Is buying the Myrtlezap now better than waiting for the PD?

New user, but not new to vapes. I bought an Easy vape digital a couple years back and I actually thoroughly enjoyed it (despite its "Made in China" reputation). After many broken bowls I ended up using the bowl and whip from my sisters Extreme Vaporizer and it worked GREAT for some reason. Alas, the cord for it has been fraying for a few months and it died the other night.

Sooo, I need a new vape. The extreme was tempting for a while - it hits great and has a lot of functionality. But I want to conserve, not blast through my tobacco. Finally decided on the Purple-Days Vaporizer, but discovered its horrible (yet justified) waiting period. Researched the Myrtlezap a good bit and learned about its brass usage, fluctuating temps, and 90 day warranty - so I was discouraged from it a good bit.

But dammit all, I want a PD so badly that I might be tempted to get the Myrtlezap just to not have to wait the dreaded unknown amount of time. I don't have the money to drop 180 bucks and not get a relatively quick return and going that long without a vape would be pretty hard. But would it be worth it to wait and get the PD?

Thanks for your help guys.

Also, if anyone just so happens (by the grace of GOD) to be selling a used PD, definitely hit me up.

Then why ask us "what vape should I get". It sounds like you have done your homework on the pd/a-zap. That statement alone "(yet justified) waiting period" lets me know that you can decide for yourself. Patience pays!

3 year warranty vs. 90 day

:/ ...

Might want to look into a vapor genie or launch box while you wait for the PD to arrive :brow: the vg is $54 and the LB is around $100 (with a new set of batteries/charger)

It's defiantly worth the wait. Innovation is key in vaporizer design. Durability is a nice addition as well

...as is with ANYTHING

I haven't heard of the temperature thing either, will have to look.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I've read the MZ doesn't reach a high enough temperature to activate whatever bad shit brass can emit.

Creator, artisan and ZapMaster Rick is a pleasure to deal with. He promptly replies to e-mails and delivers quickly.

After having an MZ only a few days, so far, so (VERY) good.

I went through the same process in my mind when deciding what to buy. I ended up getting the MZ, had it about a month, and so far I love it more each day! Never heard of the heat problems, mine seems to work great.

I waited for the PD... well worth it. Now, I am debating getting a MZ also.... I know, many posters here would be appalled, like cheating on your wife. I want more stems. I want backup power cords. I want another similiar vape device for downstairs as upstairs. No more moving. Plus the MZ just looks rad. Brass isn't a huge concern of mine, used a brass protopipe for years at a much higher temp.

I bought the MZ while waiting for my PD. Then sold the MZ here on the boards. You really cant go wrong with either.

I said fluctuating temps because I read somewhere that the less fins and mass, the more likely the temp will fluctuate between draws.

I read also that the brass doesn't reach near a high enough temp for it to be a problem, but it is still in there.

Thanks for the welcoming and all the help guys! Haven't yet decided, but I'm getting more comfortable with the idea of getting the MZ. At least until I can get my hands on a PD...

OK, new vote. My opinion: Their is no limit to how many vapes a person can get.

That being said, nab a Zap now. Get a PD later. Probably the worst advice ever but this is coming from someone who has become obsessed with building a true vape collection.

Not the worst advice at all, considering that is exactly what I'm gonna do. :D

I currently have an Iolite. Placed and order for an MZ, and on the waiting list for PD.

Expensive hobby but it's a great way to figure out what works for you. I have a feeling my Iolite is going on sale after I get the MZ. Portable and stealth vaping is fun, but I noticed I only smoke joints when I'm outside and with friends. I vape indoors. The MZ and PD would be perfect for home.

I'm finding a similar feeling. I want one for the bathroom..
If I had a second floor, I'd want one there too.
AaaaRG. 24/7 instant gratification, plus they just look good.

That's why they pack them with the aroma flower and scented oil.
