Mike is there any way to get a warranty replacement for a black noir? I originally spoke to somebody back in November and they were supposed to call me back. I never heard back from anybody. I just tried back and it appears the number has been disconnected. Please advise.

Some companies like arizer keep everything under tight wraps, i think it is a lot easier on the r&d.. Less stressful when you don't have to worry about meeting deadlines set by consumers.. Meeting deadlines for your superiors in the company is usually hard enough.

Less worries=smoother work process.
Excellent comment ,Arizer is my sole provider at this point for a few reasons I own quite a few of all their units ,They are a tight professional outfit that makes quality dependable products in Canada (and that is a big deal). If I could add my 2 cents on Indica . I'm curious why they changed the style and removed lid on a very attractive initial design. I keep thinking that there must be more to it. I keep thinking maybe Zippo had a issue. Zippo is a fierce company when it comes to their likeness and design. They have reputation for pursuing products that they feel infringe on their likeness. Most Chinese companies that clone their likeness are simply beyond their reach ,but the American icon Zippo is fierce like an American eagle if you are in their hood . That is just my opinion in regards to the Indica and I could be wrong . I had and sold a Working Indica and thought it was a nice clean modern vape with a ton of extras,so I'm not knocking Indica at all
It is merely my humble ramblings

If you read the whole thread you will get the right story. It has nothing to do with Zippo and everything to do with a fucked-up manufacturing facility in China.

Thats funny i never heard of problems with the flip top lid only with heater etc .Im just curious why it was deleted from design. Im sure we can comment without reading whole thread . If the indica product design naturally evolved to its next design that is great. However if your product is similar to someone elses there is a danger(if you are unaware of danger,it does not absolve you from it) I could clarify further but prefer to stay on topic

Yeah many users actually didn't like it, felt it took away from stealth when open and in use. While that is true I did like it a lot, making it all sealed up for transit. I'm sure the new design is well thought out though and still effective (maybe moreso). Will miss lid flippin

I agree, I thought it was a cool feature too. A nice shiny contained steel package with no product falling in your pocket. There oven door and spacer was cool too. Interested to see final product

I was one of the users that had the lid come off. I sent pictures of the welds to mike. Maybe it was a bit cumbersome but yes, who doesn't love zippo lid action? The lid hinge was definitely a weak point. It would have been really cool if the lid was removable to make it easier to use with a water piece. That shouldn't be an issue anymore.

As long as the vaporizer works just as well or better we will all forget about that lid soon after getting our new units.

I too thought with the lid it was a smart design and it had a cool look to it. Not to mention a very functional unit, I have the black one that I like a lot. Don't use it all the time - not enough hours in a day:lol:
My fav was the first shiny chrome model that i would flick open and closed until i annoyed people. Would like to see the new design finished and see

Happy New Year and, YAWN, hmm, It's felt like hibernation.

Here's a quick update. Beta testing on the O2 found several needed updates to be applied before the product release. These are being corrected then retested to meet our teams general consensus. We may need over 30 days before product release, but let's all be hopeful.

Regarding the i2, I will be off to China in 2 days to run off our first 200 units. These will be for beta testing and buyer evaluation. Once we have had proper input, finished instructions will be completed and minor tweaking of the programing to meet the consumer's general wishes should be fulfilled. If all goes well, the i2 will be available worldwide by the middle of March, latest.

Given that this is a completely remanufactured product and I wish to eliminate the most obvious issues, it may take a few weeks from now before the first several find there way into the reviewer's hands. Hang tight and I'll stay active once more.

Wow that's a crazy update I guess. Was hoping the o2 would be sooner than the i2. But that's okay I guess.

There is no where to read up on the o2 on the Internet. The website hasn't been updated in a while. Are they waiting to work out the kinks before they update the site?

Great news Mike!

I like how much you are taking your time with these to make sure they are right, no design or QC issues, big launch out the gate with a thoroughly tested and complete product without bugs. That's the way to dot my man

Looking forward to helping with the i2 in anyway I can, and excited to see what is new and improved with the o2, waiting can be tough but so well worth it. I believe you are absolutely doing the right thing here and it will payoff in the longterm overall. I know I can be patient on what we see when, regardless what is posted here I know you are always hard at work...

Good luck @Indica Vaporizer, looks like 2016 is going to be a pretty huge year for you!

Will the Indica O2 have the same 8-second cutoff as the ESV? Will it be longer or adjustable in the software?

For the time being, all merged answers to questions on the 02 and i2 will stay on the same forum, but as soon as the beta testing is completed, we should plan to separate these two as they will be completely different units.

Regarding the two previous posts, the 02 software is being rewritten and adjusted for significantly tighter calibration. That includes many variables. Additionally the coil configuration and positioning has been modified as well as several internal body modifications to allow for a change of air flow over the coil itself. We've eliminated hotspots to ensure even temperature air flow of less than 1 degree Celsius plus or minus.

I'm hoping to be sending out modified O2 units to the beta testers within a week. At that point we can confirm that these changes are consistent amongst all units.

As for the i2, when scheduling close to Chinese New Year's, delays were inevitable. No opportunities for medication over seas, so taking it on the chin was my best bet this trip. Tooling is just being finished up, but was not completed during this visit. Components will be shipped this week, back home, to be assembled by USA team. 90% of the product was completed during my trip and the programming was completed as well. Though the program and rapid prototype of the I2 is a major improvement in performance over the original Indica, I'm a firm believer of waiting till the fat lady sings. So let's wait until the components arrive and I can tell you that the last produced piece fits properly, looks gorgeous and works perfect as well.

The pieces assembled here in the US will be shipped out to the beta testers, who will then make suggestions before we go into production after the Chinese New Year which will be late February.

These are the actualities of the Indica's on goings. I will tell you that I am extremely optimistic with both products but will hold off the sales and distribution until we have each item properly pretested as necessary before releasing the new items to you and the market.

It seems like 2016 is gonna be an interesting year for on-demand convection vaporizers :D

Sounds good Mike!

More steady progress for what is essentially a total relaunch of new products with a lot of moving parts to build and develop, no rush to get it right bc it will all be well worth it

Can't wait until they're at a point where you feel you can create a new Indica i2 Vaporizer thread and a new Indica o2 Vaporizer thread in the upcoming section! Looking forward to trying both of these innovative beauties out for myself some day soon :brow: (oh is the iQ on hold btw?)

Appreciate the votes of confidence. Regarding the Quantum ie "iQ", the engineering, design, and programing actually are almost complete. If the i2 can be seamlessly introduced to the market in March, look to October 2016 for the iQ.

Okay so I've kinda been out of the loop for a while, just want to make sure I'm right here, 3 indicas will be available soon:

i2 (Update of OG Indica)
iQ (New smart vape)
o2 (Convection vape, working with a still-unknown-to-most company?)

Pics look great though!
