Discontinued The Grasshopper

Closer to the heater it does get warm during use, but not abnormally warm IMO, and it cools down right away after finishing a draw. I also have never had the hot back end issue, around that area is always cool. I have a Ti model if that makes any difference.

Interesting. Mine gets hot to the touch all over the back - clip, top, all that. But, it still works and still performs well. I'm quite impressed at how well it handles concentrate wrapped into some cotton. Plus you can pre-pack little cotton balls and be good for the day =)

Standard Titanium, looks like a pen. I've had it in my breastpocket entering hockey games and a music festival and no one ever questioned it.

As for my GH status, I'm on my 2nd body. Received original GH around September, worked a few times then died. Received the new body and it's been my daily driver ever since. Haven't used any other vapes.

I don't know, I'm kinda digging the grey. It actually doesn't look too bad, although it would look a lot better if the clip was the same colour...

just an info for european hopper users, i saw now on the site 'verdampftnochmal.de' , they are selling extra batterys, charging cables and silicon tips for the hopper (the batts are 14€! the tip 10€! i find this a bit expensive, its double of the price as if you buy directly from hopper labs)
here is the link:
http://verdampftnochmal.de/de/vaporizer-ersatzteile-zubehoer/grasshopper-vaporizer

, on their site they say that those items are in stock, but the hopper itself is still not available there.....
(this is only for information no advertisement)

FWIW in the past the charger has fixed my Hopper. Before I sent it in the only time it acted normal was on the charger. I don't think the charger they designed is bad for the Grasshopper. At most, it may cause stress overtime, but if the backend it built properly there shouldn't be any reason for it to happen.

Such seriously amazing performance, I really do hope they resolve the failure issues and then get onto that hot mouthpiece tip thing pronto! Those hits in that video are like a pocket sublimator to my eye (albeit takes a little longer to get the clouds going)!

pocket size and safe Sublimator. the real Sublimator is quite dangerous appliance. once upon a time my dog almost burned down a house i'm living in. i left the thing on table to warm up and went to kitchen to fix something eating. meanwhile dog was jumping on the table to search for some weed to lick up apparently. poor bastard couldn't wait till i give him my exhales. :) so yeah, kinda funny, but big black hole in desk top reminds me to be careful with Sublimator.

Oh man, I freaked out for your dog's safety thinking he was left unattended with a sublimator turned on and nearby!!!!!!!!!!! Pets aside, I owned a Sub for a good while and the only safety issue I had was the razor sharp tool that came with it (seriously bad CNC job, must have missed QC altogether) ;)

yeah. my Dogis (his name) have no feel for responsibility. old and greedy cloud chasing bastard. :) he started to vape with me 2 years ago. under a blanket at begging. his favorite vape is Vulcano bag now. i push gently vapor out trough little hole i made. while he suck it up. he is licking and breathing in at the same time. he never takes no smoke, starting to sneeze if doing so. so die hard FuckCombuster as me :)

i really should make YouTube video about Dogis's cloud chasing habits , but i got no clue about video editing or uploading. my computer knowledge is way under average.

I would seriously reconsider getting your dog high. Animals for the most part hate being in that state and their levels for absorbING thc is different then ours.

I am not a vet or anything so this is only my personal experiences and granted I also try to avoid doing it too often, but I have known several dogs who were very enthusiastic about getting high
My idiot moment of the day...

I had to read your post twice to realize you were talking about not being a veterinarian. At first I thought you were referring to having not been in the military!

It's sad, I know...

Vaperist gets my vote for best posts ever. Those 2 posts about your dog we're fucking hilarious.

To Kalessin point, I too have seen dogs get very excited over the herb (eating it, chewing stems). Some like it, others do not. I never force it on any of them though.

The Hopper charger is very well made, maybe too well made as it can be tough to separate the magnets sometimes.

I really hope the one they're sending is a winner! Hip Hop Hooray!

ouh, yeahhh. i'm not forcing anything. he wag his tail when i'm setting up Volcano. i'm not vet as well but i haven't noticed anything bad happening to his health. in fact, Dogis have no illness since he started vaping. only i have to monitor his munchies. he can eat till explodes.

