Discontinued The Grasshopper

Wouldn't vape much at all imo. Gh needs airflow to really shine. Even stuffing the chamber full creates hot spots. Airflow =clouds.
you can pack the herb loosely throughout mouthpiece and chamber. maybe on high temperature mouthpiece can get hot enough.

I'm just answering your quote. You said a mega load. Which wouldn't work as well as a smaller load would with airflow..and it sounds like your just speculating and don't have a unit to test this out on. I do. It won't work well and will be wasteful.

sad that innovation of use is not for you. yes. i'm still waiting for my GH. that's why wondering. i'm sure i will figure how to use mega load efficiently when receiving mine. there is no physical reason why it shouldn't work. if not herb, maybe kief is gonna evaporate in that mouthpiece. or maybe mouthpiece should be wrapped up in some heat isolating materiel. think babe, think! :) and experiment. there is endless possibilities everywhere.

I remember at some point ghl stated they planned on making an external charger but also identified third party external chargers that would work with their batteries.

I asked for a recommendation on external chargers and they declined to say, citing 'liability' as the reason. I was expecting that to be the answer but intrigued seeing your note.

For someone who asked earlier, I almost never use the hydra tube.

I don't think there's any reason to put anything in the mouthpiece. I understand wanting to load more, but I can't see how that'd work at all. I have a friend's hopper now fyi.

After a week + of heavy use, the back end is getting hot (untouchable) more often than not. It's manageable but they've already replaced it once. No issues with functionality other than the back end. It's a lot of load charge, load charge, load charge....

But, I can't seem to put it down for long though.... I could go on and on about the flavor and the hit capacity, damn. Nothing I've used beats it. If your tolerance is low or moderate & you don't burn a lot you'd never need anything else in terms of a portable.

My only criticism comes as no surprise as someone being a heavy user using (in theory) a one hitter.

the mp slides over the whole chamber thus covering the sides of it. The screen on the mp butts against the chamber. No more extra room for weed like the og davinci could do.

I haven't checked in for a while. The latest replacement body is going strong for a month now, with heavy use (I pretty much only use the GH). The last backend is being replaced. It's working, but the pen clip band gets painfully hot when it is on. They sent me a replacement for it already, but that one didn't screw in properly or charge.... Sighhhhhh....

A couple of comments on external charger vs their charger. I recently got an xtar charger, which I've been using more often than the grasshopper charger. I'm not worried at all about screwing the backend on and off.... I had one of the backends pull apart when separating from the Grasshopper charger. Screwing on and off is smooth and easy. I now pretty much use the GH charger in the car. The xtar seems to work great.

I have noticed a definite difference in how long each of the the batteries last. One lasts probably 2 bowls more than the other from full charge. Apparently, all batteries are not equal.

thanx for info! i been looking for charger online. dee other guy suggested Nitecore D2 for Hopper batteries.

how am i supposed to figure which one works better? Xtar VC2 or VC4 series? or maybe that Nitcore?

what does other forumer-vaperists think about these chargers? or maybe someone can say option number 3. for headache sake :)

all i know is that i will want to use HG cordless when at home. will test that lifetime warranty when screwing that thing in and out.

Xtar or Nitecores are both good. VC2 is 2 bay and VC4 is four bay, both identical.

i ordered two extra batteries. is this enough for heavy duty group sessions? are those two gonna keep up with charging while third is being drained out? should i order more?

sorrz for having so many questions as a 5 year old :)

Currently, the Grasshopper has thicker and denser clouds than the VapeXhale Evo.

Can you describe how you compared them? I mean if they were at different temps this would happen all day.

Isn't there more draw resistance in the GH?

Went close to 410 on the EVO today and still had a hard time managing the size of clouds. Unless we're using it wrong :s

Usually there is much more, but if you pack a small amount it's about even. 9/10 packs the Grasshopper will have thicker draw resistance. But cloud wise 3-5 beat the EVO on all temps. Waxes gave us pretty milky draws, but that was most comparable.

That said, exhaling EVO has tons of vapor, whereas you aren't really seeing buildup. Grasshopper you're seeing buildup, which may be the only difference.

In comparing them I just took scaled (0.06 g) dry herb and put that in both. We then looked at the clouds and AVB after 5 hits on temps 3, 4, and 5, and as close to those for the EVO as we could for each bowl. Personal load for each of us.

Temp hasn't affected cloud size or density except below 350 for me personally. I'm really curious as to why this is the case, as I thought the Grasshopper wouldn't fare this well against a brand new EVO (5 days now).

Just got my second hand grasshopper and all i can say is wow. Tastier vapor and larger amounts then my mighty. The vapor is way more harsh though. All in all this thing is a tank.

Oooooh! Swell. I can't wait to get my hands on mine (pre-order, not expecting to see it until deep into 2016.)

No surprise about the harsh-ish hit, considering you're drawing the vapor right out of a convection chamber. That's why I'm planning on using it with a bubbler whenever possible. That said, a harsh-ish hit is a reasonable trade off for a portable vape that genuinely rivals a desktop rig.

I think that sealed the fate of a GH preorder...f**k that!

now it is $ 200 for Ti Hopper when preordered. it will be much more when this thing hits a retailer shops.

i don't get those people who don't preorder. what is the thinking? you will get it in your hands much latter and much more expensiver if waiting.

Perhaps some people would rather have a final production run with any bugs worked out. Horses for courses.
