Quick Q
Is the screen in the screen in the nylon stem removable?
If so, is it easy to put back in? And how do you judge the distance when pushing it in?
If not, what the best way to clean the little flecks stuck in the screen out? Usually torch my screen but don't think be a good idea if I can't get the screen out.

@hackslasher ,Yes, the the nylon SS tip stems basket screens are pressed fit. Use a meat skewer or chop stick to push it from the back end and out of the stem. I then wash the screen and stem with ISO alcohol, then rinse with water and air dry. When I purchased new basket screens, Under Dog sent me a little wooden dowl that I use to reinsert the sceen back into the SS tip. You can adjust the depth any way you want . If you want a small one hitter, just barley put it in. If you want a bigger load, push the screen in farther. Hope this helps!

Has anyone tried one of the china wall-warts found on ebay? I found one for under $2. Does anyone know if they work and are dependable? Or is the Jameco Reliapro sold on the UD website a lot better? This would be to use with an Aromadog. I also have one of those cheap black inline dimmers.

Here's the wall-wart I'm looking at:

Any feedback is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hey, UD and I have both replied via PM. Thanks!

My underdog Mini doesn't seem to heat up all the way to vaporizing temperatures. The normal one heats up just fine with the same plug. Anyone have a reason as to why this could happen?

I need to crank my mini's above the regular wall wart voltage if using the stem that goes around the OD of my dog. When I'm using the stem that goes in the ID I don't really need to adjust the voltage.

I think it has to do with the overall mass of the vape and how it retains heat. All dogs are most definitely not the same.

The Minis run considerably cooler than our current generation regular Dogs since they still use the standard resistors instead of our custom stainless heaters. Should be enough heat to vape with the Nylon Stems and NonGs but may need a VVPS to push the glass stems (Mini wasn't really intended for these). :peace:

Contact Underdogette if you think your Mini isn't running right and she can help get you squared away and/or figure out what's up.

Oh man, you guys are definitely keeping us busy! We've sold out again on Holiday Vapes. I thought for sure we had made enough to last the rest of January, but you guys wiped us out on the first weekend! We are working on more, and should have a batch of Birch Air Cores ready soon. Don't worry, everyone who wants to grab a Holiday Vape should get the chance. :)

You all have no problem using the minis w/ wall wart and nylon stems? I get no visible vapor when using the mini with the wall wart (material color doesn't change). I have the china battery pack and dial up to 13v but still barely any visible vapor, almost a negligible increase. When i touch the mini it feels hot, about as hot as my standard core gets.

What voltages are you all going up to with the minis? Currently I only have the capability of going up to 13v, trying to find a good cheap VVPS to go higher, but hearing that the nylon stem works with the wall wart is definitely different from my experience.

My mini's don't get as hot (loads are typically a shade or two lighter than my big dogs), but they work fine with the WW & Nylon stem in my experience

@HellsWindStaff about how long do you let your mini heat up?

Wrong guy to ask kind of in regards to this, about an hour lol, but it's like that with damn near all my desktops. I get home from work, plug in an Underdog, flip on the EVO/Herbalaire. Then I unwind, get changed, take a shower, eat, get any house errands done & usually watch some TV and/or browse the news/internet. Then I realize, hey I haven't vaped yet and start getting to it.

Probably would be good after a half hour, but the longer the time the better IMO for most vapes, I tend to draw hard so I like taking advantage of the high thermal mass on my desktops :)
