I hope it's not that long, but if it is, that little f*cker better works perfectly forever.

Fingers crossed right?

Must have taken another much deserved holiday at the lab.. I mean they DID confirm all backers addresses last week.

To me this address confirmation milestone is a slap in the face. Sounds like a big step, but so doesn't a production rate of 100/day. There's just not enough solid evidence to prove that is true. These guys are masters at making it sound like something is actually happening, but according to their own numbers, 500 hoppers should have been built since I verified. Obviously not the case because we would see some shipping.

Please GHL, just stop for a second take a break, do some REAL math (you ARE engineers), and put out an honest account of what is going on. Unless they are all breaking, I'd assume we should be getting ahead by now. I'm hoping by the end of February they come off this hiatus they seem to be on, but again I've hoped that for a couple years now.

If it wasn't for their damn updates telling me its coming every two weeks, I'd probably have forgotten.:myday:

Glad you heard back, still waiting on a response, honestly I don't care about the scratches mine came with at this point, hoping they just send me the new backend, really hate shipping things back.

Yeah I know, i'll swallow the $20 to ship back but if I have to go through it again i'll have to start rethinking how much this vape is really worth to me. I was informed that I can add a battery and extra silicone tip to have shipped back with my repaired or replaced GH, and when I asked if they would waive the $15 shpping I have not heard back since (only been since friday though).

Reports in the GH thread of unanswered emails as well. I agree, as anal as I can be, i'd look over any scratches or imperfections as long as it functioned properly. Good luck with just getting that back end shipped out....it's possible, but not probable IMO. I can totally see why too, I was sure the problem was the backend, but I suppose it's possible it's the body too. 8 biz days to get there from here, and probably the same back. I'm sure it will be worth the wait!

I'm not trying to start anything or argue over semantics but GHL did say that they could make/build 100/day but they never said they could or would be SHIPPING 100/day. They also said that it takes 75 min to build each hopper but they never said what all that 75 min includes. Is that just the process in which they put it together or is that from start all the way through quality check, boxing and packaging? All I am saying is we don't know what the entire process includes and just because they can build 100/day isn't the same as they are capable of shipping 100/day. I know it is frustrating but I now understand why they have been so bashful about sharing numbers... Because people try to use those numbers to create a narrative. We asked for numbers and they gave us numbers but those numbers don't tell us enough to say what GHL should and shouldn't be doing. Their build rate is only one piece of the puzzle and all we see is the end result but it's great to know that the end result is a kickass vape (insert joke about, "when it works"). I wasn't a backer but that's only because I didn't have the funds at the time (poor college kid) but I am one of the earlier pre-orders (12/27) and I am 3 weeks past my year anniversary, it's frustrating I know but I am still in this for the remainder because it's been this long so why not.

Also, side note; the only reason I don't worry about them folding and the fail rate is because wouldn't GHL be trying to convince people not to cancel if GHL was worried? The refund process seems very easy and if they were that worried wouldn't they be trying to stop as many refunds as possible? It doesn't seem to me that they are even attempting to change people's minds that much when it comes to refunds. They offer to refund if a person emails them and that person says that they are having trouble waiting. That doesn't sound like a company that is hemorrhaging money. Just my justification for sticking out the wait.

Actually someone posted on Reddit a couple of months back that they DID try to talk them out of a refund, by saying they should just hold on because they would be receiving theirs soon. And remember, that was a preorder, none of whom have even received an address conformation yet. A single example, I know....

Most people (who bother to worry about such things) DO think that their "repeated misguided optimism" serves the purpose of keeping the cash flow up with new orders and stopping people from bailing out and asking for refunds.

It looked like people were talking emails and refunds in the other thread. I will repond here

I emailed GH labs over the weekend and complained about estimates and asked for a refund for my leather case. Still awaiting a response

I understand the need to be flexible with their numbers, but why would they make 100, then ship 50? After two years their margin of error should be less substantial, even with "estimates".

