The Lotus Vaporizer

I can't agree more on that!!! I had my whole metal part in ISO for one night, taste today was like I was vaping a different vaporizer. Fully manual use even with very little portions and very dense clouds indeed.... amazing shit....

This is my green machine. This thing RIPS. I lay out bong-freaks with this. Roll some top shelf bud in homemade ABV QWISO... pack a .05 and get it. Fucking epic...

Woooow!!! That one looks really handy, cool and most of all powerful!! :D
Do you have some kind of special water filter that you have your flower on or is it made it like that?
edit: although I've made some recent shopping, where could I find something similar? :p

Hi guys! Let me introduce you my lotus' carved version.
I prefer the warm sensation of the wood rather than the metal stem... That's why I tried an alternative version...

That's lovely; looks similar to the stem that Ed made for me. I'd be interested in one if you start making 'em.

I was talking on my mobile phone while vaping, must of got a bit sloppy and burnt the wood on my Lotus cap. Still works obviously but I am sad. How many of you have done this?

I'm so close to purchasing a Lotus (or Vapman), but worry I'll damage/mar it before I master the technique. Smoking out of a pipe has been my preferred method, but these devises are so unique, I know I would be upset.

quit thinking about it, get the lotus, come back on and report.

I think it is all what you are used to, and my friends that are bowl smokers- fall into the lotus perfectly, it will bust your lungs more than you can imagine. You will not damage the cap. You can brown it with the torch if you are not paying attention and aim at the wood, but other than that it is a pretty bombproof zombie apocalypse style, vape that works all the time and regardless if you have electricity.... just like your bowl.

Used my original cap for well over a year and then it got burned when I looked away for a second while a stranger at a bar torched it good. Damn, pissed me off. My black one has been abused a bit but it doesn't show as much. My beautiful high-temp cap succumbed to torchery within a week by my own hands. I'm thinking of dusting off the hobby lathe I have and seeing if I cant restore it. Anybody know what finish they use on the natural caps?

I'm not sure but I've heard Linseed oil for most wooden vapes. Good luck!

Iv been lurking here a while now, was right on the verge of buying a lotus, I like traditional hashes and the idea of a torch vape, but the last few posts have really put me off now...

I'm a pretty obsessive, ocd ish kind of person.
The things I treasure, I get very obsessive about,

I bought a spare extreme q just as a back up incase the other one gets inperfect in any way..

I don't know if I could handle burning the lotus... it wouldn't be perfect then..
I'm sure this makes sense to no one, but I think it's a deal breaker for me...

It makes sense, flames can be dangerous and you can possibly burn yourself as well as your vape. However these vape burns are merely scorch marks and just change the vapes appearance. If you're using a small single jet flame and paying attention you should be fine. I haven't burnt or scorched myself or my cap since my first Lotus and even then it was bc of my torch being too powerful. The Lotus is a great vape and with a tiny bit of practice and your respect, it will amaze you!

My Lotus has a black scorch mark that doesn't affect performance. The mark just reminds me to be more careful and mindful.

From my experience I can just recommend the Lotus. 1st on my line up if I would have to choose one. Over 2 years serving me well I can't name all the times fell off my hands...people walking on it even ! I used different flame based vape and have tried others as well.
I have one newer&unused spare Lotus (with serial N°) just cause I was in love, wanted a spare one. Just in case I would need to have a clean vape. Since that one is "fresh & clean" I decided to not clean the original one and it get a special finish, see on picture. Only once after a few months I cleaned the plate with some alcohol.

I used my original plate for over a year. I changed it with one from the so called "weak" batch and that one is still going good to my surprise. Sometimes I thought I was close to the end (small bright point when heating : don't go over it ), but it's not there yet. So at least 6 month for that one.

@kellya86 Also Mendocino Therapeutics sell a beautifull protective pouch ! Some pictures for your OCD down there : that Lotus plate and ring, etc.. isn't cleaned at all ! It could be more shiny ;) You know, this vape will handle heat good, you can't really break it, I wouldn't be as scared as with electronics concerning failure and issues. The performance will blow you, trust ! I had EQ as 1st station ;) .

I'm planing to get the High temp version for sure !

Is there a picture with all High Temp parts dissasemble ? This interest me a lot and I can't remember have seen one ?
Some one can do it ?
Or @Max Jitter have this ?
*EDIT * : found the picture on MT website, but can't post it here ... So the everything is held by the 3 screws ?
Edit : homework done. Found picture on MT website !

Lotus aficionado !

Makes sense to me. That was my same concern last night but FC Community put me at ease. So ordered my Lotus today (Hi-temp cap, long stem, WPA)!

So I decided to change my lotus plate after around a year of use. I must admit that my poor lotus cap has been a little bit tortured in the very beginning due to lack of experience and to improper use under different drug effects and conditions at certain times :p

And here is what the interior looked like!!!
118.jpg

I must say that the look of the black burned-ish colour did disappoint me a bit, but the existence of pure thc crystals on the very 1st layer on top of the screen that you can see, did make me feel better. You can see that it is not burnt at all there. Do I need to worry about this at all or is it something that normally happens if you do burn it the wrong way for some time?
For example at the beginning I thought that you have to burn all around the actual plate inside the flower and not only in the middle of it. Maybe this is the reason of all this burnt stuff. You may also notice that the cap has been burned on two spots outside the "circle" of the plate, which happened when I was in a state that I could not calculate distances properly :p and I had to see some smoke coming off the wooden part of the cap to realize that something goes wrong.. :p :(

This is how it looked like with only the top plate:

Unfortunately there has been some distortion from imageshare for reducing the size.

Other than that, I have to say that Lotus is an excellent surgical-portable vaporizer that the more you get to know it, the more it has to give to your buzz...

I don't usually quote miself :p but since I've had it happened I felt the need to re-share it with you.. They're there to remind you of that silly moment that you had your beloved Lotus accidentally marked! I've been very careful since then though, so that's something positive at least. :peace: :)

Good lad!!! Trust me, you won't regret a penny that you spent on it. Btw, welcome to FC, happy vaporizing and long live the Lotus!! :science::freak::sherlock:

Excuse my ignorance but why is it all black, burned and cracked on the inside of your cap???

Have you been breathing smoke from the wood?

I leave my WPA on a waterpiece.
GonG's are the lamest accessory made.

The LOTUS has the best made water adapter known to the human race! Why are the other vaporizer companies so lame?

My LOTUS is all torched out however it still gets be medicated beyond reason.

Value wise I'd say it's pretty awesome.

I just had a strain called "sky walker og" in the LOTUS.
Fc 278 & a UFO setup no pain now!
IS that so bad?

Best wap hands down!

Hey guys, I've recently been cleaning my glass with PBW. Would it be safe to use that to clean my Lotus WPA? Or would it mess up the O Rings or something?

Edit: wow, just realized the person above me asked almost the Same question...

@grokit is the WPA made of aluminum as well?
