Suitable vape for hash (exclusively hash- zero weed)

Can you please suggest the best vapouriser for vaping exclusively hash (no weed at all). My stuff is pressed but i chop it to bits.

Well a volcano would always work.

I don't even like vaping hash honestly unless it's with something you can overheat. It takes a really long time at low vaping temperatures and does not hit very hard.

A vapor genie would probably work well but I'd rather smoke/vape hash with heated glass wands, a knifer catcher and a bong

If you use hash oil I would get one of those titanium plate/ knifer catcher things, that's straight vaporization.

If your hash is nice and pure and you use glass wands you will have little to no combustion and super dense hits.

The SSV and Da Buddha are said to vape hash but I never tried it. I would imagine just about any vaporizer that can get hot will be a consideration.

Vrip gets pretty fucking warm if you let it warm up... If you have a water pipe, then you can visit www.vriptech.com and pick up the 2-piece bowl setup and the wand itself. $220 before tax and shipping (~$15) for a 9 or 12mm bubbler, or $230 for 14.4/18.8 setup. 14.4/18.8 makes for an all glass setup
The bowl has a pretty quality stainless steel screen in it (which can be removed and a titanium one or whatever can be put in)
Tastes soo good. Good at extracting the thc from the source :)
Definitely a high end vape.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, all will be considered.

Ive been looking at the surfers/da bhuddas. would the chopped bits sit on the screen(s) ok ? seeing as hash has less bulk (smaller loads-more concentrated material) ? would it not just lay horizontily flat on the glass rather than on the screen ? especially with the angle of the da bhudda chamber.

Sorry if it dont make sense im buzzing off of my herbalaire. :lol:

I've done just about everything in my herbalaire - hash, weed, oil...

For hash, I roll it in long thin small tubes and throw it in the crucible. dump out and crumble after a bit, back in.

For oil, I spread a paper and make a coil/circle for the air to rush over it.

With weed it's easy of course. I loosely wrap the strip of oiled paper around a small bud. Or I sprinkle the hash on the bud, or (the trifecta) I do both of those things.

The Herbalaire has gotten some stains from the oil, but it still works great.

I did hear of a way of making some kind of bowl out of a slicked paper and vaporising that as a non-messy way to vape oil, but never saw it.

It occurred to me that a fine grater might be useful for these purposes - a ginger grater should do. It should be a good way of maximizing the surface area of the hash, and may make it possible for it to be used in a wider variety of vapes.

Hello peeps,

djelimon, yeah the herbalaire is pretty good for most concentrates, the only issue i have is the longevity of the unit itself - mines falling apart amd i look after my shit.

Qbit, im not playing with a grater, i wont have any fingers left lol, i suppose grated hash might work in a silver surfer to bulk out the bowl and thus cover the screen instead of just ssitting on the glass.

Im thinking that a horizontal screen would be best for small clumps of hash to sit on for maximum coverage of the screen and air flow/effiency, Im thinking something like the volcano, extreme or possibly that new bag blower, whatever its called.

Hash is a challenge to vape because when you have a chunk of pressed resin heads and hit it wit hot air, only the outer layer gets cooked. You need to expose as much surface area as possible, by shaving off pieces as thin as possible or otherwise. Qbit may be on to something with the suggestion of using a grater, something small like a 'zester' rasp might be the ticket for large amounts.

Vaping hash on a bed of herb is the standard practice for most vapes, it keeps the screen from getting gunked up and facilitates good airflow. If you're dead set against using any herb your options are pretty limited. Actually one of the few instances a hotplate conduction vape is a good option. It's basically a low temp hotknife.

BTW, what kind of hash are you working with? Please don't say soapbar. :uhoh:

Ive managed too vape hash with my vaporstar without a bed of herb or ABV. managed this by putting a couple of extra screens in it. Top screen will get all gummed up, bottom screen will stay pretty clean. Fun thing with the vaporstar is you can clean the gunk out of the screens by hitting it without anything in the chamber. Ive actually adopted using my vaporstar for vaping hash or kief without anything else.

Hi! i try 2 weeks ago with my vaporstar too, it work very very well! first time i crumble it (don't know if it's the right word ...i'm french :/) but then i put just a little hash piece, you can extract vape as well as possible, piece goes powder gradually and you can crush it when you want with tweezer! So maybe vaporstar will be best and cheapest device to do it, however it need pratice but i think it's easier with hash than with weed!:D

Herbalaire does indeed vape bubble hash and pressed keif awesomely, never tried any oil though. I would sprinkle a bit on top of a small bed of bud in the bowl and none would ever fall through the bowl. But without that bed of weed it will run right down into the heating element. You could use stainless steel wool though, they sell small discs of it for the volcano.

I have always thought a conduction vape would actually be good for hash oils, don't have one so I've never tried it. But I'd imagine the best way to vape hash oil is through conduction. Only problem is the worst built vapes tend to be conduction vapes, not sure there is such a thing as a well built one. :/

The Launch Box is mostly conduction, and it IS a good one. I wouldn't put hash on the screen in mine though.