I'm simply trying to find the truth amongst all the updates because what we are seeing is nowhere close to what they claim. Then an update saying they verified all backers addresses? All that means is they sent a handful of emails. Really not that exciting to me especially after the roller coaster we've been on for two years.

Ok, pure speculation, here goes, a lot of this is rehash from what others have said in these 116 pages of posts: Parts may be consumed by warranty service thus vulchering from units available to ship. Their failure rate #s can be interpreted many ways to not be false, for example, maybe they are not counting multiple failures with one customer as more than one failure.

But who knows what the real truth is. Somebody somewhere does know, but they're not saying here.

So I heard back, and I am a bit annoyed, firstly I was sent a broken unit, it did not break from using it, it came dented and scratched also as icing on the cake, and now I have to pay to ship it back....yeah that's nice, so much for being one of the first backers. Honestly I don't have money to shove around....especially when I see people sending them in multiple times. :cuss:

I honestly can't see it being anything but the backend after reading the other various units issues on these forums.

If everything goes dark tomorrow we shouldn't be shocked basically, once the cow stops milking basically, is that what you might be hinting at? :tinfoil:

But they ar not refusing your warranty claim? I hope they return a new, unblemished gh.

Warning point for attacking GHL
That's completely fucked up to send you a dented one. And then make you pay to ship it back to them.
Are the people who work there just burnouts, or what?

Oh, and remember when they sent someone one that was not only used, but actually still had weed remnants in it?!

FUCK. Looks I may have to seriously consider listing mine on eBay when it gets back from the Lab. Some shit i've been reading lately is simply not cool..... not the dates and whatnot, but you receive a blemished and dented GH and they don't even replace it????

As for the weed remnants..... they did say they test it for vapour output! LMAO! Then again, Arizer did the same thing with a warrantied Solo....came back with remnants in it. Pretty unprofessional!

Actually it came with multiple scratches, and what looks like a burn on it, and a indent in one part. I posted photos a while back from when I got it....

So when you told them about all of this, they flat out refused to replace it? What about offer a discount? It's a blemished unit! Tell them you didn't buy some scratches with a GH around them!

I don't blame you! Not for me either... if it wasn't stumbling over the GH that basically fell into my lap, I think i'd wait for RETAIL release. Maybe it would be different if I wasn't across the border, but international shipping (or shipping just in general) isn't cheap, and based on what i've read, it's completely possible to RMA more than 1!

They actually said the exact opposite. Here's a quote from the most recent update.
"Over the last couple of months we’ve gone from shipping just a few units per day to over 100."

Just setting the record straight.

You are absolutely correct!! I misread the info, sorry everyone. My mistake. Thank you for correcting me and putting out the correct info. Again sorry to every body.

Not a single preorder has reported here or on Reddit that they've even received an address confirmation, much less had their GH shipped. And yet, weeks ago, there were only 300 backers still waiting?
Obviously, either the amount of backers waiting, and/or their prediction of shipping 100 a day
was just more of their trademark "misguided optimism". Or are the 100 they can ship each day ALL going out as warranty replacements?

Mines still going strong, at least!

Yes, you have yours and yet here you are in the shipping thread, still taking cheap shots at GHL. Calling them burnouts is insulting and is against our Be Nice rule. We also have a rule against company-bashing and your track record with sly remarks and sarcasm is abysmal. You've earned a warning point.

also you have to consider that one backer maybe ordered more then only one hopper... and if you consider that vape shops like vapefiend and so on also backed and ordered more then one gh...

Perhaps I am off base on this, but why would those who pre-ordered need to confirm their address? It makes sense with the backers. Kickstarter/Indiegogo accounts always confirm the address. If I order something from a website, doesn't my billing/shipping address pretty much do that?

I ask because, maybe there isn't going to be an address conformation anymore. We may be up in arms about something that won't actually happen. I'd still expect to see SOME sort of email with tracking information.
