Enjoy your Haze in any case. Real men rock the green ones, btw.

Did the older version Haze have a tighter draw? I have the V3 and it's not tight at all. I've heard folks say the Haze has a draw restriction. Just curious, it was mentioned about a draw restriction in another thread.
That confused me too, I know it was a completely different mouthpiece. I also know it used to stick more, but I always heard it was a good draw. Especially with Ed's Wong, for me the vapor just flows into you. We all have different ways of drawing I guess. Like I mentioned on that thread, my lungs since giving up combustion are really in good shape. Even compared to even when I had even a little combustion in my routine, the difference is amazing.

Still I find the Haze never blocks air at all. I do clean it after every 3-4 sessions, especially if I do a dab or two. Maybe that's the issue, the Haze air path does need a fairly frequent ISO q tip dip to keep it going nice. Considering the quality it gives you for your time, it's well worth the 2 min it takes.

Hey Guys. Just got a few more XL batteries in so this can take over as my daily driver! I also picked up a
XTAR VP4 PREMIUM 4 bay CHARGER. I heard these are a bit nicer than the Nitecore D4. It has 2x 1a and 2x .5a bays. Although unfortunately I think they all run at .5a with 4 plugged in? I'll let you know how it works with the Haze batteries!

I also have a Imax B6 Charger from my RC days. This works GREAT for 1 cell. I need to make one of these cradles so I can balance 6 cells at once on my B6. It will charge up to 5a but I only use it at 1a on my 18650's

I have been loving the Haze! It hits so nice and the flower/shatter sandwiches are Fantastic! I urge everyone to get one with some extra herb cans and XL batteries. Battery life is pretty bad on this unit honestly. I cannot get more than 2 bowls ever out of a single standard 18650 while other portables get a few more. That's OK because you can carry as many as you want! I will have 6 in rotation personally with 6 charging bays at my disposal every night!

My Haze seems to shut off more quickly than other vaporizers with auto shut off. Is there any way to increase it?

Can those of you with the v3 see a rotating chamber when it's turned on and if so how do you see it? Scott asked me whether mine rotated but I don't see anything that could rotate.

You look through the oven door hole in the side. If you are opening the solid hole look through the solid oven door. Open hole, look through that open hole side oven. If you see the metal there disappear as you open the top it's OK.

As far as the auto shut off, I always make sure my battery is freshly charged right out of the charger, even if I charged it the day before I top it off so to speak. I also make sure the Haze is "breathing". Keep it upright or on a surface that won't suffocate it. If it get's overheated it shuts off. If it stays fairly cool it will stay on as long as the battery holds out.

I find my right oven keeps the machine cooler longer so for I use the left for low temp and short sessions. The right oven is for high temp and long sessions. I also find it stays cool if I put down during a session every so often, again keeping it from overheating is the key. Eventually it needs a rest, but I find it will go at least 20 min uninterrupted easy with my methods. Sometimes much longer.

I think it also will shut off after 5 min of no draws.

I would just like to give another shout out to @scottg402 and the haze team for their amazing customer service.
Today, he got back to me in less than an hour confirming the problem I was having. And a couple weeks ago I had asked for a small favor with a holiday bundle I purchased and they made it no questions asked.

This company deserves its stellar reputation.

thanks for this, i was wondering why the pipe cleaner went in the hole in the solid white circle oven no problem but wouldn't go in the hole in the other oven. didn't realize it rotated depending on what oven is turned on!

I would just like to make some comment on the mouthpiece and the draw. I had the 2.5, then one bowl out, so I waited for the 3.0.

I liked the first one very much. It felt like it was just getting broken in when the one bowl went down. I loved the mouthpiece because even though it didn't have the lip, the cylindrical shape had less surface area in contact and one it got heated up and things got moving, the mouthpiece dropped fine.

The 3.0 version, they changed the mouthpiece from that 2 stage thickness (which looked hella cool by the way) to the perfectly straight stem with a ring around the end. Because there's more surface area to get gummed up, I find that it takes a monumental effort to pull the stem up when cold and even when 4 stars hot sometimes. You MUST keep it clean and that means each and every reload the stem and he unit must be cleaned thoroughly, but that, in and of itself, isn't such a big deal since the cleaning of utensils is a requirement in all walks of life.

As for the draw, it does seem that the 3.0 is muted in some way, but the increased temps seem to have made it all balance out. I feel that I get a better "hit" from the 3.0 version, although, there's not the huge clouds that some may come to expect. I'm fine with that as the non combustible flavor is delicious and the concentration seems high.

Interesting post. I had one of the first V3 runs so I never have been able to know the difference.

I Finally gave my best friend his new Haze last night! It's his first vape so he was pumped. He thinks it may be too much hassle to use 100% of the time vs. packing a quick combustible bowl. I assured him that if he went 3 days and ONLY vaped he wouldn't want to smoke anymore. He said "coming from you, the biggest joint smoker on the planet, I believe you and I'll try"! That's good enough for me.

I gave him a little sack of good flower and a little of some amazing nug run shatter so he can try it out in style!

My sister got hers Tuesday along with the Underdog I sent her. She has not smoked since!

Saving lungs 1 vape at a time...

Just registered to say fc helped me a lot with my choice of my first vaporizer. I just received the haze and the batteries are charging. Had some trouble because of the us power cord, but luckily I had a same powercord from another device with the correct plug. Now the waiting has begun.

As I am from the Netherlands I can't get wax or shatter here, but I can get different kinds of hash, so I will be experimenting with that.

Thank you for all the usefull info.

I have one question already. Is it safe to plug the charger in a regular European outlet? We got 220v around here.

Not that I didn't plug it in already off course. All seems fine, just wanted to be sure the charger isn't slowly melting from the inside.

Nope you should be good to go as long as you are using the EU power cord adapter. :)

Yeah, the adapter I got send wasn't compatible with the US power cord so I just used a European power cord I already had. Thnx for setting my mind at ease. I also reported with the reseller so they won't make the same mistake with other customers.

You're most welcome here!

I, too, credit FC for me making the best vaporizing choices for my situation.

Long live FC!

I tried some crumbled hash in the can with the silicone lid. I used temp 3 and it produced really nice flavor. I bumped the temp to setting 4 after a few hits. At some point I didn't get anything out of it anymore so I turned the haze off.

When I opened the can for inspection, all the hash was on one corner of the can. It all melted together again and it was pretty solid and stuck in the can.

What's is the best way to clean it out again? Just scrape it out and clean it with iso? Or shouldn't I be scraping the can?

You can soak them in ISO/wipe down with q-tip, or what I do is use a tiny bit of dry material and throw it on top of said residue(enough for two draws maybe) and rip it. After you're all done, should be easier after you empy it all out. If not......I apologize as it works for me. If you're going scrape the cans....use a wooden skewer. It's never good to go metal on metal....

If you ever want to make your own concentrate, Rosin Tech is super easy to do a small amount. And I LOVE making my own BHO, It's my personal Favorite! You can get a rosin tech setup by stealing your girls flat iron for the night. A good BHO setup will run a little more but well worth it IMHO. I love my flower but it just wouldn't be the same without a can sandwich! Lots of info here and on a few other forums on the subject if you ever get the urge.
Enjoy your haze! I suggest at least 2 extra XL batteries and a 4 bay charger if you are a heavy user.

The right hand bay of my haze charger was only getting 1 battery up to 4.17 volts. Bay # 2 and #3 were actually just pulled from a fresh full charge on the Haze charger. I was able to correct it, the VP4 brought it up to 4.20. The Haze charger isn't bad at all, I will still use it as a car charger but this one is a bit more accurate and 4 bays is nice.
