Look what arrived in the post today. OG is for my buddy up the road.
I placed an order for a 'Builder Kit' and I also got a Ti glass and a free lighter.
Many thanks George a very nice surprise.
This is one of a couple of threads that has that good vibe going on and it's going to be fanfukintastic to be part of it.

@ZC love the stainless.
@shark sandwich that case is fantastic

A massive LIKE to all who posted videos.

I've got the wood burning stove cranked up, a nice collection of herb, and will be shed bound for some time.

Exactly! That's what the carb is for IMO, to clear just like a bowl.

Seeing how the air is introduced into the body of the vape and not through the cap. I feel you're losing vapor rather than gaining airflow. If the majority of the air is coming through the carb and not the cap you're just roasting the shit out of your load and sucking in unmedicated air lol. This is just my feeling on this matter.

To add air flow, I slightly bent my cap so it doesn't fit so perfectly. I'm not telling anyone to do this in fear of ruining it but that's my solution.

This vape works on a bit of a different principle. The venturi creates a low pressure point by the bowl screen inducing vapor from the herb chamber.

Been putting a lot of love on my TI woody the last few days, George helped me out and gave me some instructions on getting my O ring back in place, was a little finnicky but he's in their all good! He was working pretty good without the O ring in the body truth be told, but the mouthpiece/ss condenser was starting to move down the wooden body a bit. Good as new though! :)

I also told George in PM and I'm sure it's been said here, but I REALLY dig the click. Despite me combusting, this has had the lowest learning curve in my experience with butane vapes. It's good to go when it clicks! If you go past it, you risk combusting! I've been able to get varying degrees of thickness by heating more towards the bowl or more towards the middle/end of the cap. But I always know that its good to go when it clicks!

With regards to the carb talk, I still keep it closed throughout most of my hit, with intermittent clears. It has grown on me a lot actually, it's pretty unique I feel in this regard! I was wondering exactly what is going on. Obviously some conduction (To my knowledge heat towards the bowl more often then not as well so I assume it is happening), but it tastes convection good! But the total lack of freeflow drawing with it closed had me wondering what is going on. Kind of like creating a little pressure vacuum, wonder that attributes to the vapor tasting so good, I tend to keep it closed and draw on it for a pretty long time between clearing, but when I'm drawing it feels like I'm not inhaling any air really, but its a good thing and a cool experience IMO

Will have to try some concentrates in it, seems like only good things :)

So I placed my order knowing full well I would have to wait in line with everyone else and as I said to George my BK would arrive when it does.
Whilst sitting in 'Waiting Patiently Land' I had to do something to relieve the mounting pressure in my over active mind.
Armed with a set of Vernier calipers and with a bit of info. from George I set about a couple of bits of apple. I studied pictures and zoomed in and out until I could scale the VC and work out some sizing.
First job I wanted to do was a wooden sleeve with some holes in so you could see the glass but as I finished the last bit the little piece of apple gave up on me. Not to be down hearted I fitted a new MP and tried to file in a 'barley twist'. What was going to be a sleeve now became 'Le Pain Rustique' or 'The Baguette' as @Ruta coined it.

This one started as a sleeve and ended up this way. Some suggested a window type affair. I personally don't like it. I think the sleeve looked better before. I have a much better idea for the see thru portion.

The idea for this one was a bit of nostalgia, for some of us at least. No idea there was a hole in there until it appeared and really it should have been binned. But I like it, it's honest and IMO adds to the look.

Got to work out a way to hold the darker top in place and a small darker MP is going to be fitted, it just finishes it off. I may have to pick the brains of the wood meister himself, @Dan Morrison, about the best ways to get it right. Luckily for me I have a 5mm internal tube to work with which will make it easier but it's the tighter than tight joint that has me thinking now.
I will be using the 'Chillum' once it's finished it sits right in my hand when twisting and the little bit of extra length will hopefully cool the vapor a bit. It will be my VCDD.
To coin a phrase that I had forgotten about until recently 'Shits and giggles'.
More to come.

Sorry if this has been answered before, but has the problem with the wooden Vapcaps been fixed?

I'm really interested in getting the Blackwood (after loving the OG Vapcap), but I don't want to order it yet until I know that the wood isn't going to split.

Just love all of these except the broken one maybe, great carving skills. Seems to me this perfect vape for modding out to your own liking :)

I thought I had read that the whole vapcap could be soaked in iso, so I soaked it all the other night except the actual cap. The next day when I removed it the mouth piece had gone a grey colour and became a lot harder.

