Hello everyone.

I thought I would post This thread. As the poor volcano never seems to get a good word in!

I can understand why. But I wanted to post my opinions of it so that new owners will be assured. And potential new owners will take the dive.

Some background. I haven't been vaping for long. I had an iolite for my first vape. But I had some trouble with it. And I had to send it back.

Being desperate. I found the ony vape I could go out and buy at the weekend without paying too much. But could get in a retail store. It turned out to be the volcano.

In short: I love it

In long: I reeeaaallly love it :)

Things I like:

The bag system... It's just amazing. I love how everything is so simple and well made. I love how it's all
modular. I love that it's so so easy to clean and maintain. I love that you can just take the crucible off for a while if your done for the moment. Ready to reheat later.

The look of it.... It's very stylish
and well made. And has a simple functional look to it. And it's very distinctive. Also the one most people have heard of. So people are really amazed by it. It's a great show off device.

The quality of the vapour is just supreme. Especially considering that I am a relatively new vaper. It's so simple and reassuring. You know that you will get a good bag of vapour. In a party situation. You fill a few bags and send them into a room. It doesent take long!!! But I also love the bag system alone. It's great to have a bag just to puff away on. The vapour stays "active" in the ballon for a very long time. So there is no rush.

The bad things:

The bags are very noisy when their filling. And not so good if your watching a quiet film or it's late at night. But that's a small complaint.

The price is a bit steep. It took some swallowing but overall you really have to step back and consider what your getting. And for me. It's just amazing. I love every part of this vape. And I highly recommend it!!

That's it for now. I hope to add more detail when I get home.

Anyone curious about any part of the volcano. Please do ask. And I'll try my best to answer!!

Hi, Cheers for the review.

I don't think many would argue that the volcano is at the top of the food chain when it comes to bag vape's.
Enjoy ;)

Do you have the solid valve or easy valve ? and how do you like it ?

Try Reynolds oven bags instead of the Volcano bags, they seem to make less noise. One thing about the high price is the high resale value, just check ebay and you will see used Volcano's fetching almost as much as new ones.

You are right: the Volcano is very good at what it does. I have one myself, however, I now only use it in a group situation. It is a very good party vape.

For everyday anytime use, the Volcano is hampered by its warm-up time. This is not a problem for folks who partake infrequently: the warm-up time seems like more a part of the total ritual of getting high.

For others, like me, we just want to maintain a sparkle all-day long. For folks like us, something more instantaneous is preferable. The Purple Days, at least for me, satisfies that requirement.

Sometimes I want a series of humongous hits. I use my glass Vapor Genie. Sometimes I'm at the movies, and if no one sits close by, or outdoor concerts (Indigo Girls was great!) I use my Magic Flight Launch Box. Or I'm hiking about: I-olite.

I realize not everyone can have ALL the toys. But for the price of a Volcano, you can have 1 of everything mentioned above.

Still, I'm not sorry I bought it. But I haven't used it in ages. I got to have more parties.

Thanks for your replies.

I have the easy valve. I thought about the solid but... Do you ever think situations where people are given free choice over things they inevitably make it worse? That's what I imagined happening with the solid valve.

The easy valve is fantastic. It's simple and well.... Easy! And quite satisfying to use.

I am a 'sometimes' user so the warm up time doesent bother me massively. But I have to admit. It is better as a party vape. I took it to a party and suffice to say I was pretty popular!

The thing that made me go for a volcano mostly is the assurance.. I'm a beliver of quality personally... There are 50 vapes out there and these so called vape pipes aswell that I have no idea are any good. Who is to know? The volcano won the cannibis cup multiple times. That's gotta say something right?

Lots of user comments on them here if you're interested in finding out.

That they have a big enough budget to buy the award? The subpar super vapezilla 'won' multiple times as well, yet the majority of highly regarded vapes haven't even been nominated...

There are actually quite a few 'cano threads here, try typing "volcano" in the search feature and filter by "topic subject only". It does get some flak for the high price (macbill put it very eloquently above), but I think most of us can respect and appreciate the innovation Storz and Bickel have facilitated.

I guess because I'm coming from a previous no vape at all situation to owning a volcano it has all it's new charm to unleash on me.

I took this over to a friends house. Where 5 smokers enjoyed it. And were all blown away by vapourisation as a whole. The volcano did make this type of small party situation very good though.

I have made a fair few searches on the forum about the cano... The general gist I got from it was it being slated an awfull lot and accused of being hugely overpriced for what it is.. I thought it deserved some defending! (hence this thread)

If you agree that "imitation is the soncerest form of flattery, then it looks like some folks in china are pretty impressed with the 'cano. behold the "Mount FuJi Digital Vaporizer":

I don't know if Storz & Bickel are real people or if they are alive, but if they're real and if they're dead, i'm sure this has them turning in their graves.

Sorry if this isn't the right forum to laugh at a 'cano knock-off.
