What is wrong with a small piece of cotton?

It works!

You speak the truth, however some people like to get fancy / can't get the hang of how much or how not to burn / singe the shit out of their cotton so it is an easier solution for many. I use cotton most of the time when I use a vape for concentrates, it's japanese organic cotton meant for wicking e-cigs so it's meant to stand up to fairly high temps and transfer flavor. A vast majority of the time however, I just grab the torch and heat the TI nail or quartz bucket (whatever happens to be on my oil rig at the time) and dab away, Dabs are still vapor!

Personally I feel I get the best flavor when I pull apart a small nug, calyx by calyx using one of my finger tips, and drop them into the GonG. I am NOT squeezing the bud at all, rater "dis-assembling" it if you will, from the base up. I rotate the GonG while I hit the Nano, and stir after the 2nd rip.

I admit I lose some to my finger tip but I feel it is very minimal... Maybe i need to up my grinder game, but I do love this method with the ENano though. Cheers Nano Nation.

I find myself rotating the gong or stem also, and lifting it now and again. Helps me control the cooking process. And stir, too after a couple of hits, if I get that far...

The nano, great vape that it is, is intuitive. That fits me. I don't need to know a lot. Plug it in, load it up, hit it, love it.

Lots of talk on FC of vas and gas... You all give me cas (c for concentrate : )

Cotton burns and it would be nice to be able to use higher heat (e-nano on max) than cotton will allow for when it comes to concentrates.
In the 70's we use a piece of aluminum foil a stick match and a straw for HONEY OIL from INDIA.

COLAS were so good I just smoked joints all day.

CONCENTRATES are the scrape from a Harvest to maximize profits.

If you use a tiny piece of organic cotton I find it to work in the NANO just fine.

My wax pen works.
I have a NAIL (domeless) for DABBING as well.

Cotton works as well in a NANO.

This is what I've been doin for this grapefruit strain. Super dense and sticky. I prepare my session worth by breaking little chunks and sucking out the virgin vapor. Then I put the little chunk in the grinder. I repeat until a whole cola is prepared, then grind it up. It makes for an absolutely amazing material to vape. All the heads are soaked into the material before grinding. And that pre session terpene blast sets the stage for an uplifting high. I passed out earlier while sitting down from a fat rip. Had to get some water.
This shit is fucking crazy. Nano for life

Just wondering do you guys use a grinder for your material or break it by hand. I find it to be better if i hand break it apart. Anyone else experience this?

Whenever I get some material that has a bit of a hair, I always break those up by hand very gently & put it in my stem, that's the best part! Other than that regular nuggets are best to grind with a keif chamber at the bottom. After you load up bowl just throw a little keif on top & you'll be in heaven! ;)

After havin some good time to compare my desktop vapes, it seems the Nano more easily hits the flavor sweetspot compared to my other. I believe this is because the tiny holes for airflow really monitor how much air you're allowed to suck in, making it so the flavor isn't "watered (aired) down". The heated air is also channeled in a narrower path, which I think helps to pull more flavor.
Now...this doesn't mean I can't achieve the same flavor effect with a high airflowed vape, but...you can tell it doesn't come as naturally as a Nano.

For all you flavor chasers out there, I can almost guarantee you made the absolute best decision on vapes when hooking up to water.

Due to being able to pack more in the LSV, the dry hits can REALLY coat your mouth with flavor, which I haven't been able to subjectively achieve with the Nano, maybe due to the lower amount packed. (I had only ever felt that coating feeling with the first draw of an Air/Solo after a long heat soak)
This leads me to believe airflow isn't as much of a flavor factor on dry draw...that comes from the design of the vape itself and the airpath/vaporpath.

I believe the goal of flavor-through-bubbler is to have as much vapor density reach the mouth at the same time, which the Nano does spectacular through water due to the airflow. While I can get larger hits from the LSV due to the huge airflow and larger bowl, I can't technically get as dense of milk in the chamber of my bubbler, and so the bubbler flavor isn't as facepunching as the Nano (unless i draw super slow, but this is why I mentioned the Nano does it Naturally).

Hope you guys like my interpretive science, haha.

I love touching wood ;)

I had a LSV and it was powerful.

The NANO to me was a better fit!

That's has much science as I need!

I've been using cotton all this time. It's not ideal for me. I've gotten big nice and tasty hits from cotton as well. I often go to far and burn the cotton because I want to make sure I'm getting every bit of medicinal value wrapped in the cotton. The taste of that burnt cotton is the worst thing, absolutely horrible. I like using inert materials and having "all glass vapor path" when it comes to vaping. Like I said before, I want to use higher heat and you simply can't do that with cotton. With a porous inert material, you could max out the heat on the nano and not worry about burning anything.

