@DDave if you come up with a DBV mod that handles a larger load than the one you are currently selling, feel free to PM me, as I don't check the boards here that often. I'm enjoying the mod as is, but would love to be able to pack more in :)

Ah, Airflow demonstrating that conditions are more important than volume in creating vapor. Nice job.
I know you suggest it is a two draw lung buster but old dog that I am, I like 5 or 6 sit and stirs with me not pressing the connection quite as tight for extended mini session. Fresh and flavorful, tasty with huge clouds.

Thanks for the input/feedback.

Am looking into a mod that will accommodate. In order to do so effectively, I need more of your vaping session parameters.

Questions:
* quantity/quality of herb in average session?
* grind? (grinder?)
* temperature? (approx dial setting)
* dry hits or water tool used?

@DDave With the regular setup, I usually have 2-3 sessions with the wand filled about halfway, with the temp set slightly past 12. I use a small bubbler, and a 3", 4 piece grinder. Quality of herb varies between good and very good.

With your mod, I pack the screen pretty good with a slightly lower temp and normally get a couple good hits out of it (plus a third decent one if I'm lucky). Then I refill it once or twice more :)

From the mod, you're getting the performance as designed.

I will weigh out a 1/2 filled DBV wand and see how it plays into a larger-volume mod.

Ya, it's not a huge deal, so I really wouldn't worry about it, unless there are others who are asking for the same thing. I don't actually smoke/vape with anyone else, so I don't have a direct means of comparison, but I'm pretty sure I have a higher tolerance to the stuff than your average person, so I'm probably just an outlier :)

So I've done some more testing with various strains since getting the SSV mod. I exclusively use this now as I get excellent results: I've determined I only need 0.1g of a good strain to get in great place, 0.3g to blast off to the moon. 0.1g is about 3 packs in the mod, I get two tasty, robust pulls before exhausting the pack.

This makes a quarter ounce last between 23-70 sessions, and with a good strain costing $90 on average, that's equivalent to $1.27-$3.81 a night.

Sweet!!

Wow I am liking the look of that!

Just curious are you planning on offering an upgrade kit of some sort for those of us who have your current ssv kit?

Which by the way has changed my whole vape line up and put the ssv back at the top as my go to vape! Very impressive stuff!

Thanks man!

There is no real way to utilize these on the SGG wand/HC is there? Or is this strictly the GG ones only?

No, I don't have a mod for the SGG at present.

This will work with either GG 18mm or regular 18mm heater covers.

Cool deal :D

This just gives me an excuse to get a handful of these for my SWMBOs son.

I bought him a DBV for Xmas.

He has since acquired another SSV and a Super to accompany it.
Good boy... Good errrrrr (man)

Hey @DDave , I'm not exactly sure which LSV mod I need...I can't even see a difference between the 1.75 and the 1.5, haha!
I want to be able to get that Log-Like effect, and so I know I need the metered GonG and the baskets that fit. I currently use the dome screens (as a basket) that many people use for the Arizer AIR, in my m2m and wand when I want the log-like efficiency/effect...Unfortunately, they tend to pop out and not burn so evenly because of how tiny they are, also making it impossible to stir. I know your GonG and baskets will fix this issue, but are the GonG's of the v1 different from the v1.75? Also can you stir with your setup well or will bud splash out?

Also, I would still like to be able to pull that screen out whenever I wish and be able to vape a deep bowl with friends, with a flat screen halfway down the GonG like the stock m2m setup...Is this possible with your metered GonG with the regular flat screens that come with the LSV? I leave that flatscreen in regardless if I'm vaping with a basket, just to make going from one to the other that much easier. I would hate to have to switch glass pieces just to get a deeper screen when I wish, although that really doesn't seem like a huge downside, just less glass the better.

And...Also again...I love that you have a smaller wand...It's one of the best changes to the LSV when you're in a small room. So this is something I would also wish to have in the kit I purchase.

Basically, to sum it up, and to help find the best kit for me...
I want a metered, up to date GonG that can hold the basket screens you make (maybe just the v1 will do?
I would like, but don't necessarily need, that smaller wand you make - but if I can't put a flat screen in it and pack it big every now and then for groups, it won't get much use.
I don't really care for a whip, as I do direct glass only
Do I really need the $30 kit or what do you think?

If you could just help clear up the things that I sort of indirectly mentioned in my text, if you can decipher it, that would be cool lol.

Why not just buy an Evo ELB or an Arizer eq basket screen, toss it in my m2m, and call it a day? Convince me! haha

Thank you a ton in advance by the way, and I look forward to purchasing something next week!

EDIT: just realized the $30 is the only one that comes with the whip adapter glass pieces. My mistake.

Hey @AJS

From reading this, save for the mention of the smaller wand, the metered M2M and 1/2 height baskets will give you the performance you seek.

The 18mm wands of the kits only use my basket screens (arizer baskets don't fit), no internal screens and no reduction in airpath. You know, I need to weigh out what these baskets can hold. I will do that today.

Will have that posted shortly so you can see if it meets what you need. (One thing to note in my weighing out of product, I vape only very dry product... moisture will affect weight quite a bit as a drop of water weighs a significant amount).

If you're still on the fence about the mods, maybe this will help you over. ;) These reviews are directly about the LSV, and are what my mods are all about...
ease of use, performance, economy (both in herb use and kit cost)...

To clarify, only the metered m2m can hold your basket screens + a regular screen for deep bowls?
Or neither the wand nor the metered m2m can?
Pardon my misunderstanding.

No worries.

Metered M2M holds 1/2 height screens snugly or my 18mm baskets (but a bit looser, as the screens are shaped differently to address different usages being either extreme economy or regular).

The Wands hold my standard baskets in quite tightly, by design, as they are most often removed and may be pointing downwards on more occasions. The 1/2 height baskets DO NOT fit the wands. Forcing will change their shape and performance characteristics.

Don't worry about the questions. keep em coming!
