So I got a pretty good deal on a a few of these on dh gate by gathering a few friends. My package says it's getting here today and I'm more than excited to try this as I have been doing somewhat research on this on here and on YouTube. There was one thing that I seen hasn't been fully explained (or to me it seems). And that's how the heating cycle exactly works. I understand that three clicks to turn on will take you to the first cycle but to move on to the others is it just simply waiting for that green light to end (cycle over)? Or does it also cycle up by shutting it off with 3 clicks as its heating up or it has reached temp and turning it back on just so you get the constant rise in heat. Another question about the heat cycle I have is if I were to happen to prefer the first heat cycle and would like to take multiple dabs, how long would I have to wait from the first cycle from being over in order to get that first heat cycle and not the second. Sorry if this is a lot but it's What's been on my mind about this a lot. Basically what I'm saying is if it's easy to actually choose your temp precisely in a way. Thanks FC this is my first post

I grabbed two of these units from dabado on cyber Monday. For starters they took about a month to send the shits.

When it gets her I'm extremely dissapointed. One of the units (the one I kept) even had the nail explode off of it and hit me right in the forehead.

This is a piece of shit. Quite frankly I'm scared to use it again.

That sucks all around! Glad I quickly realized that dabado was just a branded copy, because I have seen a lot of complaints about them ($,service, slow delivery). Regarding the nail, my first one had the nail raise slightly as I seasoned it a few times, but after that, it pretty much stays in place. I wouldnt be scared if I were you, but certainly use caution until you have seasoned that nail.

Do you think the DHGate model's will be compatible with the ceramic nail Dr Dabber and G9 are "developing"? Also what's the best DHGate model please, I don't want to get the wrong one since I read the nail shoots off.

any other official news from the owners of this company? I believe they are in China. We should invite them to this message board.

Its pretty simple. When White light the power to the heater is on. Green means its off I believe but up to temp. Once the heater kicks off just click the button until it turns back on to increase heating. The nail seems to cool off quite quickly as it has little mass.

I think it's all purely time based. I don't think the unit has any temperature sensing at all.

Got the unit in from edabsdirect.com today---can't believe they shipped that quick!

Thanks to yourself and everyone else contributing to this thread. I appreciate the research and insight shared as it saves others from the trials and pitfalls others have encountered along the way.

I'm taking a guess based off your username and profile pic you are located in or near the same state I am (Boiler Up! lol). I have an email out to greenlight to see what diffuser hole setup they are selling currently, otherwise I plan to go edabdirect. I'm not sure if you noticed or signed up for their email subscription list, but when I received a confirmation email of said signup, a contact address was presented ...

That might explain such quick shipping for yourself. This factor alone makes me want to just order from them now.

Edit: you probably knew that if you are in fact in the same state as me and got charged tax on your order

Anyway, sorry if this was useless banter for others...

Looking forward to seeing the 510 option that can screw into a mod box like my IPV d2. I enjoy my DT 2.5 atty, but looking for something 'more' and I've used torch + Ti, ceramic, quartz nail for years now, but becoming all about that low temp throughout the last year.

Cheers everyone and thanks again for all the knowledge dropped in here already.

@zikzak no problem. Researching/ Finding the next best thing is part of the fun, right? Yeah, I am a former Hoosier, but still in the Midwest, so that helps on the ship times.

Hey guys! I just got one of these and got caught up on the past 7 pages of this thread. I went the cheapest route possible since it sounds like they're all pretty much exactly the same, and got mine from the DHgate seller "alexstore" (http://www.dhgate.com/product/produ...emcode=268558200#myaccount_orderdetail-1-null).
Shipping was crazy fast (less than a week) and I frickin love this thing! It replicates a real, proper dab better than any other portable/pen based solution I've tried. The one I got is the most recent version of the glass piece with the slit percs, and I've had zero clogging problems and minimal claim buildup.

All that said, I'm a bit concerned about how much plastic is in the heating chamber. It looks like the whole white section that surrounds the heating element and secures the glass section is made of pretty flimsy plastic. It can be dented and marked easily when cold, and gets notably softer when the nail is heated which, I would assume, means that it's releasing something toxic that I don't want in my dabs....

It looks like this hasn't really come up yet on this thread. What do you all think? Reason for concern?

Hey, does anyone know if the DH Gate non-branded versions of these have the updated slots in the bubbler? Thanks!

I'll take some timings from min and get back to you.
Well, my greenlight labeled version heats for 20 seconds, and then remains green for 15 seconds and then off. Doesn't matter if it's the first or third straight hear cycle. My ir thermometer is dead, was hoping to see if the nail was still heating while green. My guess is that it is.

I would think when it's green it just remains at that preset heat until it's over. But what about starting that same first heat cycle twice? How long is the timing to restart? Sorry for asking so much

I think you are giving this device too much credit. I think the heater is a binary device. Heat cycle is either off or on, no pid.

I do the second heat cycle immediately upon the light turning green the first time. Basically, as soon as it turns green, i triple click it to off, and then triple click it back on. Wait 20 another sec and then use.

Do you use it on the second heat cycle? I find the first cycle to be plenty hot enough and have never used it beyond that. I guess it would work great for really big dabs, but if I am taking those I am using my rig.