So I just dug into google a bit and as long as your dog is a healthy adult dog and is on the larger side of dog breeds then a little bit of cannabis occasionally shouldn't be a problem. Also found that there are a handful of vets who advocate for cannabis microdosing as a treatment for canine arthritis as well as palliative end of life care for dogs with painful conditions. None of those vets recommend it for recreational canine use as far as I could tell and their preferred mode of delivery was via a few drops of tincture, based off of the weight of the dog, in a bit of a treat. Every source cautioned against smoking with your dog, I didn't find anything on vapor, but again as long as it is very small doses it should probably be relatively low risk, if your dog pants more than usual or seems agitated while on cannabis then you should probably stop, but otherwise it's probably not harmful.

Is there a new thread about canine consumption being born here? May be an interesting debate. I personally don't care what vets/doctors do or don't recommend when it comes to consumption of anything...

In the famous words of Andre 3000:
marijuana illegal, but cigarettes cool? I might look like a dummy but I ain't no fool!

Would getting a grasshopper high from the vapor from a grasshopper be equally debatable?

this. of topic is no good, agree. lets honor GrassHopper and his thread!

but new thread should be created. i'm betting that there are many funny stories about pets who like to get stoned. especially in vaporist community like this..

The same way the Arizer Air gets you a different high than from an EVO. If this is what I think you're referring to, anyway.

Last night I took a few rips off of the EVO having used it most of the day. Didn't quite get where I wanted so after 10 minutes I took a rip off the Grasshopper and within 5 minutes I was feeling it all. Hopper has also been giving me more density/build up that this EVO, but that's probably a result of airflow differences. I've been able to test 2 EVO's and the one that isn't mine rivals the Hoppers cloud production (in terms of buildup. Exhaling it all looks the same as you know).

It really is pretty great having the 5 second heat up compliment the power of a desktop. Example, last night I didn't move for about 2 hours. Knees got stiff, back was aching, feeling the old manliness at my young age. The EVO had been off, but I turned it on. As I went to move though I felt my knees creaking and protesting. Very painful :( So I picked up the Hopper and put it on 4 and ripped away my aches and pains. Feeling better, and a few minutes later the EVO is ready for the high temp nighty night rips. Last night though my quality of life would have been much lower had it not been for the Hopper. No way the FM, Arizer Air, or EVO could have done that as quickly, but that's really just their nature.

Extra batteries should be here today :rockon:Stoked to be able to charge all 4 at the same time!

Final note on dog stuff: I am not a veterin(arian) but my friend is. Like anything, inhaling things isn't good for the animal, however there are lots of differences between smoke and vapor, primarily how the animals receive it. Vapor is absorbed much better and much more potent than smoke, which can damage their cells and absorb many things along with the smoke.

As long as it isn't smoke, there shouldn't be any detrimental effects from it for the health of the animal.

I'm taking a t-break for a few months, so no more Hopping or Soloing for me for a while. However, when I was using my Hopper for the last supper, I noticed that I was getting a lot of draw resistance. I took off the mouthpiece and cleaned off the screen, but that didn't help. I then looked at the tip of the mouthpiece and noticed that there was a lot of oil buildup. I used a pair of pointy tweezers to scrape it out, and ended up with enough for a nice reclaim load!

I think there's probably still a lot more oil in there that I wasn't able to get, due to the tip's tiny diameter. However, if one could remove the screen from the tip, there'd definitely be a lode of gold awaiting. I didn't do it because I didn't want to ruin the screen, as I don't think anyone has removed and replaced theirs yet.

Noticed this too, & also attributed draw resistance to it. I didn't have much luck getting it with my stir tool so I would just keep soaking it in iso. It looked nasty so I prob wouldn't smoke it but it'd be nice to have an easy way to clean it.

Reclaim is on the opposite end of the scale from "nasty" it is as mentioned like golden honey...... try some I know you will love it..... just go ahead and grab a tooth pick and get yourself a good amount on the tip of the t-pick then roll that up in fresh grind and add it to your next bowl...
You'll see .......