So to anyone else, avoid soaking the mouth piece in iso!

I'll just order a few mouth pieces when I have funds to order a ti glassy :D

I would never soak any plastic, rubber, or silicone in ISO. I'd damp a cloth or q-tip with ISO and give those pieces a quick wipe n you should be good. I'd remove the orings on the tip too before soaking. Just my opinion on the matter. And most definitely 100% don't soak the wood ISO if that wasn't apparent already.

I've been using my Tiglassy 'out of the padded envelope', using the lighter I got from George. Medium grind and straw/vacuum method. I use this little tool that came with my Xmax and give each bowl a lite tamp.

A couple of times the click wasn't quite evident or I got distracted or wasn't concentrating and it's 'bush fire' time. Cotton bud, Q tip, and vodka was my first clean up operation, iso was outside and it's fukin cold, took my ceramic back to white and removed nearly all the burnt flavor from the condenser. Iso works best. I've caught it before inhaling and just open the burner door and blow it in, no smoke in the tube or me.

So last nights session with @Ruta saw us turn into a pair of Vapcap flavor whores. Instead of a 3 or 4 click bowl I managed at least 7.
Heating right below the disc, about 3mm above the inner flames, steady spinning.
Disc is in the center of the flame. First click, quick to come, very light in flavor and no vapor. Click 2 and 3, great flavor with light wisps. Click 4 to 5, I move the flame towards the center of the cap. All nice hits plenty of taste and good vapor production. My last clicks can sometimes make me sit back and think 'Oh shit I burnt that'. I have the flame at the digger end.
It's like doing high temp hits on my conduction vape and a bit more. Empty it out and no signs of any charring. Coffee color.

Last nights session began with a bowl full each of kief, @1DMF, the flavor was fanfukintastic and the vapor production just kept coming. This is something you have to try. A bit messy inside the bowl after but well worth the go. Iso and cotton bud fix.

First impressions. I can't fault it. The click makes for ease of use for both noobs and butane vets alike. You can 'temp step' for flavor by heating the disc end or you can heat at the digger end and get some really thick vapor.
Hats off to George, @VapCap, the VC is a really simple and fun device to use.

Thanks for the likes and words of encouragement.
More to come.

What's the hit like from 100% pure keif, I assume it's pure THC city?
I think my phrase for the start of last night was 'Well that's wankered me'.
The bowls started of full and ended up empty just some gunge round the outside and on the ceramic screen. You look in and wonder where it's all gone. Really really tasty. I can see my kief stash diminishing fast with the Vapcap.

I love how the carb on the woodie sleeves are a lot closer to your mouth.

I find it so easy to just to dip the vapcap down as I'm hitting it and the bottom of my lip will cover the carb.

Just rather than trying to get a feel for it with my finger.

I can't say I like my regular glass cap anymore, I tested some max VG juice in it and 99% ISO doesn't even seem to be doing the trick

It's not god awful and will be a okay back-up but I'm too much of a flavour snob to want to use it now.

This TI tip is just too good :)

I still haven't combusted, using hash,
I take it right to the limit but never combust
This is my favourite vape for a quick hit
Is just like holding a cigarette, having to watch the hot end etc

The anticipation for my Ti/glassy is killing me. George said he'd be mailing it Monday and has been out of communication all week. I know he goes on a short hiatus now and again, but I can't stop thinking Triihouse and it makes me nervous. Please be just busy, @VapCap !

@phattpiggie where'd you grab your magnets?

Last nights session left me a little hazey this morning. Silver Hazey.
Now I've filled my lighter I've pulled the flame back to about 10/12mm, 1/2". It's a bit ferocious now it's full right up.
As you do I decided to run a bowl at full bore at 3mm. Started at the disc end again. Had the cap cherry and still only a slight wisp and flavor on the first click, so carried on thru the bowl.
My final click heated close to the digger was full on. I thought I had done it again this time.
Emptied it out and the load was black but no ash. And no combustion after taste at the time or now in the VC.
Going to keep an eye on the gas and keep flame at 1/2", a bit to close for comfort now with a full lighter.
Magnets. I got ones with a 2kg pull, 10mm diameter 5mm thick they work a treat. Just over £3/$5 for 10.
@ragnorokk I got them form Spider Magnets on Ebay