I even use the glass screen gong from epic because steel changes when heat is applied. The adjustable screen gong is so much more functional and allows for more air flow, but I go with the the glass screen gong because it's just a bit cleaner. I know it makes no measurable difference at all since the heat source is wrapped in metal to begin with, It's just me being anal. However with cotton, especially when you burn it, there is a big difference.

I understand you!

My favorite is DABBING.
PERSIE with a SR74 (HERCULES) loaded with SHATTER pretty equal.

For the NANO or my other vaporizers I use COTTON (very Tiny Piece) in relation to the chunk of Honeycomb.

FLAVOR is very critical to me!
However the effect is important as well.

Before SHATTER became so cheap I made my own SHATTER.
5 Grams a week was standard.
COLAS are less intense however the FLAVOR is unbeatable.

Glad CANNABIS is getting cheaper.

I use a NANO for flavor.

COTTON will work if you use a small amount.

FINN'S ORGANIC COTTON will last a long time.
Sometimes I use COTTON from a NUTRITIONAL BOTTLE.

Their is no right way!

Only a way.

Found some 10mm diameter fritted discs but I'm thinking it will be a hair too tight. What do you guys think? Dont think I have the proper tools to measure myself. Expensive though...

http://www.technicalglass.com/product_pages/fused_quartz_wool/fritted_discs.html

those look really "professional" but I am pretty sure a 200 grid sandpaper and up will do fine

This what I'm going to order for wax and shatter. I bought some crafty oil pads and those need to be cut. I'm also worried about tiny pieces of metal causing slivers or if I breathe it in. I will save the Crafty oil pads for something else.

Edit
I've been using the cotton, it works fine. I wanted to try something else out. Expanding my horizons.

yeah last time I had shadder I used cotton but kept burning it or hitting the point were it could not take more, also I dont think the flavor really went downwards after couple of use, I rather have something inert like glass, quarts or ceramic so I will keep looking and let people know what I find

I am 2 other friends are starting a head shop, I talked about this earlier here and not going to do to much but I am going to get those ceramic ones and sand down for the Enano and sell cheap as possible at the shop, problem is just getting the cost down to be able to offer cheap shipping. (the irony) but we launch hopefully in middle of May

I got some shadder after getting my Enano, was supper excited for the pure flavor, I had some cotton that I used to sandwich in the flavor, bringing up the temp trying to hit the sweet spot and hit combustion as I took the bong hit, wife came upstairs to see if I had swallowed the bong or something because all the coughing :p

I manage to do some REALLY nice hit with the cottons also when I got more use to the Enano but I still want something I can use over and over without effecting the flavor, buying something to use ones and throw away is not really in my books !

I'll have to disagree with you there @ataxian ;)

I must have just did it the right way, because I'm as fucked as shbit right now

I never thought I'd say this, but I am warming up to the glass stem.
Usually the stem is too hot and dry for my throat. But I have gotten lazy lately and haven't wanted to pull out my water pipe, fill it, drain it, put it away... So the last few nights I've just been hitting the stem. I started getting some great clouds and flavor at around 5.75. I found if I really do sip it rather than long draws I get a much more enjoyable hit. I still don't think it will surpass the water pipe, but it did get me nice and fucked right now.

Toot a loo :spliff:

Yep, same here. I stop sipping and clear it right as i start to get that little scratch. Dry stem is great for the lazy man that just wants a bowl in bed

I get as high or medicated as needed.
What I do works for me!
What you do works for you!
That's my story anyway.

I use glass rigs a lot however a dry stem I have a few each day!
Hope your well medicated as I definitively am!

The Enano brings out the wonderful flavor from our fav flower. We can thank Snoop Dog for that horrible name (Green Crack). I also saw where they originally called it Green Cush. This strain has a lemony, mango vapor taste and is awesome using the nano.

Lately been using a grind with a cornmeal consistency and temp range anywhere from 5.75 - 6.50. If the vapor is too harsh I turn down the temp. If not enough flavor I turn it up.

I like how an all glass airpath gives a clean, flavorful taste. You can't beat the simplicity of a log vape and how natural materials make up most of the unit.

When choosing a vaporizer for home the Enano is small and fits easily into your hand. When done with your vape session it can be used as an oil diffuser or left out on a shelf, each is a beautiful piece of art. My suggestion is to pay a little extra ($20 - 30) for a premium piece of wood. You will have this vaporizer a long time so really not that expensive.

A great unit for the beginner or a more seasoned vaporist, this unit has it all. It fits most water tools, many use shatter and waxes with the nano. A bonus because it saves on cannabis, you don't use much to get to where you need to be. Plus it's easy to clean and use.

I didn't think there was much of a learning curve with this unit. Using the Epic Tool makes it easy to figure out how much product to use.

Get the most from your cannabis and your budget.

No not on Andy's payroll. Just thrilled with an awesome vaporizer.
