I preordered with an estimate of December. Sent them an email and was told it would be January. Guess that was inaccurate too. I don't mind waiting but their lack of accurate estimations borders on unethical in my opinion.

I got the same email. The site Estimated december delivery when I pre-ordered in early october, In december I got the news that they would not be shipping until january... Great. I sent in an email to ask what was up a few days ago, still no reply and here we are in the middle of january. February next?, March?

You and me both, it was odd, I guess its on a case by case basis, or maybe Trevor didn't have his coffee yet and was in a funk? Either way I was literally the 40th backer and got treated like crap IMO.

I'm sorry to hear that , BUT , you should fight it .
You're def. getting unfair treatment !!!

I've posted this in other threads ,
How does one know if the vape works or not if
they don't USE it ???

Yeah, not sure, I mean I used it once(not even fully before I noticed the back end heating up) with high quality, cleaned it up nice, no trace of anything if they were concerned of the package being monitored...still kinda shits all over that life time warranty, it's just sitting in its box since...

Honestly it wasn't a pleasant vape, not gonna lie, was hot as hell, after thinking about it I feel like the herb chamber should have been more in the back of the device but thats a whole other conversation....

It seems like they don't know how to run a business, if it was me I would take funds, hire a crap load of people, spit them out like rapid fire, build the brand, advertise at local Colorado dispensaries, etc...take a hit to make it big and establish a real business.

Are you kidding, you really think it is easy to develop a product like the GH?

I don't even care anymore, direct quote from Trevor: "We are happy to replace them but if you use them we cannot take the back."

Just send it back, plenty of people have used them & sent it back. From a liability point of view they should say that it cannot be used as that would break federal law.

So would the vapor just pass through the battery?

Never said that...I just feel like they are taking a while to make this right, and people still haven't gotten them, they need to up production, obviously.

Sorry if it sounded harsh.

Yeah guess so just came off as odd, I probably should send it back, just not sure how that would go, been a while since my last interaction with them, I'll get back with you guys on what the outcome is, still trying to settle down to be honest

What? No, last I checked many vapes have herbs in the back without passing through the battery directly, the PAX is a well known one.

How the fuck would you know if it was broken unless you'd used it?
Unless you just took it out of the box and it was DOA.

I'm confused , ( nothing new )
but I've read people have been returning their failed GH back
after usages

I think there is some misconception going on here.... Was Trevor implying that you wanted a 'refund' perhaps? And that there are no refunds on previously used GH's regardless if they are working or not. I see zero reason why they wouldn't honour your lifetime warranty, even if USED. Funny, with my recent warranty claim with them, they just said to ship it back - they didn't even mention cleaning it!

WOW! Your experience is the complete opposite of mine. Although my only works intermittently on one temp (max) it has already completely changed the game for me after a decade of vaping exclusively through over a dozen high end devices! It's actually even a "habit changer" as posted by a member in the GH thread. You're right, it can get hot...but i find only with extended use....with quick rips here and there, it's fine!

You say that like it's a bad thing. Taking a while to make it right is probably the best strategy to take.... why not perfect it for the preorders?

No kidding, I just joined this thread, and i'm kinda glad, sounds like too much negativity from some know-it-alls.

Most of the negativity comes from the way they run the business, not the way they design vapes. Anyone who has watched it unfold for over two years knows what I'm talking about, the implausible claims over and over, the contradictory statements, the sheer "misguided optimism", the talking down of issues to keep the preorders coming in.... I could even go on, but that's probably enough.

I understand, it's just that it's unfortunate. GHL can do whatever they want, and whoever doesn't like their style, doesn't have to support them? Indigogo is Indigogo....... everything you indicated is not exclusive of any other company hyping and releasing with delays, BS, etc. I don't know, like I said I just got here to this thread, and have been around since the start of the campaign, and have a DOA SS GH going to sick bay, and all I can say is: I can't believe how fucking awesome the GH is! Only a very slight glimpse of it operating, but holy crap did it blow me away!

Anyways, back to the GH thread!

When we backed them on IGG, none of us knew how they would do when it was time to run an actual business. They kind of puffed up their qualifications and a lot of people thought they had more real world experience than they'd actually had.

Water under the bridge, they did deliver what they said they would. Except battery life is a small fraction of what they claimed during the funding period. I can live with that, but it's a great example of their "repeated misguided optimism".

All I'm saying is that people didn't just form opinions last week for no reason at all, it was a long time coming...

I know what you're saying, maybe it's because i've been so let down with SO many new vape promises, hype, etc. and now simply EXPECT disappointment. However, I know much of the crap in the thread I was a part of was whether it was even real and going to be released or not. Some very harsh critics have been shut up pretty quickly.

Wait until you need to process a warranty claim, and explain that your GH doesn't work at all, except on the very lowest setting gives vapour intermittently...... their reply was that it sounds like my GH is functioning correctly, and here are some tips and tricks to help! Customer service needs work (at this point anyway).

I never asked for a refund, as for too much negativity I have been plenty patient as I was an early backer(Around 40th, and followed this thread like a religion). And yes Trevor DID say if I used it he would not fix or replace it in our conversations, I can screen cap it if you insist, but I really have 0 reason to lie about this, I have just placed another warranty claim on the site, so we will see if second times a charm.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Taking a while to make it right is probably the best strategy to take.... why not perfect it for the preorders?

Once it gets to a point of multiple missed launches, delays, etc...it looks bad on a company and makes people not want to support it, I have seen companies fail for less, just my experience watching progress of multiple companies.

I only used it once, after two hits it burnt my lips, everyone's different though.

That we can agree on, they need better CS...

I hear ya, and if that's the case......WTF?? I believe you, and now understand your frustration. That in itself could kill the company.... I just can't understand that concept. What's the point of a lifetime warranty? Something still doesn't add up here, and like I said - they didn't even mention to clean it (like Arizer, S&B, and other companies do) before shipping it back. Like you, i'm hoping my 2nd one is the charm. If not, i'm not sure what i'm going to do.

True, I can't even believe the MiVape by vaporfection took 4 years of that! lol

I only used it once, after two hits it burnt my lips, everyone's different though.

True, at times that happened to me to, but sometimes it didn't.... I thought it was dependent on my usage, and I found that the silicone condom helps greatly.

You'll probably get your replacement before I get mine! Don't forget to write a note explaining what the issue is, even if you've already done that in email correspondence!

I didn't want to say anything in the GH thread, but their recent communication had me scratching my head, so I sent them a followup email explaining my frustration with their inconsistent customer service, so i'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if I hear back!

Yeah it threw me for a loop, I was like...so it's lifetime warranty only if I keep it framed on the wall unused?

Well let me know if it turns out good, would like some good news, all we really want is a working product here .
