestal and praises it beyond belief. I appreciate quality products, especially in function, but the extent some people go to make sure you KNOW YOUR PLACE when referring to a nail setup... lol this is all new to me.

Anyway, I hope someone can help me out with my last post ^?

Ever been to a headshop? They sell brand name stuff for a reason generally. My nice headshop sells only dnail brand e-nails.

As for the wik no one thinks I'm a shill, I'll flat out say wik works. I can take a dab and hold it to one place and watch the oil spread itself around my sapphire insert. If that matters to you or not I cant tell. But it works. Is it game changing? Not for me, but I see value in it. I also see value in D-Nail customer service BIG TIME from my personal interactions. Cant say everyone else will agree, but mine has been great.

I've owned or used a bunch of cheaper nails and heaters. If you are serious you will probably eventually want the higher end stuff. Or if you aren't picky at all maybe not.

I suspect this will be highly personal. Some people think a Lexus is an over priced Toyota. Both are cars that do the job. Others think why not get one made to higher standards if I use it every day.

No one is wrong really.
