I'm hoping that an extra unit here or there would not disrupt production. How many people from the preorder would want to add units to their order, +/- 5%? Also, I don't care when the second one ships, I just want to know if I can add another to my order and what price it would be. I dont want to fight with my wife over this thing and would prefer one just for her.

I hear what you're saying, but I also know that given the chance I'd probably snatch up a second one in a heartbeat, and I imagine we are not alone.

I believe that a significant portion of grasshopper delays have to be associated with people amending their orders as their turn in line comes up.

I can understand your thoughts for sure, but I think ultimately it's more fair to everyone to keep unit orders locked in until all the preorders are taken care of.

I'd love to see the option of adjust the accessories at time of order though.

@virtualpurple im fairly certain RBT has said you can edit/change accessories when you get your confirmation email, which is why I'm asking about adding a second unit.

I appreciate what you are saying about added delays from people adding to their GH orders, but I would gladly wait for the second unit until preorders are filled. It would be a nice gesture to let those of us who have preordered, and patiently waited, to get another unit at our preorder price.

Good call, and I think that's a very fair way for pre-order customers to get additional unit! Appreciate the thought!

Though I can't officially speak on behalf of RBT, my guess is if it is allowed, any additional units added on would have to wait till the preorders are all shipped.

These units, though their bodies are milled out in minutes by speedy CNC machinery, still require a lot of painstaking hand crafting and love to bring to life, and knowing him, everyone gets firsts before anyone gets seconds.

I don't think any one minds waiting for second zion to come in while they HAVE the first in rout... I think it's more the price point?

I know I would be happy to wait again for the same price if it's half as amazing as I hope it is...

Honestly though I'm more interested in the sequels coming out.... Not sure, but I'd probably be using those much more...

Ugh, still need to thin out my collection of various vapes that NEVER get touched. :/
I feel bad, they need love too... And I know some-one out there wants to love them, but can't seem to let them go. Lol

Hopefully this zion gives me some encouragement

When your gong sticks to your nano as you pull it off and falls on your JUST recently cleaned desk. <<<<

ABV PARTICLES EVERYWHERE FUCK!

I love my desktops but really hate them at the same time. I can't wait for the Zion to break these chai-... I mean cords.

POWER CORDS!:cuss:

Here's a song that uses 5 power chords. (Brainstew not jaded)

Works for my current state.

Don't get too excited though man, Zion is beyond great imo, but it is still a glass stem based vaporizer too, bc I have spilled avb all over myself being careless tilting Zion when I pull it from my mouth lounging back in the couch... Unlikely to happen using a GonG I think, but I'll find out soon enough!
And yeah no cords is fantastic, portability is second to the instant power though

I know I just see it being waaay more manageable :p

That glass on glass. The simple slide. :smug:

It's just I really think the Zion should be the perfect all round home/portable vape, and I've been missing that since I've sold my air. I'm super excited for a reason.

Yeah in that sense, you've got good reason to be, I can most definitely assure you;)

I don't miss my Solo and Air at all anymore, and it destroys them in performance anyway, 18mm joints make for a perfect glass stem system despite not being screw in or something

Zion Production Plan

Complete and ship initial 6 production units 1/13
Quite period to evaluate initial customer feedback 1/21
Ship additional 12 units
Quite period
Ship additional 24 units
Batch build of 200 units

Update 1/8
Wow, we are finally here! The last of the beta feedback has been incorporated and production is underway. This will be a slow process at first with small groups being released with time to evaluating feedback ensuring that here aren't any issues that the Beta testing has missed. Once the initial 36 units ship and working properly the production of the next build of 200 that will be build in parallel will be finalized. Check back soon to hear what folks have to say.

Request for @RastaBuddhaTao - since the most frequently asked question is likely "Where am I in line?" maybe you can avoid that by just telling us the dates that the 6th, 18th and 42nd units were purchased so we can know which batch we will be in.

Today's exciting discovery:
The Goode Johnny Zion & a VXL Hydrabomb is a full on, smooth yet extremely flavoursome affair!

Smooth tasty clouds so easily ripped with such a quality piece of glass.

I knew it was good with the Evo but then, that's where I started out with that unit. With Johnny however, I've used a lot of other attachments, but I have now discovered that for me, the Hydrabomb & the Zion married with a bent 18.8mm male2male adapter are a heavenly new-age pair! ;)

Oh brothers & sisters I'm looking forward to more of this - especially with what's to come!

:D

I hope y'all are having a great weekend! :)

Yes yes! It's so amazing through my HydraTree even with just @Ratchett's SonG on the mouthpiece to connect, also when i place it on top of my fcmod showerhead can for double filtrarion :brow: with hothot Ziggy its always instantly white with clouds. Of course like this it is a bit precarious and unstable, so I can't wait until my proper JoDa GonGs arrive next week ;) made sure to get em long enough. Will post many photos when they are here, hopefully some new cloudage shots as well...

I've been running some concentrates in my Zion with great results. I think my favorite way is in a hemp fiber that keeps it collected and from running in the stem. One thing I've noticed about my concentrate uses is I don't need as much heat as people might think. I can get huge clouds from the same setting as I run flowers most times.

Okay okay! I was just making sure y'all were paying attention! Well done Karma - 5 points to you for noticing that I posted in the thread without a single picture! Which as you know is virtually unheard of :D

Now, these shots are obviously no action flick, but you should at least get the gist . . .
(. . . and yes, that ^^^^ is STILL my original basket screen, STILL in daily use. Upsetting for some, but torched clean on the regular, regardless  My only spare, brand-new & pristine screen is securely stored off-site 20 miles from my location, in a bomb proof safe :ninja:)

Oh. Suits you sir.

ZionBomb!

Imo, the best flavour through water so far!

I'm looking forward to seeing your set-up @Shit Snacks - boy oh boy you're gonna have some fun!

And I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's reports too, as things really start to get moving. It's gonna be really interesting to get some fresh perspectives from people who haven't already been Zionized until now . . .

Keep it locked on Zion.

A whole lotta love.

Says the guy with one of the Only 3 production units in the wild who wasn't posted one picture ;)

I think @IAmKrazy2 is going to beat both you and @stickstones to the punch. Oh well, guess I'll have to make my own video?

@RastaBuddhaTao please take note of @fluffhead's request. I feel like that would be an appropriate way to give people a ballpark idea of where they fall into line without requiring you to contact every single person. I think that the question of "Which number am I" is a common one on this thread and simply knowing where one sits in the pecking order would alleviate some anxiety for folks.

Yes, now that production has started we can inform the initial customers to ensure that have all they need and verify their shipping address as well as let the Lifers know there place in line. Thanks to all for your patients for allowing the time to make sure your Zion everything the Z-Team demanded. To be honest, reviewing and revising the design and production process for months chasing perfection was very painful. However, having the Zion nearly perfect at launch will more than make up for the lost revenue with solid reliability and customer satisfaction.

RBT, my hat is off to you. I imagine that much blood, sweat, and tears went into all this. And I think that your product will become a game-changer for us all. And I have little doubt that as the pre-orders get into hands, that the product will begin to catch like wildfire. From all the videos and images we've seen, this looks like it will make even dedicated combusters sit up and take notice.

What I appreciate the most though is your respect for the consumer enough to delay a release with an unapologetic pursuit towards perfection. I think alot of manufacturers would cut corners and release a par-cooked product, but you are not a simple manufacturer here, you are the master swordsmith producing a tool fit for a samurai. I can't wait to split bullets and melt faces.
