They are still working on finishing the last of the backers. I hope to have mine sometime this week.

Order placed at 4:45pm MST on last day of campaign for SS + BAT. still haven't even received a address confirmation yet. Caroline insists it will ship before end of January tho. :shrug:

Hi there,

As I've been banned a few days I was wondering if anyone had news of the 1300GH/month that should be shipped really soon to the 300 last backers.

"Assembly over the last few months has gone much slower than anticipated due to parts revisions, the difficulty of the process, and delays with machinery and suppliers. Our current capacity stands at about 1300 Grasshoppers per-month, but as we mentioned previously, parts revisions and new machinery will be drastically increasing throughput."(november 2nd update)

At that rate, finishing off the backers would only take a week, even before the supposed speed ups.

Yet, here I am, still waiting. For an email from Caroline, or shipping comfirmation, whichever comes first.
Someone posted on Reddit about a purple Ti (which is what I'm waiting for) just shipping, so maybe my turn is coming up soon.

I backed on indiegogo Dec 12, 2013. You still have a bit of a wait.

According to the mid-December update, the new rate we have to go by is 75 minutes/Hopper. Take from that what you will.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just searched and found that you got your addy verification the same night as me! Woohoo!!

EDIT AGAIN: Did you pay to upgrade to priority shipping?

I got my Hopper today, and it's absolutely fantastic. I do have a few small criticisms, though:
  • The threads on my anodized unit are gritty; although it still threads smoothly and easily, it does so loudly.
  • There's a gap between the temp dial and clip ring that's larger than it could/should be. It doesn't wobble or anything, and I'm not too worried about it catching on something. A simple fix would be to make the ring a little taller. I'm going to email them and ask if this is intended, and if so, if there would be any issues with sticking a small O-ring in the space. I will also ask if doing so will void the warranty.
  • The length of cord after the transformer in the charging cable is so long that it has to be bent by the USB housing when it's in the retail box. It's an easy way to weaken an otherwise excellent quality cable. I haven't used the cable yet, and I only plan on doing so for emergencies (I have an external charger and 4 batteries), due to speculation of it playing a part in causing the red/blue flash.
All the pros that have been said before are true. You really don't realize how quickly this gets to operating temp until it's doing so in your hand. Even with the aforementioned cons, this device is an easy 10/10 in my book. It operates just as well as you want/need it to, and I really do think they met the expectations that were set in the original Indiegogo campaign description. Once you use this device, it becomes quite obvious that this is the reason for the delays; they wanted to meet the level of quality that they had promised us while remaining profitable. In my opinion, it was worth the time both for them and for us. I'm very excited to see what accessories they come up with, as I assume they will be of equal quality. Be patient everyone; it's worth the wait.

Yeah, you seriously can't compare the two

Replaceable batteries, near instant heatup times, better taste, and smaller size.

Can't think of anything that the Pax2 does better than the GH, except for reliability and some games built into the vaporizer.

We purchased the Grasshopper last week and emailed to ask for a realistic shipping estimate. The woman (Caroline) said March should be feasible. I am highly doubtful of this and am wondering whether I should cancel the order and go with the Crafty (for now)?

Depends, do you have any other vaporizers or is the GH your first vape?

If you have other vaporizers, I say wait in line for a Grasshopper. If you're really just curious about vaporizers and looking to 'test the waters', I suggest canceling your preorder since by march I'd hope they caught up on all outstanding orders!

"For now" implies there will be a "later", so if you think you'll want one, might as well get in line now.
Whether or not March is realistic, still the fastest way to get one...

True, but I'd want a vaporizer now. My Pinnacle Pro has stopped working, as has my Inhalater.

I'm contemplating the Crafty or the Air, but what I really want is a GH
