New Portable H Enail with built in glass bubbler by Green Light Vapes

Hey guys! I just got one of these and got caught up on the past 7 pages of this thread. I went the cheapest route possible since it sounds like they're all pretty much exactly the same, and got mine from the DHgate seller "alexstore" (http://www.dhgate.com/product/produ...emcode=268558200#myaccount_orderdetail-1-null).
Shipping was crazy fast (less than a week) and I frickin love this thing! It replicates a real, proper dab better than any other portable/pen based solution I've tried. The one I got is the most recent version of the glass piece with the slit percs, and I've had zero clogging problems and minimal claim buildup.

All that said, I'm a bit concerned about how much plastic is in the heating chamber. It looks like the whole white section that surrounds the heating element and secures the glass section is made of pretty flimsy plastic. It can be dented and marked easily when cold, and gets notably softer when the nail is heated which, I would assume, means that it's releasing something toxic that I don't want in my dabs....

It looks like this hasn't really come up yet on this thread. What do you all think? Reason for concern?

Its supposedly PTFE. I am not seeing any discoloration, change in shape or texture, or apparent out gassing after several weeks of hard use. I cleaned it with some iso qtip the other day and looks like new.

I'm not really concerned at the moment.

What's this about a ceramic version of this? If they do a ceramic instead of Ti nail, then I might just have to jump on board!

Can someone confirm that this has no electonic taste at all??

The actual tip which connects to the ti nail above is ceramic in itself so going with a fully ceramic nail is the only way to go, im after getting a couple as soon as I see them for some anywhere but only aware of dr dabber doing them so far, I asked vapefiend if he was in the process of ether make some or buying some in and he said for the time being it's a no go :( still I'll grab some off DD as soon as I see em posted up.

As a seasoned enail lover @herbivore21 i think you will still like these portable enails, personally I've never used standard setup plug in style so I have nothing else to compare it with. Been said a few items it's not quite up there but that's not surprising as it's literally a quarter of the price of any setup, no sic dishes, sapphire inserts etc. I've seen but for me as a complete novice to dabbing oils I do love it and better still its cordless :D my pet hate is wires and cords

Greenlight & Dr Dabber have both indicated that other nail types are in the works.

Honestly this thing dabs like a beast, but I can damn near guarantee the building materials are suspect. But so is everything else in a chemically saturated world. So I still use it.

Quick email back from vapefiend about the ceramic nails. Currently in the testing phase right now or early R and D and fairing very well, flavour wise it's also doing very well so I can see these being available soon enough for us all to enjoy :)

this might be my next purchase but i will wait for the new version if they are planning to update the nail. I bought a Kandypen vape pen for concentrates for 100 bucks and it's okay. It's a pen. This is not a pen. It seems like you decent hits as if you were to use a bong with a nail for dabbing. The best thing about this device is that it's portable. I saw one of these at a local head shop but the worker there had no idea what version they were carrying lol.

I messaged with one of the greenlight peeps today on Instagram. They said the expected nail updates would work with the v2, and are expected in the next 3 months, but not yet in production, so that's a good enough reason for you to jump in now :D (it really does kick ass).

But if there are questionable materials being used then I don't want one ...

Yeah, that's why I'm using it anyway in the end. Nonetheless it'd be nice to know, and nicer to see/get builds with better materials in the future. I'll be keeping an eye out.

I understand why you would think like this but think differently. They have a working product. This is refreshing. Someone can easily replicate this in North America (assuming that's you're from) and use better materials. These guys in a sense laid down the foundation or blueprint for vaping concentrates.

There are no advertised questionable materials. We're just saying that there may be...the true is the same of alot of vapes.

The good thing is there is no taste of offgassing/electricity/plastic or anything but the dab.

Exactly!

I remember this rampant speculation went on when the Solo came out. The whole thread was clogged up with much speculation about vapor path materials etc for at least a year. Meanwhile I continued to enjoy my Solo.

Everyone has to make their own decision.

BTW: Should we ask to move this thread to the main area since it is a real shipping product.

This is why I spent the extra $$$ and purchased the Dr. Dabber Boost. Even though I do not have solid proof of them using safer material, my reasoning is the fact that they are an established company that are known for their pen vapes which are plastic and i have not heard or read of this issue being brought up. Furthermore I personally feel as though health is far more important than saving a couple dollars, I mean that's one of the biggest reasons we all have or are trying to fuck combustion right? Now I Could be wrong but this is just my :2c:.

You reasoning is fine...but the Dr dabber is the SAME vape. ..different stickers different color.

All of their vapes are rebranded Chinese vapes that match their color scheme.

I don't think the DR makes anything original.

So I wouldn't give them anything extra under the guise of them doing anything better. It's all the same.

That's what I wanted to hear. Probably will get this later on. I need something for portable dabs fast when I'm hiking or biking.

It comes in a case too, so it makes transportation super simple. I will work perfect for what you need it to, the bubbler is even non spill and it's slim profile makes it travel-able in a coat or a big pocket.
