I start at 2 and finish at 3, but keep experimenting to see what works for you. Regarding accessories, I started with a folded screen, but got the newVape pusher and love it. I never fill the oven and never need to stir.

If you plan on carrying your pax out and about and are concerned about smell between uses, you should get @Ratchett'a caps.
link to the caps?

but it seems that the aquarium grade silicone used in the adapters is at least somewhat conductive. No science proofs here, but based on the fact that it causes lip sensing party mode to flash like it normally does, this is my assumption.
For the record, it is the weight from the adapter pushing up against the mouthpeice sensor that causes it to sense it...not heat.

anyone tell me pros and cons of pax 2? i really would like to buy it but since ive been using Air i cant seem to see any reason to buy this but its catched my eye atm
The Pax wins in size and durablility...other than that these two vapes are very similar.

Smell is nearly the same, but the air gas the advantage of being able to remove and cap the stem.

The Pax battery does last a little longer, replaceable batteries can come in handy though.

I like both, but honestly they are VERY similar...maybe diversify for the most satisfaction.

I found pax 2 on eBay from American sellers with excellent ratings and a good return policy for about 200 bucks

I have a battery bank that I usually carry around in my bag for when my phone inevitably dies. I've used it to charge my pax 2 and it works just fine. I'd much rather have a multi-purpose battery back like this, with USB ports, than a AA like the MFLB or a removable proprietary battery (unsure if any vapes use one). I use this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JM59JPG it charges my LG G3 fully at least two times, I'll try to have a pax intensive weekend and see how it fares...

Power banks work...true, but the pax2 is a little bit tricky to charge in a bag, I have done it plenty of times when I was a pax2 owner.

If pax had a battery with the same capacity as the one that was on the pax (even if it wasn't an 18650 or AA) I would have happily paid upwards to 40 for it. If the pax2 can make it almost a full day with sharing it on one charge...Two batteries would ensure you would never be let down when it's time to medicate.

The flashing white lights of a dead battery always disappoints a little when trying to use...ijs

I wonder if you can modify your usage behavior to eke more juice from the battery....FWIW, and this may not be nearly the most efficient way to do things, I usually do a session per temp setting, then turn it off. When I want another hit, whether it's 15 min later or a few hours, I just turn it on and set it to the next temp, use it, and shut it off. I run out of weed well before I run out of power, BUT I also haven't used it exclusively as an intensive driver for the whole day (i.e. I'm not vaping continuously).

Similarly FWIW, I've wrapped a small fat rubber band around the pax2 and its dock and tossed it in my bag to charge, it worked perfectly and charged fully while I was hustling through Boston.

Very cool. I just ordered the pax pusher unvented kit. Should be a nice replacement to my brass screen mod.

I'm sure it will be a nice replacement. I almost pulled the trigger on one myself, even had it in my shopping cart and was about to buy it, but I thought about what I could get:leaf: for that 20+ lol. One day I'll buy one since it looks so convenient. Hope you enjoy it and your Pax.

Wow, the fine folks at Pax Labs are freaking amazing! My unit had a sticky and unresponsive button that made it difficult to use, which is especially frustrating when trying to be slick and discrete.

I finally got around to putting in a service ticket and getting in touch with customer service on 12/21. I sent the unit out on 12/23 (easy return instructions made the process pain free) and it got to Pax by 12/26... huge props to USPS. Unfortunately it was the holiday weekend so it wouldn't have been looked at right away. However, the warranty was fulfilled on 12/29, shipping processes began late in the day on 12/31, and I now have a brand new charcoal Pax 2 in my hands. It's beyond awesome that even with two holidays (with X-Mas on a weekend) I was able to send out my Pax and get it back in 10 days.

Oh how I've missed you, sweet sweet tool of the gods.

If you're on the fence about getting the Pax 2 and are looking for something to get you over the hump, the quality and speed of the customer service backing up a very well built device makes it a great investment.

The reason why I decided on it is because my screen that I am using is showing signs of deforming from the high temps, so there is a shelf life to this mod. Super cheap? Sure. Could it fail, rendering the pax almost useless? To me, yes. I think this accessory should of been included in the design originally, this gives a tremendous amount of leverage to the Tree-conscious users who would do a half oven or less.

Can anyone suggestion an odor proof case or do the caps do that good of a job keeping it under control when it's cool? And yeah, I clean it after 3-4 bowls. :)

So I received my PaX Pusher and unvented oven lid and unfortunately the magnetic studs that should be there( there are holes where they should be) are not so the lid does not stay on. The bright side is the pusher came with a screw so I can use it stand alone with the original lid. I tried calling their main number and all of the options sends me straight to voicemail. I left one and will try again tomorrow.

Anyone else have any odd experience with NewVape?

UH60FLT,
Would anyone care to post about their experiences regarding the NewVape pusher and vented/unvented lid combos?

I want use a pusher instead of my rolled/folded up screens, but am unsure whether vented or unvented would work best for me. I use the pax2 just on its own, no glass or anything. I've read about 75% of this thread but didn't see much discussion regarding this product.

Hey quick update. I was contacted by a very nice lady over at Newvape and straightened everything out. Honest mistake on the QA part. They're sending me a new part asap so I can say that NewVape are good people. The part quality is great too.

I personally dont mind the draw resistance as the pay off is consistent. I would imagine it feeling much like if you slightly tilted the oven cover open a little which helps open up airflow.

Just an fyi,
The Pax2 Vented oven lid upgrade * only * applies to lids purchased between the dates of 11-15-2015 to 12-15-2015. Offer expired 12-21-2015.
I sent an email to sales@newvape.com on 12-18-2015 inquiring about this offer for my purchase on 12-10-2015 of the Vented Oven Lid and a Pax Pusher. Was looking to take advantage of the 30% discount with free shipping on the Pax vented Oven Lid 2.0 but never received a response??
Followed up with another email on 12-22 and again no response...

I use the pusher alone (I don't have the vented lid). I prefer the pusher to the rolled screen. It's a better fit and easy to use and clean. So I recommend it.

To help me understand, the combo just keeps everything together and it's possible to use the pusher with the stock oven lid?

I'm ordering from Canada so trying to make the most of our struggling dollar, I won't order the combo if it's not necessary... Unless there are issues using the pusher alone with the stock lid?

The pusher alone with the stock lid works great. It just sits on top of your partial load (and compresses it depending on how forcefully you push on your pusher). The stock lid works fine with it. Do you find the airflow in your pax 2 too restrictive? I think that's why NewVape created the after market vented lid. Personally, I don't think it's necessary. And I expect the designers at pax would have considered that. But some fc'ers seem to like the vented lid.

I purchased the Newvape pusher & there screen last year. I did not need the pusher as i use my pax2 for a session only type of vape. I wanted the screen and it was a combo pack. I have not had the greatest luck with the screen , it is nice for the fact that it drops in and falls right out and makes it easy to clean but i did not get better airflow and also feel heat up time took longer with it as it is thicker than stock.

As promised, here are the contents of my ryot case

Easily can pack everything you need for many sessions + cleaning. I put the caps in the second pic for comparison's sake, the ryot case does a phenomenal job at blocking smell but if I just want to carry my pax with me then the caps are clutch!
